Chantelle Fox

Very High Rollers

They took our picture on the way in, with the intention of selling it back to us on the way out, which, of course, they did. [Honestly later that night in the suite, we were most impressed with how Lon, Chantelle, and Maverick were able to pose EXACTLY the same way in three different locations. They should all be actors.]

The cabins on the wheel are built to hold twenty people. We had a family in ours, so we could not take as interesting pictures of Chantelle as we would have liked. [Sure you could have. Where the hell could they have run? … What do you think causes families in the first place?] I took few pictures because I could not figure out how to turn off the flash on my camera and we were surrounded by reflective glass. [Note to all of you budding porn convention journalists out there: Learn to use you equipment before the pretty girl gets in front of your camera. As you might imagine, porn stars tend to be fairly particular about proper equipment usage.]

Chantelle — Overlooking High Rollers

The wheel is located across the strip from Caesar’s Palace. As soon as we were high enough to see over the Flamingo, we pointed out the theatre building where Chantelle and Mav were to have seen Absinthe. Lucky had purchased tickets for them but they missed it because Chantelle ran afoul of the combination of jet-lag and elbow bending. [Well, technically she didn’t run afoul of it so much as she made it her best friend and took it back to her room for a 12-hour nap.]

The 550 foot tall wheel takes a half hour to make a revolution. From the top we could not only see the Strip, but the lights of the entire valley. I guess it is because we are allowed darker window tints than anywhere else, but even in the residential neighborhoods the lights shine brighter than anywhere else. Paris is called the “City of Light,” but that dates back to gas lights in the 1860’s. Chantelle’s reaction was to wonder about the electric bill. [My personal reaction differs still. I spent an entire week with Chantelle, and I never once thought about Paris in the 1860’s. Huh. … I wonder why Lon did.]
