9/13/11	Gloom has befallen fully half of the NFL fans as of very late last night, or very early this morning, depending upon where you call home. The other half of the fans, as one might expect, find themselves rejuvenated, thoughts of evil union disputes pushed far into the ancient history parts of there minds. … Then there are the other people who have somehow managed to avoid the clutches of American Football Frenzy and find accounts of lesbian sexual interaction far more appealing. 9/10/11	As it turns out, no one was keeping the home fires burning during our recent trip to cover Adam & Eve’s Dallas — experience. 7/22/11	Many types of people end up in the “adult business” although many of them seem quite unwilling to accept it, or at least acknowledge it publicly. 7/16/11	You just know you’ve made it as a major society in the History of the World when road construction in one of your major cities makes the international news. Either that, or you know it has been an amazingly slow news day. The CyCAM makes its episodic debut today, and while potentially as noteworthy as shutting down the major North/South interstate in Los Angeles, it probably won’t make the television news anywhere. 7/4/11	We attended a workshop at a conference once where the speaker began his talk by saying, “We only walk by continually beginning to fall forward.” While we can’t really speak to the relevance for that specific workshop to what followed in our professional careers, since none of us can even remember which one it was – or even what city we were in when we heard it – we have employed the sentiment on occasion. For example, we can see how the theory applies to the freedoms celebrated in America on July 4^th, even if many of us face $2,000 fines should we seek to create our own Rocket’s Red Glare instead of simply enjoying those of the government-sponsored variety. Perhaps most of all, however, Freedom (with a capital “F” don’t you know) allows us to voice introspection and illustrate our points with beautiful naked women. All in all that does seem safer than potentially blowing off your hand or burning the town down. 4/28/11	You know what colloquialisms are we assume? OK. So most of us have at least heard the word, and we probably have some vague idea of the meaning, although that may or may not be true. 4/21/11	Just in case you’re ever curious, you should know that the only people that ever win in a lawsuit are the lawyers. Legal fights beat you up financially, emotionally, and depending upon how long they drag on, even spiritually. They’re not fun. Sadly, however, they are sometimes necessary. As we understand it, you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything. All in all, the only thing you really learn from lawsuits boils down to an addition to your list of people with whom you never want to have to see ever again in your life. Sometimes the lawyers don’t end up being first on that list, but they always make the list for sure. Even for attorneys, though, all good things must come to an end, and eventually even the most acrimonious of disputes reaches some form of resolution. Today would be such a day. … Whew. 4/18/19	Most of us would agree that only a few things in life can annoy us as much as paying taxes. When theory crashes into personal reality, however, you can almost hear a universal whining. If you don’t believe that just listen to the richest 10% of the people in the country bellow and start talking about the President’s citizenship every time he dares suggest they should probably try to contribute a little more to help the country get out of its economic mess – that he didn’t create, by the way, but let’s not get too bogged down in politics. … In that non-political spirit we’re dishing up our own risque brand of tax relief today. 4/12/11	We would love to say that we spend hours and hours thinking up clever titles for our ever-so-insightful commentary on the risque commune sites, but that wouldn’t technically be true. Generally someone just pops off with something, the others laugh, and that’s what we go with. Sometimes, though, a couple of very good ideas get thrown into the mix, and then we have a debate, granted about the silliest of things. (That’s what Americans do, as any analysis of professional sports or politics will clearly illustrate.) Today we had “Sheen without Luster” as well as “Sheen and Lust Her” as options that we just couldn’t reach consensus on. D.Minion said she’d decide, since it was her story, after all. … Naturally D.Minion picked a third title. … It’s good to be Queen. We’re not so sure about being a Goddess, however. 4/6/11	Back before he started making sausage, Jimmy Dean recorded a song with a chorus that began, “I won’t go huntin’ with you, Jake, but I’ll go chasin’ women.” Most of you will probably be glad to hear that this does not happen to be the song in which you can find Shayla naked in the music video. 