7/31/21	Giving an adult movie the title “Erotica” seems a bit like calling one of the Fast and the Furious franchise shows Car Chase. … That said, a slight possibility exists that movie producers in this industry do not have cleverness first and foremost on their minds during the movie naming process. In fact, they could be subtly indicating that a vast difference exists between copulation and love, between elegant expression and raw fornication. Still, we’re going with the first option in our Erotica Ruminations, because you will never hear the word “subtle” in describing many of these owners either. 7/30/21	We really do listen to members around here, which probably seems odd in this day of thousands of sites being run by only dozens of companies. On the other hand, we have hardly ever been what one might characterize as “typical” in any fashion. Consequently when enough people sent emails expressing an interest in an entirely new section serving as a Full Movies index, we built one. A few still lounge in the remastering queue, but we continue to work through that — as must be evidenced by the vast expansion of “New Stuff” over the past few month — so we announce this new functionality with a quick redo where Dee Designates Dasha followed by the complete reconstruction of Essentially Dee. 7/26/21	When we set out to do the Welcome to the Valley SERIES late last fall, we kind of figured that by the time we wrapped it up this summer, sanity would have returned to the country and things would have loosened up a bit in our everyday lives. We thought we could celebrate the conclusion. … Yeah, well, we should have finished three weeks ago, because we’re all headed down Insanity Trail again — or UP the COVID Contamination one, depending upon how you look at it. At least we have a lot of Sarah Blake Bonus on tap, and we do in fact finish with what they called the end of the series. Clearly some of those insanity trail aficionados worked for Nectar back then. 7/10/21	We have not paid nearly enough attention to Kristal Summers lately, so we decided to keep the remastering project going with an entire movie starring Kristal Summers. Even Nikki Fairchild and jessica drake had two scenes each, thus potentially claiming the star position. 2/28/14	Our Head Writer ends her trilogy we call “Oui the People at AEE 2014” today, although for now she has resisted a growing movement suggesting she change her name from “D.Minion” to “B.Moaning” after reading her assessment of the younger adults targeting in the annual AVN convention. Fittingly we conclude with one of those Could be Hall of Fame performers, risqué favorite Tori Black. 2/24/14	Well, the Winter Olympics have now concluded leaving behind a few ecstatic individuals and the entire U.S. Figure Skating and Men’s Hockey teams wondering what the heck just happened. Then we realized that the women actually kept the championship game very close, so that couldn’t have been the problem. We will say that as Part II of D.Minion’s Convention Überview, though, we make it pretty easy to forget all about the Bronco coaches. 2/10/14	Apparently some people take figure skating very seriously. So when you offer an innocent commentary on the current Olympic team, some people can get quite irritated, and claim we’re being mean. … Hey, it’s not our fault that one of them looks like she took her makeup clues from Tim Curry’s character in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and another one bears an eery resemblance to the human version of a hammerhead shark. They’re probably both kind, loving, wonderful people. 5/30/07	We can tell you for a fact that looking at a blank page (or these days a blank computer screen) and being faced with the task of filling it with pithy insights can be a daunting task. It doesn’t really matter if you’re 10 and in grade school, or 20 and in college, or … well … a bit older than that. The feelings of fright and inadequacy don’t ever really change. If you happen to be new in the office around here, though, you’ll fairly quickly discover that we basically don’t care. We try and try to tell new folks to just write the truth, just write what they feel, and the rest of us will work it in. All of that said, "Bijou Boudoir" makes her debut today, and in keeping with another of our general philosophies, that’s more than enough French for one day. Suddenly we’re thinking of soup though. 5/13/07	"It was chucking it down on Tyneside and the St. James’ Park pitch was slippery, so there were at least the odd hideously mistimed tackle and some handbags at ten paces, but that was as exciting as it got." … That’s a quote out of a detective story by Mark Billingham, and if you’re a murder mystery fan and have never read anything written by a modern writer from the U.K. you should put it on your list. You get sentences like this and although all of the words seem to be in English they surely do have a completely convoluted meaning, at least to us "Yanks." Actually the characters all seem to live with a rather pervasive despondency too, but that’s probably outside of where we’re going today. Rather we address another set of baffling decisions as we begin our look with D.Minion on the set of Fem: Staccato. We’re not positive any of this is quite cricket, come to think of it. 5/11/07	The best thing about "spring" cleaning has to be that occasionally some nifty things "fall" into your hands that you’d forgotten about. Now certainly "summer" better than others, but "winter" …. Well, honestly we lost it there. Winter just doesn’t seem to fit in anywhere, and since the (alleged) leader around here grew up in Colorado, he considers himself somewhat of an expert on the topic. Rather more to point we decided to take a look at Musa acuminata, but then we decided not to monkey around with that either. 