2/28/14	Our Head Writer ends her trilogy we call “Oui the People at AEE 2014” today, although for now she has resisted a growing movement suggesting she change her name from “D.Minion” to “B.Moaning” after reading her assessment of the younger adults targeting in the annual AVN convention. Fittingly we conclude with one of those Could be Hall of Fame performers, risqué favorite Tori Black. 2/24/14	Well, the Winter Olympics have now concluded leaving behind a few ecstatic individuals and the entire U.S. Figure Skating and Men’s Hockey teams wondering what the heck just happened. Bronco fans know how they feel, and being the helpful sort, a few of them put together a consideration of this year’s Best New Starlet contenders, most of whom also know exactly how many of us feel right now. They look a heck of a lot better feeling that way than we do, though. 2/21/14	For a moment there we began to wonder if the leaders of the U.S. Olympic Women’s Hockey Team had been replaced by members of the Denver Broncos coaching staff. Then we realized that the women actually kept the championship game very close, so that couldn’t have been the problem. We will say that as Part II of D.Minion’s Convention Überview, though, we make it pretty easy to forget all about the Bronco coaches. 2/17/14	An old adage can be very helpful. If it does not exactly help you understand a situation more clearly, at least it gives you a quick way to hide your ignorance of accurate details. 2/14/14	Top vote-getters amongst the staff for most romantic song to play for a loved one today tied between Wind Beneath My Wings and I Will Always Love You, although we did have someone choose AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long, so there’s that. At least this goes to show that we maintain our unique way of looking at things, a stance evidenced by the first of D.Minion’s AEE reports. She calls the three-part series Gestalt Vault this time around, mostly because she did not find “Cryptic Triptych” nearly as funny as some of us did. Hey, we like Dolly Parton songs; clearly we can’t be trusted as any sort of barometer of normalcy. 2/10/14	Apparently some people take figure skating very seriously. So when you offer an innocent commentary on the current Olympic team, some people can get quite irritated, and claim we’re being mean. … Hey, it’s not our fault that one of them looks like she took her makeup clues from Tim Curry’s character in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and another one bears an eery resemblance to the human version of a hammerhead shark. They’re probably both kind, loving, wonderful people. But facts are facts, just like the hundredth of a second that can mean the difference between being remembered in the history books and being remembered only at your mom’s house. All in all, we decided Tiffany Mynx has a lot going for her, and she’s not in the least bit controversial. We will likely remember her for a very long time. 3/27/11	Supposedly we should always associate more importance with the journey rather than the destination. Understanding that, however, when you happen to be travelling to Cytherea’s house, “the journey” has a tough task ahead of itself if it presumes to actually secure its level of preeminent significance. While we can’t honestly say that the Honorable Journey turned out to be “better” than hanging out with Cy, it did completely entertain all the Geeks in the car. 3/23/11	As it turned out, today seems a rather odd day to be “Flying Under the Radar” as was our plan. We lost a Hollywood legend this morning, and odd as it seems we’ve often used Elizabeth Taylor as an example to risque clients that there certainly exists a way to be both sexy and classy. (Then we usually follow that comment by noting that you really don’t have to get married eight times just to enjoy sex with different people, but that’s sort of off-topic right now.) We’re sorry she’s gone around here, but she can still serve as a fine example of pure, strong, womanhood for some years to come we expect. Perhaps she even added to her aura in her later years. 3/12/11	Most of you probably haven’t spent much time looking at web traffic statistics, because, let’s face it: Why in the world would you want to do something as horribly geeky as that? Well, some of us around here actually enjoy that sort of thing, and sometimes we’ll notice just the oddest trends. Over the last couple of weeks, for example, we’ve been getting a lot of searches for Heather Vuur. (She was Vandeven. Then she was Vuur. Then she went back to Vandeven again. People and their names in this business … .) Now we wouldn’t consider it “odd” because people are interested in Heather, because that makes perfect sense to us, but considering what we may be able to talk about soon, today’s story of D.Minion’s first foray “Oh, Vuur” the hills to visit with Heather seemed to make a lot of sense, so we decided to sort of throw it in out of order here. You’ll find it much easier to browse through the 150 or so photos of Heather with our new system, and you might begin to give some thought to what we “may” be able to talk about soon. 3/11/11	Nary as mystical a thing exists for a typical male as a “Girls Night Out” – well, except a “Girls Night In” probably. Local fans have deluged us with a myriad of suggestions regarding potential locations for the shoot, which, considering it does happen to be Cytherea we’re talking about, seems quite logical in the scheme. Oddly, almost all of those ideas involve having Cytherea “visit” at the homes of the local fans. We figure they must all be very hopeful as regards the growing success of CythereasWetWorld.com. Honestly, she has an actual photo included – of the phrase, not the organic substance. 