11/30/07	There has been a very long debate over the difference between Art and Pornography, and in our little world perhaps the best explanation we’ve ever heard came from Gloria Leonard quoting someone (she sort of forgot to mention exactly whom, as we recall) that “The difference between art and pornography is the lighting.” … Well, politics aside, that works for us, although some would probably consider us not the best barometer of the topic, since we clearly have no problem with either. … With that in mind, then we’ll offer up some of the new talent around the office here and their “artistic” interpretations of the female nude. And since the female happens to be Shayla LaVeaux we certainly have no problem with that either. 11/25/07	We apparently have some A.J. Bailey fans hanging around here, or perhaps they just really, really like libraries. Whatever the case they set us upon a trail to find a bit more … um … interactive exercise from the budding archival scientist. What with the odd inclination of some people NOT to watch American football on television, or better yet attend a game personally, it seemed like a pleasant diversion featuring A.J. and Hillary Scott might be a bit more up their alley – so to speak. 11/22/07	So we had to go to Arizona to get some materials on a story about London. … Hey, we keep telling you truth is stranger than fiction. … Anyway, we decided to employ a few of the images in our typically heartfelt, empathetic, and divinely warm holiday greeting. … That seemed reasonable, seeing as how the rest of the employees seem to think they deserve the day off. Instead of thinking of obtaining some foreign workers around here, though, we’ll just wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and blame all of the wackiness on D.Minion and Bijou being in a hurry to get to the food. 11/19/07	At any time in the day (these days) you’ll almost certainly be able to find a television announcer using the preface “At the end of the day …” for whatever pithy commentary they’re trying to espouse. Now we’re not sure when this happened; we’re not sure how it happened; we’re not even sure why it happened. We do think it’s interesting that no one seems to be much interested in “the beginning of the day” anymore – which probably just underscores the over-emphasis on results and not effort in modern society, at least it seems to us. … What have they done for us lately? … Right? … Toward that goal, then, we’ve decided not to wait on our “Fearless” (although most of us around here use “Frazzled” as the acceptable “F” term) Leader to continue the hopefully fascinating look at Women in Porn. Instead, we thought we’d look at a woman in porn, she being the Maverick discovery Suzie Best. In response to questioning, Maverick did indicate that he has BTS video with Ms. Best, and then we can wax philosophical anew. Until then we’ll just appreciate Suzie at the end of the day … or at the first of the day … or pretty much anytime we figure. 11/17/07	Hmm. Well we got distracted from our regularly scheduled discussion of the various types of women that decide to get into the porn business by … well … some of those types. We’ll explain more before we begin today, but we can say at the outset that Heather Vuur can be quite persuasive, and it’s not just because she happens to look wonderful naked. … OK. 11/11/07	We know you probably don’t have much time today, what with needing to get busy rooting for your favorite NFL team to either win (because you believe they can actually make it to the Super Bowl) or lose (because you’ve seen the Patriots play and you might as well line things up for next year’s draft now). Unfortunately for all of us that see the Big Picture and just wish to fold our hand for the year, all those folks that currently work for the team this year still want to have a job next year, and so they keep trying to win. … Creeps. … So we’ll appreciate a little half-time entertainment courtesy of Kristal Summers and Jassie, and we’ll lament all those people that confuse “what’s good for the team” with “what’s good for the team that still keeps paying me.” Something’s in the details, but maybe we don’t remember what correctly. 11/7/07	You know what happens when British Citizens fall in love? Well in A Fish Called Wanda John Cleese ended up with Jamie Lee Curtis, so this probably isn’t as good as that ending – probably. Still, when British Porno Citizens fall in love you get to see a whole lot more gratuitous nudity than you can with your basic Jamie Lee movie. Now we’re not entirely certain that this explains what has happened, but it’s as good a reason as we can figure for the all out Give it our (Suzie) Best season we seem to be entering. 11/5/07	Presumably when you think of “Ghetto” the word “Fabulous” isn’t the first thing that pops into your mind. Of course, you’re likely not looking at it through the eyes of Michael Ninn, and you’re probably not adequately taking in the references to Elvis Presley and Donny Osmond. It’s another one of those weird days with D.Minion on Set, can you tell? And of course there’s the very cleverly disguised BONUS material you can uncover today, as if the 160+ pictures and unique video moments weren’t enough. … OK. It’s really not all that cleverly disguised, since it’s basically a link that says “Bonus” on it, but you still have to look for it, and that will hopefully distract you from some of the anticipated oddness. 