Whether masks, no masks, happy parents, angry parents, governors stupid or smart, you put young people together for a short amount of time, and Love Letters will begin to flow. Passed amongst friends, slipped into lockers, slid under dorm room doors, whatever, biological imperative trumps — pardon the expression — even heated politics. So we decided to relaunch our full movie Love Letters in honor of the joy of being college students. It was probably in honor of Kristal Summers too, honestly. | 9/4/21 |  Planning has been all but impossible as anyone — well, basically alive and old enough to go outside on their own — can tell you. Back in July we were absolutely certain we’d be trekking to Las Vegas in January for the big AVN convention (the last one?). Then, gosh, this seems pretty hard to explain without getting stuck in the political muck of who’s doing or not doing what that made sailing smoothly into herd immunity a virtual certainty. So without going there, we can admit that we have found ourselves back in the world of virtual meetings, if that tells you anything. So we’re still thinking about the AEE in January, but we’re also thinking about not ending up infected by unwashed masses in an unnaturally cramped room too. (Hey, there’s a lot of drool at a porn convention.) So while we continue to think and see what happens, we thought we would revisit via remaster a particularly memorable trip from a few years ago. | 9/2/21 |  We all enjoy holidays, if not for their underlying reason for existence so much as the fact that most of us do not have to work, even though we still get paid. There are other more personal dates in a year, though, that fall into the “Personal Holiday” category. For whatever reason, when these days roll around annually, it makes us smile, if not necessarily spend a bunch of money on things that make pretty explosions in the nighttime sky. Today would be one of those days for the Risqué Commune actually, even though “work” may not be the most accurate description of what we do around here. As for the millions of not working but still getting paid people out there, well, that ends this weekend.