6/28/08	You know, when we called Maverick yesterday to joyously tell him about the new Kristal Summers post from his trip here, he said, “Hey! Remember that I was going to announce the new Kristal videos on 247 and I made you screen grabs for Carol so you could put that part on risqué and talk about it too?” … And then we said something like, “Oh, yeah. That’s right. … Um. … BYE.” (Sometimes the Brits just don’t seem to understand the whole joyous appreciation of life thing. Have you noticed?) … So anyway we might be putting up this Kristal solo in the wrong order, but it won’t matter much in the long run. 6/22/08	“Titillating” seems to be a reasonable goal around here, and sometimes we even manage to accomplish that without resorting to the obvious pun references the word implies. Theoretically we set out today to allow you members to see a much more visual distinction between the “Las” Vegas Adult Convention and the “Los” Angeles Adult Convention. D.Minion provides some highlights of the former while we wait for Lon on the latter. Now the LA part this year involved trips to (count ’em) three new restaurants, though, including one rather lavish buffet, albeit perhaps not up to Las Vegas standards. We will see. Those of you that have been around awhile will know how much Lon appreciates a good meal, and will consequently understand the labor-intensiveness of his current assignment. Then, as current events have a way of doing around here, more titillation has been ensuing, and we’re helpless to avoid its pull. At the very least, we entertain ourselves. 6/15/08	Sadly, as a result of the recent major earthquake, one of the giant pandas at the Wolong Research Center in China lost its life. As do people throughout the world the children of the land love the pandas, prompting one distraught youngster to question which fine animal passed away. “Who died, papa? Which one was it? Papa, papa, who?” … At least this was how one of the major networks here reported the news. Probably because of time constraints the network cut away before airing the father’s reply, but we’re pretty sure it went something along the lines of “Papa, papa who? Mao Mao.” (… And if you know how to pronounce the most famous leader of the People’s Republic of China to date, and know a little American popular music history, well, it won’t make that the most impressive joke you’ve ever heard, but it will help a lot with understanding it.) … Fortunately today we’re taking a video look at our old friend Cheyenne Silver, and we’re not even mentioning a thing about natural disasters anymore. Still, it’s good to remain at least somewhat aware of world events, and it is Father’s Day, so we had to at least mention dads out there. (Besides, they might know The Beach Boys in China.) 6/10/08	Well, we have to start somewhere, so we might as well start with the artistic angle, right? Or maybe we should start with the bizarre. That’s always fun. … Or we could show off some fancy Photoshop collages too; that would be nice, as would a custom video segment showing off the general weirdness of our existence. Those are always popular. … So that’s how we started bright and early this morning, and then we figured out that we’re in LA, and we just got back from Erotica LA …. And that pretty much ties together all these things. OK. So it’s not earth-shattering logic, but we’re really a lot better after a few cups of coffee. 6/5/08	Ah, but we love the BTS footage. We find it a wonderful way to really see not so much what movie sets are like (because even if you’ve never been on one you’ve probably seen enough clips on television to pretty much know what they’re like) but because this type of footage gives the most accurate capture of the moods of the actors and actresses at a precise moment in time. (And you’ve probably seen enough clips on television to know that those little moods are nothing if not volatile too.) As is his now tradition, Maverick has also put together some screen grabs for Carol, since she still can’t see video on the web, as most of you probably know even if you’re not a member. By our estimation, Mav’s either a very nice man, has a not-so-secret crush on Carol … or he just thinks it would be very handy to marry an American. … For today, color us cynical and entertained. Although we will also admit that we should probably care a lot more than we do, it turns out that when we see beautiful naked women performing for us, we don’t often think of their names first. We’ll work on it by continuing to look at beautiful naked women and trying to remember what we’re doing wrong. Consequently, suddenly he’s now got all kind of formats over there at 247AdultStars. Now you need to realize that he has the benefit of being able to share with us the first legitimate shower adventures of the delectable Cate Harrington, who apparently had a soiled “personal toy” because she decided it needed a shower too. 5/5/08	It’s “Cinco De Mayo” which technically means “the fifth of May” but apparently it’s a reason to celebrate. Now according to D.Minion it’s sort of a Mexican Independence Day, “but it really isn’t” … and that just goes to show that former teachers can be annoyingly precise. Still, it did seem a reason to celebrate some degree of multi-cultural happiness, not that we’ve ever really needed much of a reason to do that. Actually any reason to contact Lorraine Sisco (She’s German, you know.) pretty much works for us and we’re perfectly willing to admit that. Dang it. We hate it when that happens. To be more direct, we suppose, we could mention that we are literally “Building to a Crescendo” today, but you would only appreciate our dazzling wit were you actually a member and thus able to read today’s entry. Let’s face it: After DM shot down our approach we basically just decided to write enough to make it seem like we’re paying attention up here. You may be sensing a theme this time around.
