1/29/21	We consider it fundamentally unfair when, in the midst of a heated argument, one party brings up something that happened at any point prior to one year ago from the date of the dispute. Consequently, as anyone who has been in a long-term relationship can tell you, somewhere around 95% of all arguments between couples therefore rate as fundamentally unfair. 1/20/21	Depending upon when you read this update it may be gone (or otherwise repurposed), but for the last few months we have had a countdown over in the sidebar set to expire at 12:00 noon EST on this day. Some of you may know the significance of that specific time on that specific day, while the majority of you may not care at all. 1/18/21	Sometimes you do not realize how much you miss an old friend until you run across a photograph of them. Have you ever noticed that? Granted, we have no idea how Millennials “run across” old photographs, since they seem culturally opposed to printing anything, but maybe they sit in some comfy chair and scroll through the Gallery app on their phones. (There is a Gallery App on phones, right?) Whatever the case, we have much more convenient — not to mention explicit — ways to stir up some Stephanie Swift memories today. 1/8/21	Anyone who has ever watched a football game on tv has probably seen the commercial featuring a bunch of coaches uttering a collection of memorable quotes. Foremost among them might be Vince Lombardi pacing along a frozen sideline yelling, “What the hell’s going on out there?” … Having viewed (like most of us probably) the shocking chaos at the U.S. Capitol this past Wednesday, we have decided that from this point forward every meeting of any member of Congress, no matter what the location, no matter how significant the meeting, should set aside a few seconds at the beginning for the Parliamentarian to play the clip of Vince Lombardi yelling, “What the hell’s going on out there?” … Seems like we have lost that message somewhere along the line, and Dear Vince can help us. For our part, we have decided the best we can do would be to distract a bit with Love — and these days we can all use a little Love with a capital “L” at the first.
