10/28/08	Apparently the “business” Internet connections in the U.K. don’t function the same way as the ISPs do over here in civilization. Poor Maverick has waited almost a week to get his connection back, as they keep sending someone out to “try something” and then it doesn’t work so they just promise another technician will be by in 24-48 hours. … For our part we decided to help the chap out by posting his 247 update and telling everyone about it here. This method has the distinct benefit of allowing us to say pretty much whatever we want, and he can’t even check it to defend himself. We’re off to LA for the next “super-secret” shoot, but rumor has it that we’ll at least be able to talk about it next week, so that’s a plus. First thing we’ll do when we get back this weekend will be to make corrections to protect Mav’s reputation. … Probably. It would be wrong to title this Sandie Caine is Able, right? 10/24/08	So it may not rank up there with Aristotle and the Round Earth theory, or Pythagoras and his Theorum(s), or Newton and the Apple on the some silly scale like “change the evolution of human thought and civilization” or anything, but today a new risqué author confronts a challenge of impressive proportions as he attempts to set about placing porn in relative perspective. That said, we will warn you: History is good — often sad, generally misremembered, and continually open to debate, but “good” in a wholesome sense of the word. 10/16/08	Maverick has a bit to say about Harry’s last party today, what with him being all in the party mood again with Vegas and mucho porn partying on the horizon. That’s said, it’s still before Halloween here and before the Presidential Election, as you certainly can’t miss hearing about unless you’re living under a rock or something. 10/9/08	Ah, but sometimes you just love the easy ones. Not that we’re saying you could consider Lorraine Sisco “easy” , of course. Because that would be wrong. As only DM can do, when faced with the apparent contradiction, she explained simply, “But it’s Juli.” Oh. That helps. 10/3/08	You ever meet anyone that just can’t throw anything away? To these unusual creatures “old, obscure, and useless” somehow morphs in their brains into “retro, cool, and valuable,” and most of (read: sane among) us have no idea how this happens. Well, D.Minion has been a bit ill lately, giving her an unusual amount of time wandering the recesses of her … um … unique abode. Understanding that this place boasts overflowing shelves of Sonny and Cher dolls, you can see that it always frightens us when DM spends too much time there. The brain can only take so much 70’s influence before it starts rebelling, at least that’s our theory. Now consider the “super-secret extra collection” of risqué memorabilia she unearthed recently, and you have some idea of what you’re in for today. It won’t make anything easier to “grok” (since we’re using retro terms), but sometimes just trying to figure out how you got to a place can help. At least you can try to avoid the problem in the future. For our part we’ve issued an official memo forbidding D.Minion from ever getting sick again. 7/31/08	Did you ever do anything really dumb just because a good friend wanted you to? Yeah, well, this doesn’t exactly qualify as jumping off a cliff, or climbing up and painting the town water tower or anything, but we’re still putting up a story today that in good conscience we must simply encourage all of you not to read. For some undoubtedly deeply psychological reason, D.Minion has decided that we’re really all quite interested in a couple of aging domestic animals, and she has gone so far as to provide pictures (to our great shame). That said, we always make it easy for you to skip down to the bottom of an entry just by hitting the little camera icon at the top of the page, and you should definitely do that today. Once there you’ll find that we did manage to sneak in a bit of lesbian shower fun with Taren Steele and Juli Ashton — and there’s not a household pet in site. 7/20/08	Apparently, there has been grumbling among the ranks. Allegedly the senior member of the “team” here has been absent altogether too much as of late, causing the whiners to commence with their harmony. 7/9/08	You’d think we’d learn. Every time we put up a “D.Minion at a convention” story we’re amazed at the amount of quirky information she manages to uncover — even when she tries to “tame” her approach. Then, naturally, as we go through the process of adding our minutiae (which sometimes turns out not to be all that “minute” if you want to be technical about it) the posts seem to take on a life of their own — typically a very weird life. … Well, you’ll be happy (or maybe sad) to know that we’ve done it again with Erotica LA, 2008. If you do nothing else in life, at least you should try to be consistent, we think. Consistently good occasionally happens as a bonus, but we always strive for that. It’s good to have a plan. 7/1/08	Reading a book the other day we realized that we don’t say “various and sundry” enough around here, particularly when you realize that this phrase pretty much sums up our lives. So we’re down shooting some more content and we stop for lunch. As we pull in to the lot for our favorite Valley-Local “Burger, Hot Dog, Chinese Food” joint, we notice a new bus stop bench out front advertising a “Topless Truck Wash” . Now presumably they don’t wash only topless trucks, but that’s still not overly odd. It’s LA, after all. Then we pop into a restroom inside and notice an expression of the quickly dying graffiti art written on the wall above the urinal. “Fuck the bitch, Suzie” it said, and it gave the anticipated phone number. Now other than obviously being less elegant than the traditional “For a good time” approach it didn’t really capture our attention until we read the last line reading, “Recommended by Ed.” … Don’t you just love style? Fortunately today we’re discussing neither men’s rooms nor Chinese restaurants that serve hot dogs. Instead we’ve unleashed even more “Dee on KSEX” entries, these being specifically from June 3rd and June 10th – of 2004. 5/30/08	We love summer time around here. It brings wonderful experiences each and every year. … Long days and warm evenings. Homemade ice cream. Picnics. Vacations, short and long. 5/5/08	It’s “Cinco De Mayo” which technically means “the fifth of May” but apparently it’s a reason to celebrate. Now according to D.Minion it’s sort of a Mexican Independence Day, “but it really isn’t” … and that just goes to show that former teachers can be annoyingly precise. Still, it did seem a reason to celebrate some degree of multi-cultural happiness, not that we’ve ever really needed much of a reason to do that. Actually any reason to contact Lorraine Sisco (She’s German, you know.) pretty much works for us and we’re perfectly willing to admit that. 6/30/07	It may seem hard to believe, but we always read and (mostly) listen to the member emails that come in. Now we can’t say we always follow the “advice” since some of the “suggestions” seem to be physically impossible, but some of them are actually nice, and those we tend to pay attention to. We also like giving friends a semi-public chance to “vent” when life has given them lemons … or marshmellow bunnies, or something … and so we’re able to accomplish two goals very early in the process today. We get to see a lot of “Dee Behind the Scenes” changing clothes and generally being adorable and we get to learn some history that involves many, many naked women. All in all, with this much accomplished before nine o’clock in the morning, we’d better go spend some quality time with the dogs. 6/17/07	We’re off to a geek convention so that we might learn new and improved ways to be confused in our everyday efforts, and then we’re staying down for the Erotica LA Convention next Weekend. Now as we understand it, one should make a practice of being kind to strangers, and so that’s what we’re doing in this particular mega-venture to entertain you in our absence. While Maverick doesn’t qualify as someone we don’t know obviously, we can assure you with absolute certainty that he is indeed stranger than most people you’ll ever meet. Lamenting his failure to arrange a visit to correspond with our upcoming parade with porn stars, he … let’s say, unhappily … pointed out that we never made time to publish his … let’s say unique … adventures at the AEE last January. So we’ve made the (considerable) effort to do that. Without providing too much editorial comment at this early juncture, let us just point out that you could read 1,000 words and look at 100 pictures on each of the seven days covering our little trip here, and you’d still have four more pictures to go – along with Heaven knows how many words. Culture is a curious thing; add it to the XXX world, and you’ve got an interesting animal to say the least. We didn’t really go to the rodeo this weekend, but there’s one in town and this guy wearing a cowboy hat had that shirt on, so we figure it’s a fair assumption that the shirt ended up at the rodeo too.
