4/30/09	Both Tenured and Interned types assisted in today’s trials and tribulations in the Tempering of Tenaya. Watching young talent develop can of course be one of the most entertaining aspects for members here, and if you’ve seen any of our other Tenaya posts over the last couple of months, you can testify to that. This time around you’ll get to peek in on some of the initial “lessons” that Tenaya undertook, and if you pay close attention, you’ll even see some tidbits of editor attitude popping up now and again. 4/25/09	The NFL Draft finally airs today on ESPN so we can finally stop talking about what some team might do given a list of potential decisions regarding several possible courses of action. Maybe. 3/27/09	Aren’t they peculiar, the turns life often makes? Somehow, and against odds no actually knowledgeable person could have taken, we have found ourselves once again mentoring an adult production company. This time, though, it happens to be a brand new one, which makes the challenge unique, and that’s always fun. If we do a reasonable job, you may well be hearing about Night Moods Productions — hopefully in a positive way, come to think of it. On the upside, we do find ourselves consistent with our most dear philosophy as we approach life’s peculiar turns: At the very least we should try and accomplish new and different mistakes. 3/22/09	Our Newbie completes his task this weekend, as we wrap up the Uncle Gibby tribute to the 2009 AEE. We love our guest editorials, but the writers don’t honestly get much in the way of what most people would call “salary” — probably. Of course, we’ve never been overly concerned with what “most people” would do. As it turns out, that’s a very good thing around here. We’d spend most of our time being depressed. 3/21/09	The Vernal Equinox visits us again, reminding us of freshness, hope, and rebirth. Consequently we thought about Phoenix. … What can we say? We’re clever that way. 3/17/09	It seemed we should celebrate one of the few global holidays that don’t involve giving gifts, since that’s a tiny group. Consequently, Maverick finished up his Day Two of the AEE ’09, providing at least what may pass for edification in the process. We’re not sure about that, but we will tell you what we’ve learned about St. Patrick’s Day around here: You don’t technically need green beer; if you have enough of it, pretty much everybody at the party will be green. 3/15/09	Because of the weirdness of yesterday we didn’t actually get to the “bitty bonus” with Dee as soon as we wanted to. That said, there’s never really a bad time for Dee, and we did promise to keep plodding through her KSEX backlog. (OK, so we promise that every time she brings it up, but we always really mean it.) Also, we were obligated to make a couple of instructional additions to the new Message Board system, and we got a chance to blame Maverick for some more things. … All in all, this worked out as a fine addendum. 3/14/09	So we had perfectly wonderful news yesterday, cleverly coinciding with a rare second Friday the 13th in consecutive months. You see, THE MESSAGE BOARD IS BACK! Naturally this means that members can once again correspond with our favorite females directly, and that pretty much makes everybody happy. … Then we learned that a little bit of knowledge can still be a dangerous thing as D.Minion pulled rank a bit and “offered” her consultation services to the post. 3/11/09	Another Michael Ninn shoot is in the can, and at least one judge even says Michael has the right to use that name. A bit overcome with glee, though, we found ourselves in the midst of an unusually long movie trek over the last few days. On the upside that meant we had to spend an unusually long time on the set with Monique Alexander and Jenna Haze, though, so it was pretty hard to complain. Of course none of this has much to do with Uncle Gibby’s expose on Days Two and Three of the AEE, but it does give us more to look forward to, right? Oh, and because Dear Maverick decided that an autograph from Monique wasn’t worth waiting in line for, Tori Black has decided she’s going to “kick his butt” next year. 3/6/09	Our new friend Titillating Tenaya trots before us again today. … OK. 3/4/09	Apparently modern technology allows a humble young man in Wisconsin to fire a shot clear over the Atlantic Ocean and get the attention of a similarly humble man over in London, England. Wow. How cool is that? … Maverick read Uncle Gibby’s Day One of the 2009 AEE post, and immediately began his serious efforts at getting up the 247AdultStars version of the events. For our part we get to see them both, naturally, as we pretty much use any excuse we can to get it up. (As it were.) 3/1/09	Back when he first