| 4/24/20 |  Considering the haze the entire world sits under now, it seemed like an homage to a classic thriller with “Misty” in the title would be an excellent path to begin wandering down today. Granted, the intent would likely have been an entirely different kind of thrill in this version, but anything that gets the blood pumping can help in these all-too-stationary times. | 4/18/20 |  We took an internal Risqué poll and determined that providing naked pictures of Anais definitely qualifies as an Essential Service. While stuck at home watching [some adjective here] people lashing out at confinement and economic shutdown as they venture into public unprotected and in close quarters, we also had the following opinion: We can see how they might be questioning medical experts and government officials who talk in macro terms while we live in micro ones. That said, while we could not force them to be human test subjects for the omnipresent “this is a really bad idea” theory, we find ourselves perfectly willing to let them volunteer. We hope they’re all correct, and we can all go back to normal very soon, because all the panic has been completely over-blown. | 4/9/20 |  For the record, we staunchly support all the people out there who think we should all be just hanging around our own homes while the really smart folks try to think of a way to get society interacting together again without potentially killing us all. Despite Presidential whinings about rich people losing money, it does seem like massive amounts of people — poor or not — being able to not die should trump (a word used intentionally, and hilariously, by the way) economic recovery in time for our leader to brag before the next national election. That said, while going into the grocery store wearing masks seemed just fine, we realized that now we could not tell if the store were being robbed by bandits. We could have been invaded by a Lesbian Teen Hunter and not even know it. … Turns out we were, as it happens. You might tell yourself that you were simply being benevolent, chivalrous even, as not all the characters in the story put themselves in the best of lights on this occasion. You would be lying to yourself in this case, of course, because really the occasion simply hadn’t come up where the story made any sense beyond petty annoyance resulting in mean-spirited discourse. We found four more previously unreleased full scenes featuring our favourite Super Siren and Horny Villains from Katwoman, and you can see them all right here!” (Naturally we had to add the extra vowel in “favourite” what with Katwoman being a U.K. production, and all.) Then we were going to say, “April Fools!” … But this year the first of April does not lend itself well to jokes, so we pushed a day. Slipping someone a “mickey” — in case you have never read old detective novels or been a film noir fan — generally means putting something in their drink designed to knock them out. Next year we want to be on the college bowl selection committee. Honestly we couldn’t care less which teams actually play in the games; we just want to help pick the names of the bowls themselves. Of course we understand that sponsorship means money to these places, but it can get silly. We’re starting to get them named after duck call manufacturers, if you can believe that. We have some that appear to be just colors, which seems confusing, because who pays for those? And when was that last time you associated anything “new era” with pinstripes? What, do they sew the little lines with itty-bitty binary code or something? … While we
