3/29/08	And now for something completely different. … OK. So those of you that have been members for some time probably realize that one could use that particular sentence referring to just about anything we’ve ever done around here. But we did make a conscious effort this time. After our last “topless girls pretending to wrestle” effort, we decided we should do something as far away from that “fluff” as possible. It didn’t take very long for someone to say, “Well, D.Minion on any of the Neo_ sets would fit that bill perfectly.” We decided this to be perfectly true, and so we’re heading into this particular “matrix” with DM on the set of Neo_Pornographia 4 – because why in the world would we start with number one, after all? Oh, and the person that came up with this idea has now received a very public “Thank You” for the suggestion, which turns out to be a lot cheaper than giving them an actual raise in salary. 2/17/07	We’ve got another big trip down to LA planned, because Michael has decided that it’s a grand idea to shoot eight days in a row … because Michael is completely insane. That said, we figured we’d tag along anyway because odds are good that there’s going to be at least a few very interesting young women to talk to, and the fact that they’re likely to be scantily clad really doesn’t enter into the equation at all. OK. It might, but we were never very big fans of equations in general, so we plan on doing as little math as possible while we enjoy the ambiance. For your part, you can finally read about Redish’s big day with an also scantily clad Kristal Summers, and you can once again remind yourself about the value of genetics as you consider Anais. All in all, if this doesn’t keep you busy until we get back next weekend, then you can try solving equations for three variables or something, but don’t ask us for help. 2/1/07	According to the take-out packaging at the local’s Wendy’s restaurant, a “Zedonk” is a cross between a male zebra and a female donkey. Implied in this description must be the logical assumption that a female zebra would kick the begeezus out of a male donkey if he tried to mount her. Now we don’t know what exactly Lon’s beginning of the AEE would be a cross between, and we’re pretty sure the one thing it doesn’t have is implied logical reasons buried in it. But it does represent a rather wacky example of our lives, and we get to see Dee naked for a bit, and that’s always nice. You have to consider that we may not be the best judges of things around here, though, as we thought “Zedonk” was the sound your rotweiller makes when the car it’s been chasing for months finally decides to stop in the road. I was sitting outside a little sandwich shop yesterday and a guy walked down the street in one of those t-shirts that have obviously been washed about 500 times – you know the “favorite shirt” kind of washing? The shirt said, “If we are what we eat, then I’m going to be you in the morning.” THAT’S how you know you’re in Los Angeles. Now you might want to decide if you’d rather spend a few days in LA, or (finally) peruse D.Minon’s account of the 2006 AEE. They should both take about the same amount of time, we’re betting, but the DM insights will still be cheaper, so they have that going for them. 2/21/06	We’ve got a Big Time Stall going on around here today, but that doesn’t matter as much because we’ve also got the luscious Sarah Blake to help us fill our time. We’ve often said that we lead a very strange life, but it may be that strangeness has no bounds around us. A graduating high school senior (Yes, he’s 18, D.Minon.) casually asked me at lunch if I knew anything about Porn Stars. It seems his final paper has to do with “Women Enslaved by Pornography.” And the only thing this kid knows about me is that I’m friends with his dad. I expect I’d better ask Dad how much I can tell the young inquiring mind. As it turns out, I probably do know something about this subject. The rest of you should probably just enjoy Sarah. 6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best.
