Without putting too fine of a point on it here, we can probably all agree that these were some pretty ugly efforts by modern standards. To be fair to the [quite small] team that was working on the web efforts in 2000, though, you have to remember what the web in general looked like. The fact that these had color and pictures at all made them noteworthy. Now might be a fine time to show you what AOL looked like in 1999. [Hey, for the era we were quite happy.
