1/29/06	Call it a hunch, but we’re thinking we’ve got the first of a few of the “Seen on the AEE 2006 Scene” reports here. We’re trying to start everyone off easy by not subjecting you to the feared mass of a typical D.Minion elucidation on the annual event in Las Vegas, so we figured we’d start with lil’ ol’ SteveD – a man of few words and many pictures – a man, in other words, close to the hearts of many members. So if you’re looking for Kristal Summers, Juli Ashton, Christy Canyon, Julia Ann, or anyone else that might hang out at a porn convention, well, so was Steve. And all of the women seemed very happy to pose for Steve. He must be a very kind man. In a past life, maybe SteveD was Ghandi. 1/28/06	All in all, waking up every morning to the sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean beats the heck out of waking up to the sounds and smells of millions of automobiles. Still, if you have to hang out in Los Angeles it doesn’t hurt to hang out with Miko Tan and Eva Angelina, particularly when you can make fun of the folks from the city. Out here, let’s just say we had a Fabulous time. Inside, of course, you’ll see (and read if you’re so inclined) much more … um … detail. It’s all about “d” tail around here, y’all. Speaking of tales, just when you think you’ve heard everything in this business, you realize you’re wrong. Now I’ve been in the XXX industry for 15 years now, and even I get suprised. While on this Ninn Shoot, one of the male performers looked over to the monitors and said, “She’s too tight.” Understandably confused, the young Director looked at me and asked what to do. Naturally I gave the most obvious answer that came to mind. “Give me her phone number,” I suggested. One need always maintain perspective I’ve learned. 1/23/06	It occurs to us that some people may need something to take their mind off of fumbles, interceptions, general embarrassment and overall ickiness. In our vast experience with these feelings of sadness, we’ve found that Anais can be a dandy diversion. If, for example, you have some stunning exclusive pictures of Anais practicing her modeling on a country set, and then you have visual evidence of Anais being somewhat skilled at self-satisfaction, you might be able to avoid burning everything orange and blue in your wardrobe. 1/22/06	Have you ever felt like important things just take an eternity to come to fruition? Well as it turns out a lot of things come (at least as a sort of fruition) in Wicked’s Eternity, and because we know people that know people we can tell you some things about it. For example Julia Ann’s horse didn’t really die in this movie, nor did our buddy Eric Masterson. See how important it is to keep up to date around here? 1/20/06	Sometimes the simplest things in life can make all of the difference, can’t they? Take for example a week where you get stuck doing all sorts of really un-sexy things like upgrading servers and checking php code for a new catalogue system that no one else is even going to know is there if it works right. And then say you still have like 70,000 images from the Vegas convention to go through (well, there probably aren’t that many, but there are a lot) and some of them are quite frankly just a little oogey. When you’re having a week like that, it turns out Monique Alexander can just brighten your whole day. Come to think of it, she’s always pretty much had that effect on the office. 1/16/05	Woo-Hoo! In going through some of the current “tasks” for the folks over at michaelninn.com we happened across some devilishly fun clips of our old friend Shayla LaVeaux. Naturally, we blatently coopted these little diddies for our own use as well because we Risqué are a loyal bunch … and we have historically enjoyed sexy naked women too. OK. 1/15/05	Well, we’re still going through a bazillion pictures and mpegs from the recent AEE show, and we finally took a break to let everyone know we’re still alive, despite having had to listen to all of the sportcasters across the country explaining how wonderful the Indianapolis Colts are, and how sadly overrated the Denver Broncos are. Odd, that. More to the point, however, we took some time to put together a quick set of Kristal Summers hanging around the hotel room, when she wasn’t hanging around the convention. 1/9/06	Apparently while we were gone the “New Year’s” post (below) kept appearing and disappearing. Not being sure what exactly happened, we decided to blame it on Gremlins, since we don’t want to waste all of our “Blame it on D.Minion” chits this early in the year. That said, we’re trying something different, which for us generally means we’re going to end up in a place completely different from the one we imagined we’d end up when we set out, but at least we’re used to that. 1/2/06	Consider these our New Year’s Nudity Resolutions. Now these are a lot like regular New Year’s Resolutions, but they’re a lot more fun to keep. If you factor in Juli Ashton, Nikita, Vicca, and some (close, it seems) friends of theirs, you get one dandy equation that will hopefully keep y’all busy for the week we’ll be away in Las Vegas mingling, mixing, doing interviews and taking pictures … basically doing all the fun stuff Maverick doesn’t get to this year. If you have to struggle through these tedious work exercises, at least you should be able to taunt your friends about it. Hmm. That’s another fine New Year’s Resolution, come to think of it. 1/31/05	We don’t know quite how to describe Mav’s MEGA Report on Internext, the AEE, and the AVN Awards show except to say it’s BIG. It’s really, really BIG. There are well over 300 pictures and 7,000 words. Heck, we had to build the mother of all index pages, just to try to help people figure out where they are in the story when they come back to it. Let’s put it this way, from within the story and picture pages there are FORTY THREE individual links back to the index page. You’re going to need a lot of beer for this one, folks. Lots of pretty girls, though, and Lon becomes a Hip Hop artist. I guess if you’re really interested there are a lot of pictures of Juli Ashton, Kristal Summers, Paola Ray and Dee, and quite a few of Inari Vachs and Alicia Rhodes, surprisingly. Even more surprising are the pictures of Chasey Lain and the fact that Maverick was able to tell us every minute detail of his trip, except where he got the DVD that Christy Canyon asked him about. 