11/2/07	D.Minion has a dilemma that she needs your help with. For some reason (and this would be another one of those issues it’s best not to ask too many questions about) she almost religiously reads Diane Mott Davidson’s mystery series about a caterer in Boulder, Colorado that keeps finding herself in the middle of murder investigations. OK. So we pretty much consider these story lines credible to the same extent that we believe all of the stories in Penthouse Forum, but DM seems to like them – almost certainly because of the presence of more than a few canine characters in the tales. … Well, apparently in a recent novel, Ms. Davidson introduced a stray named “Latte” that apparently inexplicably disappeared in the following book. So if any of you have any idea how the stray happened to stray again and could let D.Minion know, she might be able to ease her psychic pain a bit. (Although don’t try making jokes about it just going out for coffee. We tried that. … About some things our fine Minion has very little sense of humor.) For our part we asked Nurse Kristal, and then she got completely out of the nurse costume during her Cam Show Video. … And then we forgot the question. Hey, it worked for us. 8/29/06	If all really is well that ends well, then this is well. And if you missed the first part of the “episode” yesterday, you can read the entire saga (and enjoy the full “bonus” we were discussing) today. As it turns out, Official People are very tired at 2:00 in the morning, whereas Annoying People are just more Annoying. We have learned a valuable lesson. 8/28/06	Hmm. Now this isn’t our best thing, that’s for sure. We’ve pretty much told it like it “is” on the inside here, but seeing as how these “New Stuff” posts end up on the free side at the end of every month, some people think we need to be more politically correct out here. And I thought we got into this business so we didn’t have to bother with pissant PC crap all the time (and that wasn’t really meant as a metaphor but it suits the mood just fine). Consequently you may consider this a nice, polite, and even fresh-smelling comment about what’s in store for today, but that’s about all we can say about it. This picture probably doesn’t help at all, but then why would it? The point of being “Politically Correct” is to obscure the point, right? 8/24/06	In the midst of all the chaos here (which pretty much could begin just about every paragraph we ever type, come to think of it) somehow, somebody (who may not work here much longer, come to think of that) discovered that we’d forgotten to put up D.Minion’s fawning coverage of Justine playing Audrey Hollander’s body double (or more accurately “out of body” double) on day one of the Catherine shoot. Then this somebody went so far as to mention it to D.Minion, who then proceeded to scream and yell and loudly complain about it. OK. D.Minion doesn’t really scream and yell, but those hurt little puppy eyes that she’s learned from the many dachshunds around here work even better. Consequently we quickly caved in our resolve to be done with the last big movie Michael shot until at least we finished talking about this latest big movie Michael shot, and so we’re righting our wrong today. 8/21/06	We figured it out. A picture is worth 1,000 words, and there are 30 pictures every second that run through a typical video moment (at least in the U.S., but let’s not overcomplicate here). Therefore D.Minion saved us over a half a million words in her Day Three post, although it may not seem like it once you’re done going through it. Oh, and this was just on the part she didn’t talk about at all. Go figure. One the upside, Day Three did include naked visions of not only the stars of Sacred Sin Heather Vuur and Jassie, but also some memorable visits from A.J. Bailey and Nevaeh. Then of course there’s the captivating scene where no one got to have sex with Dee, but we’re not bitter or anything. We are going to have to speak to the Director about this, though. 8/19/06	Perhaps “Art Theory” would best describe our timid foray into understanding the mind of Lorraine Sisco today. Actually the only words we’re completely sure of in that last sentence would be “timid” — at least upon reflections. You’ll pretty much have to judge for yourself the art vs. plain weirdness debate that could plague us (if only we cared much about it), but at least you’ll get to see some pretty darned interesting video from The Catalyst in the process. 8/17/06	So here’s the story … We happen to be talking to Lon about coming out to the Eddie Van Halen party at the end of September, and during the course of the conversation we happen to ask, “Hey, whatever happened to that Erotica LA story you said you were writing?” (We’re a lot more subtle sometimes, but not very often.) Anyway, Lon says, “I sent it to you a long time ago.” (What he left unsaid but implied was that we sometimes get a little busy and a “few” weeks go by without stories ever making actually onto the site, but we got the point.) “We never got it,” was the honest reply. “Well, I wondered why it never ran,” said a very patient Lon, “I’ll send it to you again.” (He’s nice and very helpful too, that Lon.) “Excellent!” we immediately reply, “Now we can stall some more before we have to do Day Three.” So while you won’t see 100-some-odd photos from D.Minion, you can see a bunch of porn stars hanging around a sex convention and hear about Lon and DM as a couple. 