Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. It seemed appropriate that we end our first “Official Juli Ashton Week” as we began it — with a D.Minion recap of Night Calls, this time from May of 2005. Not only does it bring us up to date on Juli’s wonderful television program, but it also serves on the eve of a special day for a very special friend. Today we have a Hard Drive of a different kind, although the lovely Georgia Adair may create a more typical kind of hardness in many of us. About the time we were first negotiating with Michael Ninn for Georgia, she was in town killing time at our friend Danni Ashe’s place. D.Minion was there, camera and instruction book in hand.