9/30/10	You know how many modern cars have CD changers built into them these days, and most of those devices have six “slots” into which you may insert your various personal music selections? … Right. … So in one particular car this week we found the following options available to us: Mötly Crüe, Bobby Darin, Aretha Franklin, Ringo Starr, Human League, and The Black Crowes. Now you might expect someone with such diverse, and potentially eclectic (Let’s be honest.), music tastes to carry these “unusual” predilictions into her everyday day life, and Shayla LaVeaux certainly doesn’t disappoint today as she gives it “Ye Olde College Try” for our entertainment. 9/27/10	What if you make moccasins out of a water moccasin? Is that redundant? Well while our (significantly less than, truth be told) Illustrious Leader was off contemplating important issues such as this over the weekend, those less philosophically inclined were left behind to launch the proper celebration of Dear Maverick’s Birthday (as you can see below, actually). When His Pickiness returned, it seems that there were some very slight – hardly worth mentioning, really – variances between what happened and what was supposed to happen. Gee. Some people have no sense of humor about some things, like spending hours and hours working on a new video display method that we sort of … well … forgot. And then there was something about a whole bunch of pictures that sort of slipped through the cracks too. Oops. … Hey, if we didn’t have to spend so much time pondering the appropriate animal skins with which to make comfortable footwear, we’d have probably remembered. It’s better now, though. Whew. 9/25/10	Birthdays generally fall in the “happy occasion” category for most of us, and when Maverick has one we get to share his gift with everyone. It seems Mav has a thing for blondes with large breasts, but we’re thinking that he may have plenty of friends out there that understand this fascination, even if they don’t share the level of his enthusiasm. 9/19/10	Apparently after yesterday’s editorial comments regarding beer consumption and professional duties, Maverick felt a need to define (and a little bit defend) a few British traditions. Now the “point – counterpoint” approach works fairly well in conversation, but in a written environment, when you don’t get to include the final words … well … not so much. On the upside (even for the U.K. folks out there), Georgia Adair illustrates today, so everyone can pretty much ignore the “weird” as Mav puts it. There’s a saying about a pot and a kettle, right? 9/18/10	Peeking at partying porn stars makes for a decidedly happy day, and Maverick has once again provided us just such an opportunity. Now we can’t say with certainty that the fact that these happen to be U.K. porn stars makes it even more fun, but it sure seems to. A men’s magazine would say simply: “How Do You Get What You Really Want in Bed? Pay for It.” … See? … Sometimes perspective can make all the difference, and if D.Minion’s coverage of Exxxotica LA this summer teaches us nothing else, it should teach us that. On the other hand, any excuse for scantily-clad ladies always makes us happy – even the overly complicated women around here. 9/10/10	We’re bringing in a little Brando today. OK. So technically we’re just bringing in the name, but we use it in the context of a really famous movie. Honestly, though, the movie actually sprung from an even more famous book, at least if you’re the type of person who reads. And if you’re not the type of person who reads, well, we’re not sure what you’re doing here quite honestly, but welcome anyway. 9/8/10	Continuing our traditional celebration of really funny t-shirts, we saw one at a ridiculously fancy store in L.A. this week that said, “It’s not all about winning or losing. Well, OK. Yeah, it is.” Of course a philosophy such as this comes fairly easily in a retail establishment where some of the shoes cost more than the first car most of us had growing up. Speaking of growing up, apparently those short-legged pants have made a comeback – or maybe they never left. We tried to get the details but oddly enough the sales people at the fancy place didn’t seem all that interested in providing fashion history to someone wearing a 20-yr-old Denver Broncos t-shirt. Go figure. … And what does all of this have to do with Capri Anderson? … Thankfully very little. 9/2/10	No one can be quite certain why all of the sudden quotes from The Great Gatsby keep coming across the posting desk, but apparently someone has started college again and has found themselves in an American Lit class. That said, the following does indeed have some bearing on today’s introspection, albeit more in the addendum than in the information proper. “Americans, while occasionally willing to be serfs, have always been obstinate about being peasantry.” … And if you don’t understand (or don’t care) about the expatriate Mr. Fitzgerald, well, just look at the conclusion of the Cytherea having fun being a voyeur story.