started 247AdultStars.com Maverick began by working closely with an English performer named KazB. In fact, they worked so closely together that Mav even created an entire section in 247 called “Kaz Picks” where Kaz did exactly that. 2/28/09	Well, we did warn you that the 2009 Adult Entertainment Expo reports were about upon us, so at least we’re not hitting you completely out of the blue here. That said, Uncle Gibby has thoughtfully begun to burst the dam with only a trickle from Day One today. He had grander plans, truth be told, but as it turns out creating projects for your friends and creating projects for web publication happen to be completely different animals. As does our old buddy Georgia Adair, though, Gibby does hail from the often bitterly cold state of Wisconsin, and we can tell you that the “frozen brain” syndrome at least comes up in the conversation when you’re enquiring about rationale, née excuse, in these sorts of situations. Still, he has a fine sense of adventure (or else he would have run from the rest of us screaming in terror, like most sane people do) and he has an excellent serendipitous flair when it comes to providing opportunity for a dazzling intermission. After seeing his words in print here, you should know, odds are good that Gibby will then set about wondering why he couldn’t accidentally get this beautiful women in his home instead of finding himself watching her from it. Yeah, we’ve all felt that on occasion around here; we consider it just one of the oddities of porn life. Cheer up, Gibby. It could be worse: You could live in London. 1/23/09	Because we have a half-dozen stories about the AEE in the queue, Maverick felt it appropriate to submit a story about Erotica 2008 in London. On the other hand, Maverick could just be bragging that performers in London can be topless at their conventions, which we’ll grudgingly admit does give England one up on us in this specific instance. 1/20/09	So almost all of us, on this inauguration day, are doing our darndest to honestly believe, "Yes. We. Can." … And, of course, St. Louis Rams fans are trying to come to grips with the fact that the quarterback they dumped for being too old has taken a different team to the Super Bowl this year. Thus we felt obligated to at least mention recent NFL news, and then completely ignore political current events. (Because that’s how we are.) We do have some atypical views of the recent AEE show decorations, and some perhaps not atypical exactly, but certainly entertaining, adult video activity. While the rest of you are enjoying these options, we will offer a bit of solace to the Rams fans out there: Come next April, you’ll get a lot better draft choice than those poor folks employing Mr. Warner. 1/12/09	As many of you probably know already, D.Minion chose to lie around eating bon-bons while watching old Beverly Hillbillies episodes while the rest of us headed off to Las Vegas for days and days of grueling exchanges with scantily-clad porn stars. (Alright, that’s not really the reason DM didn’t go with us this year, but it made for a dandy visual, didn’t it?) … Well, we happened to run in to our old friend Vicca in a casino while we were there, and it seemed a fine opportunity to call up Ms. Minion and say something subtle like, "Hey, do you think you might be able to pull some archived Vicca content we haven’t used while you’re busy letting your nails dry?" (Alright (again), while we did actually say that, we remain too stunned by DM’s response to repeat it here.) … D.Minion did uncover some wonderful new photo sets for everyone though, and, just for the record, we’re pretty sure some of those suggestions she had do in fact constitute biological impossibilities, no matter how colorful the descriptions. By the way, we did ask Vicca if she wanted to go to the convention and attend the AVN Awards show with us for old times’ sake. She said, "Um. No, thank you." And then she laughed for altogether too long a period of time it seemed to us. … At least it sounds much nicer being turned down with a Russian accent. We miss Vicca, even if she can be mean … . 1/7/09	Well it’s been rather hectic getting ready for this year’s convention, since D.Minion won’t be able to attend this time around. Turns out she does a lot of work at these gatherings, which means Maverick, and Lon, and SteveD have a lot of slack to pick up. Anxious to assume their new roles, Mav and Lon are already in Las Vegas, but Mav took time to show off his interview techniques via a topless trip with Kristal Summers. We were going to point out the irony of using D.Minion’s interview as Mav sets out to show his own skills in the area, but as far as we can tell, irony gets wasted on the Brits.