1/27/05	Our own intimate version of “The Hall of Fame” shows up today, with a fascinating story of a guy that actually succeeded in our business … with his clothes ON. Weird. 1/24/05	Hey, we’re back on the set of Night Callswith D.Minion and (Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath, of course). As it turns out, The New Executives at Playboy TV decided that they should wait from August 25, 2005 until October 29, 2005 between episodes, and then wait another two months until December 31st for the next one. Allegedly there’s going to be another episode this Friday, so we’ll check with Juli for you. Basically today we’re just pointing out the apparent stupidity of Playboy TV executives sometimes. 1/13/05	“Seventy-Six trombones led the big parade,” as I understand it. So that means that today’s post is better than a big parade, as it has 77 more pictures of the 2004 KSEX Awards show, this time taken by Foreign Correspondent Maverick. Now we need to explain three things. 1. We’re making no attempt to draw any correlation between trombones and photographs of partying porn stars, rather leaving to future generations of literary students an attempt to try to decipher what deep and tortured reasonings led us to this strange juxtaposition. 2. A simple fact of corporate America rejoices in giving someone a grand-sounding title like “Foreign Correspondent” rather than actual money, and 3. No. We do not think it at all strange that a straight man might know a few show tunes. I can also cook, but I can’t sew … so there. Ready to move on now? 1/8/05	If you’re reading this, well then Praise the Digital Dieties. That means you’re looking at the new server like you’re supposed to be. By the way, really, really smart people wouldn’t have chosen the end of the year … over the holidays … right before the largest annual industry convention in Las Vegas … at the same time as moving a home and office … as the perfect time to change hosting and billing companies for the two biggest sites we operate. Nope. That’s certainly not what a really, really smart person would have done. That’s just what we did. 1/31/04	I read in a book today that someone turns 49 years old every 7½ seconds in the United States. In the process of putting together the 2004 Adult Entertainment Expo story, I was pretty sure I was going to be one of those people. The fact that this milestone happens some 5½ years from now did not disuade me from this thought. With the tallies all in we have 23 pages, somewhere over 10,154 words, 400+ pictures, and over 60 MB of video files added … today. Next time I ask for contributions from members on a story, will somebody please just shoot me? For now, this one’s in the database, and I’m making myself one serious Jack and Ginger … I also read in a book today, “There is only one boundary that limits a dreamer, and that is the boundary that he imposes on himself.” Around here, we might add … or herself …. 1/28/04	We know that Being with Juli Ashton was the last movie that Juli ever did for VCA. We also know that Georgia’s in town next week to sign her new Ninn Worx contract and talk about her new production line. We know that Dee’s on Night Calls Radio with Juli now, and we know that our good friend Juli has launched a new free site called HeyJuli.com. 1/27/04	Our good friends Julia Ann and Michael Raven scored big at the most recent AVN Awards show with Beautiful winning “Best Video Feature” and “Best Screenplay” for Wicked, “Best Actress” for Julia, and “Best Director” for Mr. Julia. Now we didn’t really have anything to do with the success of this production, but that’s never stopped us from writing a story about it anyway, and it’s not about to this time. 1/26/04	There are two major newspapers in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the way out to breakfast (one of our favorite weekend events) this past Saturday we picked up a copy of each, having granted ourselves a morning break from management, web sites, and home improvement. The headlines on one of them included, “Iraq Arms Inspector Resigns, Casts Doubt on Prewar Data;” “Kerry Showing Strength Across Board in N.H.;” “Bush Seeks 7% Boost in Military Spending;” and “U.N. to Send Team to Assess Elections in Iraq.” The other paper chose these titles to hook its readers into purchase: “Phil on Kobe: It’s Shaq’s team,” and “Kids lose their Captain Kangaroo.” We’re thinking this demonstrates a fundamental difference of approach to an arena, and when D.Minion covered Kristal on a fetish shoot, it brought the idea home. My father used to tell me regularly that, “It takes all kinds to make a world,” and like most things my father used to tell me, what he meant keeps getting clearer and clearer. 1/24/04	Who could have guessed that a nation-wide shortage of “2-Disk” DVD boxes could delay the anticipated release of Anais’ first big Feature production for Ninn Worx? Who could have guessed that mainstream films would finally catch on to the benefits of including a second disk with captivating special features and heretofore unseen insights, thereby causing the shortage? Who could have guessed that Lon would have been completely bummed out by this dastardly consequence? 