On the other hand, when we sort of accidentally get something we had no idea that we wanted, now that might fill a few decades of our lives with joy. If one should suddenly decide that while continuing in their existing job, they would henceforth like to perform their duties naked, the response might be just a tad varied — depending upon how said person looks naked, perhaps. As with any job, not every day at work will be as wonderful as any other day at work. That said, even a less good day having sex probably beats having a less good day doing, say, cleaning Porta Potties for construction sites or something. (We can say this because one of us actually had that summer job for what — no surprise here — turned out to be a remarkably short period of time.) Many times when one does something out of principle it involves something not really joy-inducing — if not downright unpleasant. We learn from an early age (well, in theory) that sticking to our principles will become the foundation of a successful and happy life. One of the lesser-known ambitions in this business does not appear often, but it does happen.
