10/26/22	According to rumor, plaid becomes the fad today, although in this little neck of the risqué woods, that hardly seems like the most interesting part. Also interesting. … A lesbian couple bringing toys to their vigorous Sapphic picnic? 10/22/22	In honor of Maverick’s look back at his last AEE, we decided to continue our trend of remastering “how AVN used to be” with a presentation featuring thousands of words, hundreds of pictures, and 6-7 videos (maybe more, this one really does go on and on) from the 2018 show. On the upside, this puts our Industry Event Reminders task complete for the last six years. Of course two of those years there were no in-person events because of that … thing we had. Remember that Thing? We are hoping this year helps us forget. … Or, y’know, we’ll all get sick and die. … AVN has a new venue this year, so we shall see, but wait until we get back to those “early century” events. 10/15/22	A really famous good and wise fellow once said that beer is proof that God loves us. Of course these days we’re supposed to forget all the good that came from our founding era because of the prevalence of the undeniably bad. Society changes, and sometimes it takes a little time on the planet to realize that little important fact. This does not mean that we should forget, or certainly not condone, all actions from our history, but painting it all in horrible colors misrepresents the past and belittles the sacrifices of all those who have for generations worked to make life better for all of us. Of course one would need to teach that history to acknowledge its importance, but that debate belongs in a different forum. 10/11/22	We have had remarkably little time to pontificate as of late, what with the barrage of new video and home page renovations hitting the Risqué Commune sites, so we intentionally built in a slight pause today. For example, “as I walk along, I wonder what went wrong with our love” … at least some of the time anyway. And then I think, “Oh, yeah. It was probably that boning your sister thing that caused a bit of our discord.“ Others may have different answers to that question, but we’d venture to say not many will have nearly so clear an indication as to a likely explanation. So in a jump to a completely different (and distinctly more pleasant) topic — with Uncle Gibby in tow for good measure — we shall reminisce a tad about … our little runaway. If you count yourself in that crossover list, you may well remember that Wag the Dog happened to be an excellent script, brought to life by a few extremely talented movie folks. We find ourselves in a similar distracted focus situation these days, admittedly with much less of a “global significance” overall, however. On the upside, even with significantly less writing acumen applied to the issue, Nadia Styles, Dragon Lily, and Mia Austin provide a much more decorative inspiration than do Misters De Niro and Hoffman. 10/18/15	When we were shooting Night Calls: The Movie 2 for Playboy TV, Juli Ashton’s co-star Doria — the Night Calls co-host before Tiffany Granath — was having a devil of a time remembering one of her lines. Somewhat sadly, the line was, “I get by with a little help from my friends,” which probably says more about Doria’s state of mind at the time than it does her musical taste. Here many, many years later we still remember that story and that song. More importantly, we still remember the concept, because each of us probably lives that way more often than we’d like to admit. Granted, some folks might not put helping out Shayla or Ginger in the “favor” category, but if it gets us homemade cookies, we’re going to count it. Not every favor has to be major, after all. We have all heard this qualification: “A friend will help you move; a good friend will help you move a body.” … Thankfully none of us has ever needed to be a good friend within this definition. “Show some naked pictures for me” really suits our mentality a lot better anyway. 10/2/15	The folks over at ReelRisque added to their growing collection of “artsified” videos this week, as has become their tradition. Most of the time these updates include both videos and still photo galleries, but not every time, as you may have noticed. Actually, according to the page logs, a good percentage of you have figured out that although we tend to mention these updates on Fridays, they will sometimes technically appear a day or two earlier than that on the ReelRisque site. If you get used to watching the new videos off of that home page, though, you miss all the words, and if you do not check out our “OOMPH to the ILF in MILF” here then you will miss the small collection of stills too. 5/31/03	Ladies and Gentlemen, and Maverick, we have a happy day today! When you see the size of it, you’ll understand the delay in getting you all the next Risqué Revelation that has become the Becoming Georgia Adair Mini-Series. We’re finally into Day One, which means we’re firmly into hard core here. Those of you that have been waiting to see Georgia in hard core action will wait no longer. It will take some perseverance however. There are nine picture pages, containing over 200 still images. There are two silly videos, and a trailer small enough for slow connections to see it (courtesy of Georgia herself). The story itself covers three lengthy pages alone. 5/26/03	Being as how it’s Memorial Weekend, we’ve been reminiscing for a few days. On this, the technical “Memorial Day,” it seemed a fitting conclusion to reflect once more on our own little place in the world. It was only a little more than a year ago that D.Minion documented a day where Devinn Lane filled in for an absent Danni Ashe and interviewed Aimee Sweet for “In Bed With Danni.” Ah, what a difference a year makes. Still, although things don’t always work out like we plan, it has been our experience in life that they do in fact tend to work out for the best. Maybe that’s what makes this such a fun job. 5/18/03	You know sometimes it’s just the simplest things that make you bonkers. (That would be the medical definition, by the way.) It seems that in our efforts to upgrade the Operating System software for part of our server system, we got a little tired and accidentally layed an errant finger down on the keyboard. It turns out that one little pesky comma can completely shut down the posting system for a week. Bleh. So you’re probably seeing a bunch of new posts for the first time tonight. Sorry, but at least we found the problem. (Stupid comma.) As a Sunday Night Bonus, though, members can now see the trailer for Becoming Georgia Adair — at least two weeks before anyone else out there can. You’re going to be the envy of all your friends. However, we’ve made up for this slight tardiness by including not only the next D.Minion peek into Georgia’s shoot, but we also put together a couple of quick sets of some other women you might remember. TJ Hart was by the office and gave us some “on the set” shots of her, including a couple with our own Inari Vachs, and Wendy Divine dropped off some rather candid shots of a party she and Eric Masterson had before they switched apartments.
