| 1/2/26 |  If we can be totally honest with each other, we would have to admit that oftentimes in life when we get something that sounded truly wonderful, it turns out to be, well, not so great (to put it kindly). On the other hand, when we sort of accidentally get something we had no idea that we wanted, now that might fill a few decades of our lives with joy. Seeing as how this tends to be the time of year for retrospect, and everyone loves learning insider knowledge about things, we decided to combine the two with some Foundations of Risqué — video wall edition — along with our cleverly-named (obviously) Trois Réel observations. As for our own resolutions this year, we might finally have found one we can stick to. We decided not to have any more resolutions. The best life lessons are those that apply to a myriad of situations. Of course the very best always include a sentence something akin to, “Oh, yeah. I really, really like Ben & Jerry’s Karamel Sutra Core ice cream. That makes me very happy.” Sadly we all likely need more life lessons than that, so we do our best today to provide folks with a real-world example of how kindness pays dividends often years into the future. Of course not being kind may also pay dividends, but they may not be nearly so pleasant and most definitely not include Ben & Jerry’s Caramel anything. So y’all make your decisions accordingly.
What if you threw a party and everybody came? Literally. (OK, at least allegedly literally.) … Well, you would know one thing for sure and have a pretty good idea about another right off the bat. First, this would not be one of the completely fun, and we have no idea how anyone could even think about missing, Risqué Summerfests. (Full disclosure, we do tend to invite wildly famous actresses through their publicity departments, and not one has ever shown up. Yet we persevere.)
