Wow. For the first time in a really long time a major religious celebration falls on Thanksgiving. Of course the fact that we had to call a friend in order to get the spelling correct for “Chanukah” might indicate that some of us failed the religious fervor standard this week. On the other hand, we do understand that this means at least a good percentage of the Brits will be celebrating with us today, and for some reason they don’t usually do that on Thanksgiving. Eight times as many people will get married today as one could normally expect, simply because of the whole 11-12-13 thing. This would make it easier to remember one’s anniversary, probably, but considering the divorce rate these dates, perhaps a countdown symmetry would seem more appropriate. Interestingly enough, no matter which way we count around here, we still come up with a bevy of sexually adventurous women. Over the years we have become friends with a lot of people honestly ahead of their time. You know what the world really needs more of if at all possible? As a rule, you won’t see much in the press about the men that perform in the adult movie industry. There could be a few reason for this, everything from envy to a complete lack of caring. Even for those of us working in Hollywood’s bastard stepchild of a business, other than in gay (male) porn, the men in porn exist first and foremost as “props” for the income-producing women. Jeanna Fine once gave me perhaps the best definition I have ever heard for male performers. She termed them simply, “life support systems for a penis.”
