Getting Intimate Exposures

risque imageAbout this time Ms. Chandler began the necessary paperwork that all porn stars must fill out on set, so I decided to wander around the property. One of the first things I noticed was that there was NO cell service at all. Holding my phone up the “cellular gods” didn’t help a bit. Neither did asking crew members with other cell providers. There was ZERO service. I started sweating, and I think I had the DTs, but luckily the powers-that-be had provided some land lines we could use! (After breathing into a paper bag and putting some change into the pay phone I felt fine! Although I didn’t actually need to use my phone. …) [Many of you may never have seen a pay phone. For the record, most of them don’t really look like this anymore, even if you can find one. This version came from a time when “Being Emo” meant “Feeling Groovy” and you had to spin you finger around in a circle to dial a number. Can you imagine?]

A tent with a cot covered with a zebra-print bedspread caught my eye, as did a cute Adobe building. (Well it was adorable from one side. On the other side were yucky porta-potties. Blech!) [They may be unpleasant, but consider the alternative of everyone using the nearest tree. You could hang the toilet paper on a branch, but still … . … On a much more appealing note, you can check out a BONUS featuring a slight enhancement of that wall taken on a previous visit.]

But I stopped in my tracks when I found a real-life water tower that looked like the one in the opening credits of Petticoat Junction! (Ah. A 1960’s TV sitcom. That’s something I really know about!) I could just imagine Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo skinny dipping in that tower! Or even better, swimming nude with my new best buddy Madison Chandler! [You have a lot of time to daydream on a movie set. Interestingly, D.Minion’s thoughts often turn to sexy 70’s sitcom stars. We’re not sure what that says about her, but we are certain we do not wish to know.]

A horse trough — minus horse or water — had me looking for a couple in need of Cialis. I couldn’t find them anywhere, and I knew that Madison’s partner for the day, Danny Mountain, does not require it at all! [Again, we do not wish to know why D.Minion’s thoughts turned this way. One does not really want every one of life’s questions answered.]

Back in the hacienda, I caught the tail end of Producer/Director Chris King interviewing the lovely Ms. Chandler. Then it was time for him to help Madison choose the perfect, sexy outfit to wear. (And to then quickly remove!) Because the scene had a Western theme, old-fashioned petticoats and lingerie spilled out of the makeshift closet. But Wardrobe-Person Chris re-imagined the costume as chaps, a duster, and a hot black hat. (Hmmm. Olivia Del Rio had an outfit very much like this in her scene with Eric Masterson in Lost Angels: Olivia Del Rio. Mmmm! One of my favorites! So I was especially looking forward to this incarnation!) [Ah! The opportunity for the ever-popular subtle catalogue plug. DM will be proud. She may well start thinking of Barbara Eden or Valerie Bertinelli, but she’ll be proud.]

Obviously none of those icons will go anywhere on this free side, but they do give you a sense of the … let’s go with threads … that can spawn from a D.Minion day on set. (She always gets irritated when we use words like chaos.) That said, the following adaptation of the movie cover will in fact send you off to their store so that you might purchase a DVD of your own — if you still do that sort of thing. Do tell them we say, “Howdy!” Nice folks over there at Adam & Eve.