1/16/04	We get emails all of the time asking us if the people that contribute to this site are “real” and if “the Members’ Parties really happen.” Well, we keep telling you that truth is stranger than fiction, and today we have yet another example. For some bizarre reason, Lon wanted to come to LA and work as an intern, so he could forget about no longer having any other work to do, and so we thought, “OK. Interns are free.” (We only said the first part out loud, however.) While most of the stuff was pretty boring, he did get a chance to try his hand at photographing one of Dee’s Cam Shows. 1/15/03	Sometimes one of the best things about being a member around here has to be that you can get news before anyone else does. Our business doesn’t hit the AP Wire very often, so mass dissemination sometimes fails in even the coolest of circumstances. Speaking of mass and semen, coincidentally, we’re giving you a little peek in advance of what we think history will prove to be a very successful movie, certainly the biggest ever starred in by a certain brand new player. She would be Anais, and the movie would be In the Garden of Shadows, and if you want to understand the religious and sexual references, well you’ll just have to check out the story. 1/31/03	We’re debuting two new regular features for the site, starting with the addition of our new “Ninn Worx Weekend” which will feature photo galleries from the latest and greatest of Michael Ninn each and every weekend. Then we’ve improved our presentation skills (finally) with the slide show code Craig’s been on us about. He may be wrong about Rich not being very nice, but we have to admit that the show feature actually adds a bit of pizzaz that we’ve been lacking. Turns out some people like to look at pictures with their hands free. Wonder what for … Oh, most importantly we got to make a groovy new icon, and that’s why y’all are members anyway, right? 1/28/03	As the folks around here are gearing up for the return of Night Calls Live next week, we thought we’d give you D.Minion’s account of the final show of last season, Night Calls, December 18th, 2002. You can tell by the date that this was their Christmas show, and looking at the pictures started to put us in the holiday spirit once again. Then we realized we just got the stupid lights down a couple of weeks ago, and we decided not to embrace the holiday spirit this quickly again. We decided, rather, to just look at, and read about, Juli and Tiffany (and all of their naked friends). 1/23/03	In an almost complete departure from anal pile driving, we have Playboy TV from a year and a half ago on tap today. It seems that back in October of 2001 Julia Ann granted The Bunny a favor and filled in for an absent Tera Patrick on Night Calls: 411. D.Minion dutifully accompanied her and wrote a fine account, even talking about anal, but not actually demonstrating it. Sometime thereafter we upgraded D.Minion’s hard drive at the office, and some of the files got dropped in the switch. When we put the old hard drive in a computer we’re building for Kristal, we found them. 1/22/03	To tell you the truth, even with a fairly large site, it’s rare for people to actually write in to the webmaster about anything, well, unless they’re complaining. Those of you that use the Message Boards or the Chatroom know that there are a lot more “views” than there are actual people posting or chatting. Maybe it’s just the nature of the genre; maybe people just like their anonymity. So when we posted the first photo galleries from Ninn Worx last week, we didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary. 1/20/03	It seemed like it was time to talk about Kristal and Inari, and so we are, in the flesh, so to speak. Actually D.Minion was on a set with them last summer for a movie called The Flesh Game from Ultimate Pictures, and she took 50 rather stunning, and occasionally personal-type pictures. Of course, that’s what she does for a living, giving us all just one more reason to be jealous of D.Minion’s job. One day we’ll actually get a picture of her too. 1/18/03	We’ve been deluged with sights and sounds from the convention, and last we checked D.Minion was on “Page Eight” of her review. We’ve decided not to ask anymore, and we’ve specifically ruled out murder and suicide as options for our web posting folks. You can’t be too careful, and DM occasionally has a lot to say. 1/14/03	It’s not the full-featured, action-packed, expose you might be waiting for. Rather it’s an aperitif, a sweet little taste, of the experiences of the Risqué troupe in Las Vegas. We attended the Internet convention, and then we attended the video convention, and, honestly, that’s really just a little bit boring to write about. However, we managed the enviable task of visiting with dozens of beautiful women, one of whom (That would be TJ Hart) decided to prance around the living room naked while she was waiting for everyone else to get ready to go to the convention. Just so we’re clear, if TJ decides to strip every time we’re late, it’s very likely we’ll never be on time again. You can understand why when you look at the pictures. 1/6/03	Everyone who knows her understands that Julia Ann actually is one class act. Then Wicked made a movie called Class Act, and now it’s all very confusing. We’d love to tell you that D.Minion clears everything up for us in this second, massive, post, right in a row. Notice, however, that we are not. There are 212 pictures here, and that means we’re even boiling in Farenheight (Mav). Look at it this way. If you look at 50 pictures a day, it will only take you eight days to cover the last two stories. After that, we’ll be back from Las Vegas.