5/7/07	Oddly, the first time many of you probably read the little notice below was YESTERDAY, which wasn’t exactly the intention. Somebody thought somebody put it on the server, and somebody else thought somebody different put it on the server, yada, yada, yada. The point being here, of course, that NOBODY checked. (We also had to explain the difference between "schlepping" and "schtupping" when we got back, if any of you did happen to notice that yesterday.) … Anyway they had some grand plans here, y’all, they really did. The first thing they were going to do was the D.Minion account from the entire shoot of Becoming Georgia Adair, Self Portrait – all 600 or so pictures – all taken back in the days before digital cameras got really good and using Photoshop to "improve" them was actually quite a bit of a challenge. And then they –"got stuck" – I think was the technical explanation I’ve heard most often. Well we’ll start with some good ol’ Dee at KSEX insights while we try to figure out what’s going on. You’ve all been on vacation, right? You know how long it takes for the stress at work to hit you after you get back from vacation? … Not very long. Sorry about that. 6/29/04	Somehow it seems fitting that one of our more colorful members can tie in a very human experience, wisdom from Juli Ashton, and a new way to look at Michael Ninn. One thing about Brother John, he’s not the type of person about whom people have no opinion. Basically, that pretty much sums up our life philosophy around here. My favorite uncle used to wear a baseball cap that said, “Let’s do something, even if it’s wrong.” After all, what if you died, and nobody noticed? 6/19/04	Wendy’s lingerie items have been earning some note lately, which makes a great deal of sense when you look at them. But as much as we like looking at pictures of Wendy in lingerie, it still doesn’t compare to actually seeing Wendy in person. Sadly, we’re not able to do that for this round of LA Erotica, but while the gang’s all roaming the room, compiling God knows what all, those of us not actually attending this year decided to remind everyone what a visually compelling couple Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson make. We found a D.Minion story validating the theory, and we found 75 pictures to go along with it. If you can’t go to the convention, this makes for a nice way to forget your misery. The Los Angeles Convention Center is big, but it’s not that big. Not everyone can attend, so we figure we’ll have lots of company in our misery. We love that. 6/16/04	I’ve been using “computers” since we stored data on cassette tapes. I remember when we thought a Ten Megabyte hard drive was just ridiculous. No one could ever use that much storage space. The “new” 3-1/4” floppies were almost as good as sliced bread. I know something about computers. But D.Minion can do things with electonics that baffle even folks a lot smarter than I am. She gets error messages that I’m pretty sure Microsoft just put in as a joke — knowing no one would really ever do what it would take to get that message. Why is this important? Because in today’s Night Calls Report, D.Minion has done some truly amazing things with her digital camera, although she claims she has no idea how. It doesn’t really matter, because Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath (and guests) look good, no matter how you look at them. 6/15/04	Those of you that have been looking for more Porno Manager Lessons, you’ll be quite happy today. 6/11/04	Becoming somewhat typical in her fashion, today D.Minion shows us a couple of completely unexplained photographs of cars in a parking lot, and one of what looks like an old hand-lettered piece of paper taped to an aging stainless steel wall. The other 67 pictures, however, are of Anais, Mia Smiles, and new Hungarian hunk Mario having a fine time completing Day Two of Inside Myself. All in all, then, it might be worth popping in and seeing what was up. 6/10/04	We added the nifty Georgia Adair technology, and now you can see a slide show replay of Kristal’s Cam Show from Monday. If you have a good connection, you can really see it well, in fact. 6/8/04	Have you ever been just beside yourself with anticipation? Well, in actuality that probably has very little to do with Inside Myself, which happens to be Anais’ next movie, just out from Ninn Worx. Still, probably some people really looked forward to it, and so we’ll stick with the intro. D.Minion was on her mark with the pictures this time around, although having Anais, Dee, Isabella, and Nikita Denise as subject matter probably didn’t hurt anything. In case you’re wondering, there are also dogs eating eggs, old mechanical equipment, motorcycles, wonderful architecture, and school-girl outfits. D.Minion died and went to Heaven. 6/7/04	You ever notice how things seem to go around in cycles? Here we hadn’t seen Lola in about a year, and then she shows up on Night Calls. And now, coincidentally, she reappears, this time playing with Kristal in D.Minion’s account of Not Another Porn Movie. Well, there will be a lot of Kristal today, but that’s OK. We do feel sorry for Maverick, however, as there are many, many pictures from which he will have to choose his new Message Board Icon. Come to think of it, maybe that serves him right.
6/4/04	Every time we try to get “official” with our handling of the web site by programming some functions to operate automatically, we get something wrong. We end up spending a lot of time and money, and then a stupid period or space or something is in the wrong place, and everything grinds to a halt. Consequently, many of you probably didn’t see the June 1st post (below), which was supposed to work in the fancy way, but everyone seems to have seen the June 2nd post — which we did the old fashioned way. Rather than dwell on our stupidity, however, we’ve decided to just ignore it and concentrate on Day Two of Angel Cassidy’s Sex, Money, Power shoot, which has not only a bit of Anais again, but also a whole bunch of Dee.
