This all goes back to April of 2000, but quite honestly we figured that if you're not interested by now, odds are you aren't going to be. Time to play with the dogs. It's good to believe in dog.

Sample Story

The links to the pictures obviously don't work on the free side, as it would be silly to give you links to a bunch of pictures, many of which we won't show you out here. We're assuming you know what pictures, photo galleries and video clips looks like on the web. If you don't, you're probably not going to have much fun here — well, unless you really like to read a lot. Also, many of our posts comprise a number of pages because of their length. (If we provide easy "breaks" in a story, it's easier to remember where you were if you don't have time to get all the way through an entry in one sitting.) For the purposes of these "Samples" we've done a minor bit of reorganization for ease of display while you're just browsing.

Res Ipso Loquitur

You know how polite people learn at an early age not to say, "I told you so?" OK. That's a beginning ... Now take a quick look at these random pictures:

So how about we tell you a story? Back in the Dark Ages (say, six-eight months ago in Porn Time) we were the folks responsible for maintaining the various web presences for Michael Ninn. Y'all probably remember that if you've been here that long, or have looked back in the archives. Well, it would take too long to go back over how we became close friends with Mr. Ninn, but you can find the stories if you look around, or maybe we'll do a "synopsis" version some time. For now, just recall that Michael has been friendly with Risqué for nearly two decades – primarily because of the women we represent. That may sound callous, but business can be that way sometimes. No sense fretting about it.

At any rate, as part of the Ninn web work, we needed to compress hours and hours of video clips for use on the sites, and we needed to do so every week. Not trying to take too much of the luster off of our business, but we'd be lying if we didn't tell you that even beautiful women performing a variety of sexual acts begin to lose their "uniqueness" after awhile. Sorry. This, too, becomes much more of a "job" than you might imagine. So when one particular scene in the middle of the hundreds of others actually caught out attention, it was a lot more unusual than one might guess.

I remembered the woman from being on set, and she was not only professional and pleasant, but also oddly focused on her "task at hand" as it were. I found this even more unusual because it was the shoot I was on covering Jana Jordan's first experience on a Michael Ninn set. No logical reason existed for me to have even noticed anyone else. Consequently, I actually took a trip into the Ninn Worx offices to at least bring up the noteworthy nature of the performance and my impressions of the woman in general. After the accolades, apparently Michael thought enough of the assessment to set up a meeting.

We don't want to get into too long of a discourse here, so the short version boils down ...

The next time we were in LA Michael had arranged for us all to sit down and talk, oddly enough outside the Hustler Hollywood store late one evening. About 10:00 we all had our various Southern California Coffee Drinks and the discussions began. As it turned out, she was not only good on set, but she had a great many things going for her just in conversation as well. She had drive and dreams, sure, but every porn performer has those. She also had a boyfriend that appeared not only supportive, but possessing a series of skills that could actually enhance the "family" goals espoused. She could also talk about things that had absolutely nothing to do with adult movies, or sex in general. Imagine. Most importantly, though, she possessed the very rare trait absolutely critical for long-term success in this business: She didn't take herself too seriously. We finally parted ways at about 1:00 in the morning, and keeping Michael focused on anything besides editing for three hours is no small feat, I can assure you.

As we got back into the car for the drive back to the hotel, I had succinct advice: "Sign that woman."

Well, Michael admitted being impressed too, although he expressed reservations about her not fitting "the same image" as Jana and the rest of the folks he had in mind for Ninn Worx contract performers. Understand that Michael has always had a very weird (from my perspective) view of lead players in his shows. At one point Julia Ann lost out on a lead for him because she wasn't available one of the six days he would need her, and he couldn't move the day because the house was only available that day. Remember the movie Perfect? ... Don't feel bad: Nobody else does either.

It was a long ride back to our lodgings for the evening, though, what with it being LA and all, and by the time we arrived he had "decided" to just develop a different line for this obviously extraordinary woman. He had also decided that "the company will handle it," however, and told me in precise terms to "stand down" on this negotiation. OK. Not my company. Not my client. ... I stood down.

Apparently "the company" decided that, for whatever reason, the issue wasn't important enough to complete, because that's the last we ever heard of the potential. Then we went to the AVN Awards show. We noticed an interesting little tidbit in the reports from last week:

Performer of the Year
Sasha Grey

You know, sometimes when you do something for a long time for someone ... I don't know, say, web work ... they seem to forget how you became friends in the first place. And you want to know one of the other things I've recently learned about getting older? We seem to forget some of those things "polite people learn at an early age not to say" .... Isn't life interesting?

[We've never been able to figure out exactly why, but the Innocence line has never done very well in the risqué catalogue. Maybe folks around here are more the "plot driven" kinds of fans, and these shows certainly don't fall into that category. Basically they're a series of (actually unconnected theme-wise) scenes on a "floating" white set. They utilize bright modern furniture, and the performers basically set their own pace on a big rotating turntable. Still, since we did happen to notice Sasha's particular scene in this particular movie, we thought we'd add it just in case some of you have missed it. We put it at a special price, as per our custom here, and if you've never seen Sasha at work, it will serve as a fine example. Also, D.Minion will be happy, as we honestly didn't provide as much "elaboration" as she would have preferred. Very nice lady, that D.Minion ...]
