Nymphetamine Ninn — On Set

All in all, maybe the holiday season has us all thinking about food around here, but cooking up a new way for “IMNinn” to make a movie seems an apt description of this day. In the culinary world, a “reduction” results basically from simmering a collection of ingredients until a good percentage of the water steams away. This results (theoretically) in a highly concentrated version of the basic flavor sensations included, and that may describe Nymphetamine better than most typical porn accolades.

nymphetamine imageWe all know, “The longest journey begins with the first step,” and all of that. But not all steps begin what turns out to be a long journey. For what it’s worth, this trip just might turn out to be a good one for Michael and his new compatriots. For the first time since those vaunted “Jane Hamilton as Producer” days back at VCA, Michael has a partner on set that brings a definite sense of how to shoot movies to the equation. Granted, they may well have to keep explaining to all of the young talent on the set what Celluloid Addiction actually means, but in the grand scheme, that seems like a pretty small hurdle.

If you’re curious about some of those, call them larger hurdles, as a background to all of this, the legal battles continue to rage, making the lawyers richer and pretty much everyone else more and more depressed. Apparently Ninn Worx continues to work without Mr. Ninn, as odd as that sounds. Sadly, odds remain good that a great many more sleepless nights will precede resolution of what you can think of as essentially a bitter divorce. Who said what, and who should have believed what else, and why so-and-so did such-and-such, really almost doesn’t matter in the world of civil litigation. Too often the outcome hinges on which side has the temerity to keep battling for what they believe to be right; and way too often that comes down to which side has more money to throw at the fight. But that’s another story entirely … .

Even More Risque:  Andre Madness — Colors of Cooperation

For now, Michael still owns 49% of that company, though. Oh, goodie. With that and five dollars he can get coffee at Starbucks. Still, true artists have no “quit” in their art, and to a great degree it generally remains true to itself. If you didn’t like Michael Ninn movies before, chances are good that IMNinn won’t dazzle you either. But for one of a select few that got to spend a little more time watching a great talent take yet another step in a new direction, it was again a joy to watch.

If we could all just spend a few hours each week watching an individual do something at which they truly excel, the world would be likely a better, and certainly more spiritual, place.
