Of course depending upon your educational background, you might not recognize this moment, but you may trust us when we tell you that it exists. One of those moments might be — and we’re just picking a scenario at random here — when as a young porn star you end up back where you grew up at which point you run across people who knew you in high school. That can be a poetic — as compared to prosaic — moment to say the least. 7/27/26	Despite the controversy in general surrounding adult movies, they do have an educational aspect to some degree. Granted, trying a great many of things one can find on the tube sites at home may well get you yelled at, slapped, or potentially arrested — if not all three — couples or curious singles wanting to up their sexual game can indeed learn a few techniques given the right scene to watch. We particularly like it when teaching something was never the point at the time of shooting, but appreciating the skill level of one of the players shines through brightly. Finishing up our “real” lesbians examination provides just such an opportunity for those wishing to roll out a bit more cunning in their cunnilingus. While they might find examples of “objectified” certainly, they rather completely miss the fact that the women in our business completely run the show, which fact also pops that “abused” bubble — often loudly. We should all have a constitutional right to objectify ourselves, right? Does that not sort of hit that whole Free Speech thing right in the sweet spot (as it were, in this case)? Nowhere in the sex worker world may this fact be more obvious than with cam models, actually, a situation we continue contemplating with our Naked Chat story line today. Honestly the best argument for belief in life after death may be that given this philosophy, at least we can believe eventually all the bad people will get what’s coming to them. 7/6/26	In any situation we can tell you that if you want to succeed in the representation business, you really need to avoid having sex with your clients. Granted, that can be a pretty difficult line to draw when dealing with the kind of aggressive — not to mention completely not used to being turned down — women in this business, so if at all possible, you should try to have a real lesbian on staff who fluctuates between horny and really super horny. … Barring that, just know that if you need to tell a client she appears to be getting a bit flabby or putting on weight, this can be a very uncomfortable conversation to have. 7/4/26	We understand that there may be some confusion about the “official” celebration as we (in theory) all want to acknowledge that it’s pretty darned impressive to have held together a single form of government for 250 years. Sure, some folks may wonder if we can manage another 2.5 years, but those people clearly have no sense of adventure. We will try to offer solace in two ways as we all wait around for it to get dark so we can all watch a bunch of spectacular explosions. First, listen to the old folks around you and try not to panic. The 1960s were not all free love and barefoot hippies, and we survived that. More importantly, we have a fine distraction for you that works in the daylight hours, can be done inside in the air conditioning, and also invokes timeless appreciation regardless of political party. 7/30/10	Just for the record, if you ever get a new friend in Los Angeles, she should own a ranch in the hills. We happened to be at two such places over the last few days, one of them drinking margaritas, and one of them not drinking margaritas because we just had to bring by our donation for the Pet Rescue Center before getting the heck out of Dodge – because we didn’t want to be stuck late drinking margaritas again. When Pour Me Another Tequila Sheila starts sounding like one of the greatest songs ever written, you should really call it a night. 7/24/10	Did you know that déjà vu has an opposite partner called jamais vu? It means feeling like you’re seeing something that should be familiar for the very first time. Well, Felicity lends us her photographic talents today, and even after having been present on literally thousands of adult movie sets, we found ourselves amazed. People might be surprised to learn that a great many very talented people populate this industry, and not all of them work in front of the camera. 7/18/10	None of us here could find a definitive answer regarding how old a person has to be before they can become an existential, but it does seem like you should probably be older than your typical new porn star. Of course some would argue that women that choose making adult movies as a vocation must by definition hold at least some existential concepts dear, even if they don’t perceive them as such. Others would argue that expressing one’s sexuality openly and without shame indicates rather a strong moral compass and a dedication to individual empowerment. … Then there are those of us that would argue that there’s altogether too much arguing in life already, and so we should really just stop arguing and enjoy the unusual people, like Erica McLean and Megan (“not that one” ) Foxx, that populate the planet. … Also, everyone should have dogs. 7/14/10	Feast or Famine. That’s what they say, right? Well, whoever “they” happen to be, “they” certainly hit the nail on the head this time around. All of the sudden everybody here has so many independent projects going on that we actually have a temporary written sheet to help keep track of them all. And computer geeks don’t like writing; that’s a fact. Still according to the Aged Ones in charge writing is actually faster and more efficient sometimes. (Yeah, right.) On the other hand, the crush has given one of the newer team members a chance to do a little investigation of Dee, along with Kinzie Kenner and Yasmine Milan. How bad can that be? As a matter of fact, also according to the Aged Ones, if we let people play with Dee stories once in awhile, they don’t whine nearly as much about workload. Even computer geeks agree with that. 7/9/10	This has all the markings of an interesting few days coming up, as we’re headed into downtown to help Cytherea with her next web content shoot, and then we plan on visiting our first ever “Exxxotica Los Angeles” convention. Usually we go to “Erotica Los Angeles” which would obviously be a completely different gathering (as you can tell by the completely different name), but AVN decided not to have “Erotica” this year (not that they really told anyone or anything, but we’re not bitter). Then we’re going to be on set for a couple of days with Erica McLean where presumably we will learn that on occasion pigs do indeed fly. Cytherea has chimed in further to help everyone pass the time in our absence with a blast from her past we’ve entitled “A Cy and a Thigh High Sigh” – simply because we’re weird that way. And if you’re familiar with Cytherea at all, you understand completely that we use the term “blast” here in a literal sense. 3/30/10	We called this entry about Tenaya “The Heart of Talk and Stroll” — well — because we’re just weird that way. In addition, we will occasionally plug 80’s bands because — well — honestly we have no idea. We can’t figure that one out ourselves most of the time, but it presumably makes somewhat more sense than the Rodney Carrington references you’ll also find in these pages. Nonetheless, when you’re showing a bit of Tenaya’s spectacular private life, nobody’s really going to read the title anyway, chances are. 3/16/10	Recently it came to our attention that we do not say, “Oh, Bollocks!” nearly enough around the office. Consequently we have resolved to remedy this situation just as quickly as possible. (Technically we had to first resolve to have resolutions on days other than New Year’s, but why get bogged down in details really?) … And speaking of details, Maverick shares a great many of them today in his “Day 2 of the AEE” post on 247AdultStars. Sadly we didn’t actually find any “nonsense” or “rubbish” — which seems to be how dictionary.com defines “bollocks” for us — so we couldn’t use the term in the ever-pithy commentary on those posts from our leader. On the upside, the reference source did say that term often has a “vulgar” connotation, and that should be something we have no trouble working with around here. It’s good to have a plan. 3/6/10	You can find many good reasons to live in Los Angeles, but the colorful people have to be at least near the top of every list. In this economy most big cities will have scroungy-looking people on street corners looking for some money for some reason or another. However, in LA last week we saw a guy with a sign that said, “Need $4.01 for a soy latte.” … Across the street from this fellow was another chap with a sign that said, “Gulf War Veteran. Need a WIFE. Will accept cash.” … You gotta love LA. They could never put the “reality” here on television and have anyone believe it. Speaking of which, we give another dose of our “too strange for prime time” reality with an update on Penny Flame and some “Sanity” advice from Dee. Try wrapping your head around that one.
