11/29/25	Think of it as a diet plan that you will not mind at all. As with all diets, it may bring you into contact with situations atypical for what has been your everyday life, but most goals take a little bit of sacrifice in order to reach them, right? And since we’re not really talking about the foods you eat (or in what quantity) with our tossed salad musings, we figure you will probably survive unscathed. Heck, you might even feel a bit more adventurous going forward. Hey, people diet to feel better about themselves, so maybe we were closer than we thought with the analogy. That would be weird. 11/28/25	Directors take a lot of latitude with any kind of movie. Those attempting a parody in theory have a little tighter framework within which to work, though, seeing as how the original show(s) released long ago, presumably with some success or else the whole reason behind a parody sort of fails before it begins. That said, in the adult world directors have to make concessions to accuracy for very different reasons than those helming mainstream movies, since in regular movies stars can generally just pretend to like each other if they must. Sometimes a lack of intimacy can make things easier. Go figure. Sometimes a director will even drop in a sequence from an entirely different franchise in our world, for example. 11/26/25	Our British friend Maverick helps us finish off the Summer of Chantelle recap today, helpfully the day before the Americans among us rejoice in a holiday dedicated to eating too much and being able to wear sweat pants all day to assist in that effort. While it may seem odd to still be celebrating summer in late November, but honestly one of the joys of Southern California life comes from calling your dad on Christmas and saying that you are outside barefoot grilling steaks and burgers. We have a lot of summer here, but sadly not nearly enough of them feature Chantelle, honestly. Mav should be ok with this too, actually, because it was like 150 years after the first Thanksgiving that we created a holiday to celebrate not being British anymore. That’s gotta sting. 11/23/25	When you have a lot of things to be thankful for, you may need additional time to at least attempt not to forget things. Consequently, we have started our Thanksgiving thoughts a few days in advance this time around, as we attempt to blend memories from years ago with those from earlier today. Feel free to adopt this approach in your own lives, should it seem useful. We certainly do not mind. If nothing else, taking a couple of days to stretch out your stomach might even prove useful. Even if that theory ends up being scientifically unsound, we see nothing wrong with a bunch of different feasts. Around here we start with manicotti and fresh-baked ciabatta. 11/16/25	We have all heard the old joke about the guy who invented the perfect bra for women. 11/15/25	In this business, for some reason things always seem to move in cycles. You won’t visit a location for months, and then suddenly you find yourself called there three times in a week. 11/13/25	So it happens to be Sadie Hawkins Day we found out from one of our team that reads way too many of those “this day is a holiday too” calendars online. Then we find out that a couple of us actually remember when it was all but unheard of for females to ask out males when they had an interest. Then these clearly insane people tried to convince the rest of us that there was a time when women did not dare admit to sexual interest at all, and that made it all a step too far. Consequently, we decided to celebrate a model named Sadie Hawkins on this day as we practiced our subtle, yet not too obviously condescending, giggles. 11/10/25	Admittedly, nobody gets into the adult business because they hate being naked, have a take it or leave it attitude about sex, or face distinct discomfort with bodily fluids. Even within this pool (if you’ll pardon the expression in this instance), though, the amount of experience one brings to the set even before their first commercial scene can make a lot of difference in the ultimate success of an individual career. 11/7/25	One can be a “furry” without having any sexual aspect of the persona involved at all. Then again, a significant percentage of that group does seem to enjoy playing to that particular “cos” in the bedroom as well. We have never heard of a “birder” flitting over into the adult side of the passion, though, although even we get surprised by aspects of human sexuality now and again. OK. So you might consider that what they’re really trying to do may be to avoid the really, really bad publicity that will result when a player breaks his neck and suffers paralysis, but what does it matter really? That’s clearly a wonderful goal, regardless of how awkwardly the League has phrased its approach. It locked up completely, and no matter what our tech people (and everyone else we could find around) could do, the temperamental electronics just refused to play well with others. What you’ll see today comes from a recovery of the very tape in said camera at its petulant demise. (We still shot on DV tape then.) After repeated efforts, much pleading, even more cursing, and a whole lot of video gymnastics, we finally managed to capture the tape, but not at the normal quality we would generally enjoy. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on Syren’s solo scene, however, so we added a few filters, termed it “ism” (as one of our favourite American directors, Michael Ninn, likes to call “artistic style” ) and finally bring the scene to you. 10/14/10	Driving around the circuitous streets of Los Angeles yesterday we saw a license plate that read “2GR8M8TS” on a vehicle driving much too leisurely for its presence on the 101 Freeway, truth be told. Upon reflection back at the office, the more naive among us attributed a touching “romantic” notion to the sentiment, while the more cynically-inclined pointed out that the owner could well have simply been a well satisfied bigamist. As often happens around here, though, the incident served to point out that every coin of seeming good fortune has (at least) two sides – which (also as often happens around here) provided us with a dandy segue into a discussion of modern life as a porn star performer. Fortunately for all of you, it remains easy to skip all the economic philosophy set against a current events background and just look at the beautiful women performing in a technologically advancing environment. … If more people taught economics with naked ladies, you’d have probably paid more attention in college, right? Of course we’ve never been averse to taking full credit for an absolutely accidental stroke of good fortune. Come to think of it, that must be what Sean Michaels thought when Cytherea first approached him about “trading” a little good time between them. Never underestimate the value of serendipity. 10/7/10	Between all of the (some say vastly over-educated) people around here, we have a pretty good vocabulary en toto, as it were. (And, no, that doesn’t have anything to do with a small dog from Kansas.) That said, many times in life a 5 cent word can beat the heck out of one of those $10 ones. So with the official launch of CYTHEREA’S NEW MEMBERS’ SIDE today, and after much careful consideration, we came up with just such a perfect little word: WHEW! … Now that may not mean much to some of the less geeky out there, but if you consider the alterative approach that came in second place, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail,” … well, you can see why we just went with WHEW. Does anyone else find it odd that the some of the most “hopeful” philosophies of the Bible come from the book Lamentations? … Yeah, we know. That’s hardly the only ironic part. 10/5/10	We’ve been crunching so much code getting Cytherea’s new Blog designed to her standards that we almost forgot a very important birthday today. OK. So the odds of D.Minion forgetting this birthday are somewhat worse than her deciding to be a last-minute write-in gubernatorial candidate for the state of California, but she’d probably have as good a chance at success with the job as either of the other two already bitter people actually on the ballot. Still she did insist we “Celebrate with Juli” today, and she even enlisted some assistance from Dee. And Juli must be in the prime of life now, or at least her age is a prime number this year.
