Levels of Courage at Risque

The Habitat of Horny | à la Lexi Love

As we move into the even smaller, but also unique, bravery of Lexi Love, I should preface the comments with the admission that I personally have no experience with being on the receiving end of this activity. As I understand the issue, though, getting certain bodily fluids in one’s eye tends to put a quick damper on a sexual mood. Aggressive oral techniques can in many cases have the same effect according to research compiled sporadically over 20+ years in the adult movie business. (People you meet tend to be very frank about their sexuality when they meet you accompanying a porn star — or six.)

Still, what completely shuts down amorous intention in some of us most definitely “works” for others, and we should remember that too. One of the core freedoms people fight — and occasionally die — for surrounds religious freedom. Now many folks might take issue equating sexual freedom with religious expression, but clearly they have never had great sex. At least that’s how I look at it. Given the right situation, the right person(s), and the right amount of time, well, one can have a spiritual experience well worth a fight or two in order to recapture.

We have quite a few Lexi Love scenes on the “potential assets” drives. (Honestly we still find it amusing that such a dry, geeky, terminology can take on such a decidedly different tint when dealing with the kind of “assets” we do.) In each of these scenes Lexi uses her assets with an admirable abandon, and an unmitigated glee. For this, we thank her, if even not all of us understand her. Lexi should be free to “love” as she chooses, and on the day before a horrible anniversary, we should celebrate that.

A Thank You That Should Never Get Old

For any above a certain age, simply the phrase “9/11” will immediately conjure up deep emotional response. No matter what else may be going on at that particular moment, someone saying “9/11” will always give us pause. Different examples in time exist, but these will always be very rare occurrences. Bottom line, those of us that do remember have a responsibility to those people that do not.

Even More Risque:  Andie Valentino: Want Somebody to Love

During our discussion of whether we should post ReelRisque on Thursday or Friday, it dawned on someone that some people now actively making careers in the adult movie industry were not yet in kindergarten when the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon took place. Talk to them about “the” crash site in rural Pennsylvania, and they may not even know what you’re talking about. It falls upon the rest of us to remind them so that they may pass the knowledge along.

Yet Another Sobering EPILOGUE:

When you figure out that you personally remember things which others in the conversation actually learned in history class, that can be a sobering moment in life. Without getting overly maudlin, it kind of makes you wish you had paid more attention to your grandparents as a youth. It can also make you realize that you really need a new wardrobe as well.

[You can in fact find more of a discussion of this topic over on the free area of ReelRisque.com as well. Do be warned that this article ends with the somewhat painful observation that “one should endeavor never to put Descartes before the hoarse.” We have clearly been a bad influence. LINK]
