3/27/09	Aren’t they peculiar, the turns life often makes? Somehow, and against odds no actually knowledgeable person could have taken, we have found ourselves once again mentoring an adult production company. This time, though, it happens to be a brand new one, which makes the challenge unique, and that’s always fun. If we do a reasonable job, you may well be hearing about Night Moods Productions — hopefully in a positive way, come to think of it. On the upside, we do find ourselves consistent with our most dear philosophy as we approach life’s peculiar turns: At the very least we should try and accomplish new and different mistakes. 3/25/09	Not being the type to (intentionally) go back on promises to Members, we’re serving up Maverick’s 247AdultStars exposé on Day Three of the 2009 AEE today. 3/22/09	Our Newbie completes his task this weekend, as we wrap up the Uncle Gibby tribute to the 2009 AEE. He even did such a bang-up job on its companion video compilation that we demanded he allow us to double his salary — which if you know us at all means that this constitutes a guest editorial. We love our guest editorials, but the writers don’t honestly get much in the way of what most people would call “salary” — probably. Of course, we’ve never been overly concerned with what “most people” would do. As it turns out, that’s a very good thing around here. We’d spend most of our time being depressed. 3/21/09	The Vernal Equinox visits us again, reminding us of freshness, hope, and rebirth. Consequently we thought about Phoenix. … What can we say? We’re clever that way. Also, it’s generally sufficiently entertaining to read D.Minion’s Phoenix account, that you almost don’t notice the decidedly strange slant that she can bring to adult situations. If, however, you do happen to notice, take some advice from the ancient ones around here: Just pretend you don’t. 3/17/09	It seemed we should celebrate one of the few global holidays that don’t involve giving gifts, since that’s a tiny group. Consequently, Maverick finished up his Day Two of the AEE ’09, providing at least what may pass for edification in the process. We’re not sure about that, but we will tell you what we’ve learned about St. Patrick’s Day around here: You don’t technically need green beer; if you have enough of it, pretty much everybody at the party will be green. 3/15/09	Because of the weirdness of yesterday we didn’t actually get to the “bitty bonus” with Dee as soon as we wanted to. That said, there’s never really a bad time for Dee, and we did promise to keep plodding through her KSEX backlog. (OK, so we promise that every time she brings it up, but we always really mean it.) Also, we were obligated to make a couple of instructional additions to the new Message Board system, and we got a chance to blame Maverick for some more things. … All in all, this worked out as a fine addendum. 3/14/09	So we had perfectly wonderful news yesterday, cleverly coinciding with a rare second Friday the 13th in consecutive months. You see, THE MESSAGE BOARD IS BACK! Naturally this means that members can once again correspond with our favorite females directly, and that pretty much makes everybody happy. … Then we learned that a little bit of knowledge can still be a dangerous thing as D.Minion pulled rank a bit and “offered” her consultation services to the post. 3/11/09	Another Michael Ninn shoot is in the can, and at least one judge even says Michael has the right to use that name. A bit overcome with glee, though, we found ourselves in the midst of an unusually long movie trek over the last few days. On the upside that meant we had to spend an unusually long time on the set with Monique Alexander and Jenna Haze, though, so it was pretty hard to complain. Of course none of this has much to do with Uncle Gibby’s expose on Days Two and Three of the AEE, but it does give us more to look forward to, right? Oh, and because Dear Maverick decided that an autograph from Monique wasn’t worth waiting in line for, Tori Black has decided she’s going to “kick his butt” next year. 3/6/09	Our new friend Titillating Tenaya trots before us again today. … OK. So she’s not technically trotting, and although she’s definitely titillating, she doesn’t really use the adjective as part of her name. 3/4/09	Apparently modern technology allows a humble young man in Wisconsin to fire a shot clear over the Atlantic Ocean and get the attention of a similarly humble man over in London, England. Wow. How cool is that? … Maverick read Uncle Gibby’s Day One of the 2009 AEE post, and immediately began his serious efforts at getting up the 247AdultStars version of the events. For our part we get to see them both, naturally, as we pretty much use any excuse we can to get it up. (As it were.) 3/1/09	Back when he first started 247AdultStars.com Maverick began by working closely with an English performer named KazB. In fact, they worked so closely together that Mav even created an entire section in 247 called “Kaz Picks” where Kaz did exactly that. Now back in the early days of the site, Kaz always “picked” various sexy women to perform with her, but as you’ve probably seen in your own lives, women change as they get older. As we see the Ides of March on the horizon here, Kaz has apparently broadened her own horizons, to, well, not include a “broad” — as it were. 3/26/06	It depends on how you look at today’s first Ninn Worx Weekend in too long a time. It could be a deep and philosophical commentary on legal trends spanning the globe, particularly as those issues pertain to technology. Or it could be a thinly-veiled excuse to look at Anais, Georgia Adair, Angel Cassidy, Mia Smiles, and a handful of their female porn friends doing … well, what female porn friends do. Consider it Unbridled – in various fashion, and then just enjoy it. That’s what we’d do. Who cares about lawyers anyway? 