Talk to any serious fan of a team playing in the Super Bowl, and they will tell that they probably feel as nervous before the game as any of the coaches or players. Sure, we know we have absolutely nothing to do with the outcome, and whatever happens will have absolutely no monetary impact on our lives. It changes the conversations at work in the morning, almost certainly increases the beer consumption in the winning city the night before, but that’s about it.
