There just seems to be something nice about a holiday not yet overtaken by the greeting card — or worse now, eCard — industry. You just feel good getting out and planting a tree, or picking up trash, or whatever, giving a gift “outside” your circle and immediate family. Giving something to hundreds or thousands of people that you will never, ever meet simply seems good, and we all need something to feel good about these days. More realistically, if the pandemic forces us to change the date next year, we have a whole lot weightier problems than figuring out when we get our refunds back. So there’s that. To borrow a term from both economics and biological science, that will definitely qualify as an unmitigated bummer. Of course when one illustrates with Mia Malkova it does tend to distract from really dull concepts like amortization of fixed assets. Mia does, however, possess some excellent assets. We see exciting things on the horizon this weekend as the latest generation Mars Rover gets ready to get to work. What could possibly go wrong with targeting from 300 million miles away, after all? It takes some pretty big brains to master all of that, so we decided to “launch” the weekend with perfect landings by 
Apparently people get excited when you ask them to go back and remaster Reel Risqué video features since Flash Video unceremoniously flew the coop, stranding vast swaths of the web. 
The “commercial” scenes — a nomenclature used within the industry to identify parts in scripts where they anticipate actors to move into the biological imperative part of the performance — can suffer from a good deal of homogeneity as a rule. (And this happens even in straight movies.) Every so often in a series presentation, though, you can shake things up and have things not “end” as predictably as most heterosexual pairings in the explicit movie arena. Exceptions may prove the rule, but they can also make life a lot more fun. 
We have figured out how to make you rich. Next time we see a format war between giant corporations, we will tell you our definite favorite. Then you take all your money and invest it in the other company. Back when we first envisioned the Risqué Commune — and Whitney Houston’s version of I Will Always Love You was first topping the charts — we never, ever, ever, thought that Adobe Flash would lose its place as a video file “container” on the web. Yeah, so we were wrong — which always sucks, by the way. As of this year, browsers have put the kibosh on that wonderful tech, officially telling history, “Yeah, well screw you.” … Consequently, we have a couple decades back from mid 2018 to remaster up to “modern” standards, which will probably change again in 20 years, irritating us all over again. On the upside, 
If you can find a person who has not seen the classic movie Groundhog Day, then you should feel very happy. You can dramatically improve this person’s life simply by giving them $4 and sending them to Amazon or YouTube to watch the show. Feeling thus quite positive about your contribution to the common good, you may then consider D.Minion’s Groundhog Day fantasy, this quite naturally 
In theory we will be introducing to our lives today, a journey that we have set about because by the time we finish with this somewhat fictionalized version, we want life to be back to normal so we can go out for French toast on a quiet weekend morning. … Yeah, so we also want to win the Lottery without ever buying a ticket, so one could argue that we have been known to have a hitch or two in our fundamental strategies now and again. It turns out there may be some global medical situation impacting the core everyday lives of every human — at least the ones living in developed nations. Granted, the U.S. President obviously lives in a myriagon world (a polygon with 10,000 sides) because that would be the only way we can explain even being close to “turning a corner” on anything here in America. Politics aside, though, these extended times at home have made telephonic visits with old friends even more special. In our case we get to share more than many, which we decided to do today. Friends have birthdays every year — well, y’know hopefully — so when you start doing something both special and Risqué for them to celebrate this day, you will quickly find that you have started a tradition which will never end until you are really sad that it has. Aside from the philosophical implications of that situation, though, you had also best hope you have a lot of fun celebratory material, because you will need something new every single year. If you like to play dress-up and you like candy, you would love spending the month of October with D.Minion. True to her desired form, she has in fact dedicated the October of Costumes for the entire Risqué Commune, and thus you may anticipate many, many specifically adorned adults doing all sorts of adult things as we approach the Month of Thanks — which some of us spend being grateful all the costumes are over, truth be told. Of course this year you will likely not have small costumed characters wandering the streets begging for candy, so you might not technically need to buy any to give out. Not to make fun of a genius or anything but trying to make parting less painful by calling it “sweet sorrow” is like trying to ease the impact of amputation by calling it weight loss. Now this has nothing whatsoever to do with religion, or God, or even a preference for unleavened bread. In fact, we do not even know if any of the people from today’s Macbeth episode are Jewish. Nope. It has nothing to do with any of that. … You see, we just found out that Rosh Hashanah starts tonight, which — as we also found out — means that Jewish people are celebrating a New Year already. Since 2020 has colossally sucked on so many levels we cannot begin to enumerate them, we simply decided to convert. So that’s all there is to it. Right? (Oh! If you dig up a buried treasure, does it cease being treasure and become something mundane like really expensive cool stuff or some such? If you have really expensive cool stuff, actually, why would you bury it in the first place? How many of us carry around a spare shovel just in case we might need it during the day? And if you must bury your treasure, why does everyone always put a big ol’ “X” on the map so that everyone knows where the really expensive cool stuff can be found? If you put like a dachshund emoji or something, people might think you odd, but they probably would not be digging for all your valuables. … These are the sorts of thoughts that consume us here at Risqué, y’know while 
If you have ever had to read Stream of Consciousness and then try to explain its brilliance to someone, then you might have some understanding of what work orders before a long weekend can look like around here. If you happen to be one of those people who looks at modern art and cannot for the life of you figure out how one bunch of squiggly lines, or red squares, yellow dots, and blue triangles displays greater talent and keen insight into the human condition than any other, well, you should apply for a job here. You’ll fit right in.