3/24/06	We figured we’d ease on into the weekend with a little bit of Dee on her birthday … well, and then in her birthday suit. 3/19/06	You know how sometimes you get these “technological advances” that turn out not to be so helpful? Well, for some inexplicable reason we looked up the “Word Count” in D.Minion’s article On the Set of Fem: Diva and Lost Angels: Olivia Del Rio before we started to compile it for you members. This was not a smart thing to do. We have no idea what possessed us. All we accomplished was scaring ourselves to death, and then we still had to do the work anyway. If we hadn’t, you see, you’d have missed the 245 pictures of Anais, Dee, Olivia, and even Kristal Summers (albeit in a “crew” capacity). On the other hand you would have missed the pictures of horses, cows, old farm equipment, and a couple of Port O’ Potties too, so you can look at this two ways at least. Still, the beautiful women (and Eric Masterson, Carol) probably make up for it. At the very least you’ll learn that city-people are funny. 3/17/06	You’re supposed to wear green today. Or maybe you’re supposed to wear orange, it’s just that most people think you’re supposed to wear green. Like most things in life, it all gets really complicated if you look at it too closely. That’s why we chose blue. Actually we chose Wendy Divine in (and out of) blue. And if you think about it logically, you’re probably going to want to pinch Wendy pretty much whatever she’s wearing (or not); on a good day, she might let you too. 3/11/06	Well, a lot of things have happened to the Risqué clients over the years, but oddly enough (particularly considering their vocation) this is the first time we can remember that one of them got pregnant. We’ve had a few marriages over the years, but this will be the first offspring – at least that we know about. Now that doesn’t really have anything to do with the Night Calls post today, but we did want to publicly congratulate Juli Ashton, and wish her the best. 7/27/05	Oh, boy … Now we’ve done it. For those of you that aren’t members of both sites, Michael (over at MichaelNinn.com obviously) recently wanted us to try putting D.Minion stories about his shoots over on his site too. Now we’ve always put them here if they inolved anyone we know and love, but a silly as it sounds Mr. Ninn sometimes does shoots that don’t include any Risqué women. I know. Crazy, huh? Anyway he loved the way it looked and the response it got, so now he wants us to do them for EVERY Ninn Worx shoot. Now it may not seem like it, but it’s a lot of work to post these stories the way we do, and since The Risqué Clan represents the major focus around here, we came up with a plan. We agreed to the task on the condition that y’all could see the “other” Ninn shoot stories too, and Michael agreed (happily, we might add). So today you get to see Porn Star which, although not technically starring anyone from our group, the movie does rather heavily relay on some personalities you may be very familiar with. That’s all we’ll say. We don’t mind helping Michael, but we’re still going to be nice about it. 7/25/05	One would think that working in the XXX Industry would be a fairly good job. Now we should probably dispell some myths here before we even get started, so “bare” [sic, we know] with us as we try not to ruin too many fantasies. … Hmm … This might be too large of a topic for a “New Stuff” lead-in, so let’s just go with the Bigee Myth: Women in the Porn Industry don’t actually have sex with anyone, anywhere, at the drop of a hat, or even trousers. OK. That’s over with. Actually this works exactly like most jobs. Everything gets old if you do it often enough. Honestly, the technical production of your favorite Adult Fare, probably wasn’t nearly as romantic as you might imagine. Put in more understandable terms, if you’re married it’s not that your spouse has “lost something” nearly so much as it is that you’re just really, really used to it. So don’t feel bad. (Do something about it, but don’t just sit around feeling bad.) More on point for the rest of us, as to today’s purposes we’ve called our wonderfully illustrated insights “Down in the Dolldrums” [still sic, we know]. 7/13/05	Well we assume that figuring out what went wrong should make us feel better, but basically it just means that we have a lot of “fixing” to do. Sigh. Still, the first lost story that surfaced from technical oblivion happened to be D.Minion’s account of the same Innocence shoot that Lon had an account of … sort of. There were a couple of shoots going on at the same time, and DM (this time around) only accounted for ONE of the two while still managing to get in 280 pictures and over 6,000 words. This is one of those many, many words posts, y’all, so prepare yourselves while we go look for some more of what we lost. Don’t worry too much though: We’re only looking for lost stories. We gave up looking for our minds some time ago. Call this D.Minion’s take on “Innocence and Slutty Innocence.” Oh, and there was a tie in the voting for the thumbnail to include here, so we just used them both. 6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight.