8/15/06	One of the really odd things we’ve noticed over the years is how much things seem to go in “spurts” in our business, if you’ll please pardon the pun. For example, sometimes you won’t go to a location for years, and then all of the sudden you’re there three times in a month. And sometimes you won’t have any wonderful pictures video on Dee (and Anais) for a long time, and then all the sudden everywhere you look it’s popping up, again pardon the pun. Well, this is NOT Day Three of DM’s Sacred story but that’s coming soon, and wouldn’t you know it, Dee’s on that day too. It’s a very good thing Dee’s easy on the “Ayes” … You don’t have to pardon that pun, as we did it on purpose. (You don’t have to like it though; it’s America, after all.) 8/9/06	It’s a couple of interesting tidbits with a peek into the magic and mechanics of filmmaking that we’re looking at today, but you’ll really have to read the story to see what specifically we’re talking about. Since this eventually ends up on the “free” side of the site, we can’t say too much about it where just anyone could read it some day. Suffice it to say that a wonderful collection of Dee as a nude talk show host on KSEX barely scratches the issue, and even on the free side we can point out that a naked Dee makes for a stellar beginning to just about any event we can think of. 6/29/06	We have a curiously brief report on Erotica LA today, possibly having something to do with D.Minion’s sudden (and almost unexplained) incapacity. Gee. We just can’t figure out what happened. But there are 60 pictures here, and some video clips of items seen at the show that almost uniformly have no practical application. Come to think of it, that pretty much defines our goal in life. 6/25/06	LA Erotica was actually a bit wackier this year than it has been historically, and we’re blaming D.Minion. That seems fair since she’s been hanging out with Lorraine Sisco altogether too much and has plastered us with 310 pictures, a secret mpeg, and 3000+ words covering the bizarre second day of Lorraine’s The Catalyst. These two women should quit hanging out so much together, and so we’ve decided just to tie DM to a chair in the office, or maybe to one at her house so she could commune with her cat. We’re definitely breaking her keyboard, so enjoy these Mega-Epics while you can. Some day we’ll look back on this and laugh … She swears. 6/20/06	It’s a bit of nostalgia, with stories of a young Devinn Lane, and it’s a bit of awe, as we look at all the Wicked Pictures can do with a DVD release, and it’s more than a bit of the shamelessness that makes us loveable that we’re offering today. Well, maybe we’re not loveable, per se, but that’s really the only word we could think of on the spur of the moment, and we didn’t want to delay you any further from D.Minion’s review of Wicked’s Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre. 6/19/06	Well don’t everyone fall off of their chairs or anything, but we’re back again. The new system seems to be working remarkably well (although we’ll almost certainly regret saying that). We’re going with just a typical little D.Minion story today, this being her “pre-production observations” of Sacred Sin. We looked at the entire story in Word and learned, much to our dismay, that the entire discourse covers some 10,027 words. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, our immediate suggestion was to just give y’all a dozen pictures and let you keep the change. D.Minion’s look was not one of adoration at this suggestion, however. So we’re breaking it up, and we promise to get through it all – if for no other reason than everyone here is pretty much afraid of D.Minion. Women in their 40’s get a little scary you know … . 6/18/06	This isn’t so much a “let’s see if this works” kind of thing as it is a “OK. Fine. We’ve been promising you we’d do this since the Dark Ages (translation: Before Sacred Sin), so now we’re finally doing it.” sort of thing. That said, we still ended up with a rather intimate portrayal of a Fine English Lass named Faye, courtesy of our friend Maverick. Granted, Mav sometimes forgets to focus, and he never once looked into the background of the shot, but considering what Faye was doing and what she was (or was not) wearing, we can kind of understand the scattered approach. For an evolved amateur, Maverick seems to be catching on just fine. He even included a couple of variations on a video theme that we’re just going to stop talking about now, and for the record, we’re just going to assume he’s not the “P” in “POV” … . 6/17/09	Experimentations and Confirmations continue as we struggle desperately to find something to serve the dual purpose of being interesting for you, and giving us a chance to stretch the limits of our server capabilities. The first video footage of Michael Ninn’s big movie for 2007 and the first explicit images of New Ninn Contract Star Heather Vuur seemed like they might suffice. 6/17/06	Those of you that have been members for awhile will recognize the “Gee, we tried to automate the mechanics here, and we’re just sufficiently weird in the way we approach the web that even really smart web people can’t figure out how to fit us into any sort of automatic database system.” Ah, well. Quite honestly this isn’t the first area in life where we’ve continued to learn that we just don’t fit in all that well. … So we’re back to the old “do it by hand” method, and we’ve got to run through the variety of different types of posts that we do in order to be sure everything’s back to normal — well, normal to us. You can start today to see if things Clique for you as they have for many people (judging from sales of the title), and we’ll move along to the next “hand-crafted” category. You know, if you find yourself in this sort of situation in your own lives, you might just start considering yourself an “artisan” like we’ve decided to do; it beats the heck out of the “Gawd, I’m a dinosaur.” sort of philosophy.
