2/26/06	Do you know how you know you’re in Los Angeles? I was sitting outside a little sandwich shop yesterday and a guy walked down the street in one of those t-shirts that have obviously been washed about 500 times – you know the “favorite shirt” kind of washing? The shirt said, “If we are what we eat, then I’m going to be you in the morning.” THAT’S how you know you’re in Los Angeles. Now you might want to decide if you’d rather spend a few days in LA, or (finally) peruse D.Minon’s account of the 2006 AEE. They should both take about the same amount of time, we’re betting, but the DM insights will still be cheaper, so they have that going for them. Kristal and Dee can’t do everything.
2/21/06	We’ve got a Big Time Stall going on around here today, but that doesn’t matter as much because we’ve also got the luscious Sarah Blake to help us fill our time. We’ve often said that we lead a very strange life, but it may be that strangeness has no bounds around us. A graduating high school senior (Yes, he’s 18, D.Minon.) casually asked me at lunch if I knew anything about Porn Stars. It seems his final paper has to do with “Women Enslaved by Pornography.” And the only thing this kid knows about me is that I’m friends with his dad. I expect I’d better ask Dad how much I can tell the young inquiring mind. As it turns out, I probably do know something about this subject. The rest of you should probably just enjoy Sarah. 2/19/06	Kaylan Nicole is “Certifiably Anal” … and that’s a dandy way to start a discussion, isn’t it? Well fortunately today there are a lot more interesting things to concentrate on than “discussion” as you’ll see. There’s Kaylan, of course, and then there’s Jewel, Peter North, and a mystery guest. 2/17/06	It’s quite possible that we have a Secret Agent as a member. At least that’s the latest philosophy around here, as we all went through Mr. Moto’s Photos from the AEE. After looking at over 1,000 pictures, not to mention actually attending the event, you’d think we wouldn’t be surprised by the people that our good friend managed to photograph. So we figure he just has some special powers, but at least he only uses them for good, and he does share with us after all, so that’s OK. 2/11/06	Yeah, we know we’re putting up a story today with a date on it from a couple of days ago, but we’ve got so many different stories, and pictures, and clips and so forth in the queue that we didn’t want to hit everybody with too many things right in a row. Besides, this has Dee, and Holly Hollywood, and Mia Smiles, and a Big Star that we’d rather forget, honestly. And that doesn’t happen every day. 2/7/06	Georgia Adair has come up recently on the Message Board, and naturally that got us thinking about her. Then in the midst of a feared Temporary Restraining Order we decided to do more than just think about Georgia; we decided to show her off. So we did. We enjoy easy things sometimes. We mean the showing off, not Georgia personally, of course. Also you can get a little bit of insight into what’s coming up (and you can understand this little picture) if you pay attention today. 2/3/06	We figure we lost Maverick, Doug, and a few others with the thumbnail, but for those of you that didn’t pass out just from a little picture of Kristal Summers in a bubble bath we should explain that we have many pictures, some rather more revealing, of Kristal in this bath today. We call it Beauty and Bubbles make the Babe. We also have Lon’s account of the Adult Entertainment Expo, all 3,407 words of it actually. Oddly this account seems to include complete details on every meal Lon ate in our presence. Hey, we just post ’em as we get ’em, y’all. 2/1/06	We’ve said it before, but we really do lead very strange lives around here. And apparently the condition can be catching as we’ll learn today. Once a distant Kristal Summers fan, then a shy Members’ Party attendee, and eventually a regular visitor to the Risqué homefront, our friend Maverick has taken a professional turn that’s really hard to explain. Now it’s not so much that the industry has a new webmaster among its members as it is that Maverick is that new persona. We know Maverick, and Maverick does NOT shoot POV videos with professional adult entertainers. Something is very, very wrong in the universe. We’re calling this “Fayed to Maverick” but that’s only for as long as it takes us to find that “Turn Back Time” Machine. 7/27/05	Oh, boy … Now we’ve done it. For those of you that aren’t members of both sites, Michael (over at MichaelNinn.com obviously) recently wanted us to try putting D.Minion stories about his shoots over on his site too. Now we’ve always put them here if they inolved anyone we know and love, but a silly as it sounds Mr. Ninn sometimes does shoots that don’t include any Risqué women. I know. Crazy, huh? Anyway he loved the way it looked and the response it got, so now he wants us to do them for EVERY Ninn Worx shoot. Now it may not seem like it, but it’s a lot of work to post these stories the way we do, and since The Risqué Clan represents the major focus around here, we came up with a plan. We agreed to the task on the condition that y’all could see the “other” Ninn shoot stories too, and Michael agreed (happily, we might add). So today you get to see Porn Star which, although not technically starring anyone from our group, the movie does rather heavily relay on some personalities you may be very familiar with. That’s all we’ll say. We don’t mind helping Michael, but we’re still going to be nice about it. 7/25/05	One would think that working in the XXX Industry would be a fairly good job. Now we should probably dispell some myths here before we even get started, so “bare” [sic, we know] with us as we try not to ruin too many fantasies. … Hmm … This might be too large of a topic for a “New Stuff” lead-in, so let’s just go with the Bigee Myth: Women in the Porn Industry don’t actually have sex with anyone, anywhere, at the drop of a hat, or even trousers. OK. That’s over with. Actually this works exactly like most jobs. Everything gets old if you do it often enough. Honestly, the technical production of your favorite Adult Fare, probably wasn’t nearly as romantic as you might imagine. Put in more understandable terms, if you’re married it’s not that your spouse has “lost something” nearly so much as it is that you’re just really, really used to it. So don’t feel bad. (Do something about it, but don’t just sit around feeling bad.) More on point for the rest of us, as to today’s purposes we’ve called our wonderfully illustrated insights “Down in the Dolldrums” [still sic, we know]. 7/13/05	Well we assume that figuring out what went wrong should make us feel better, but basically it just means that we have a lot of “fixing” to do. Sigh. Still, the first lost story that surfaced from technical oblivion happened to be D.Minion’s account of the same Innocence shoot that Lon had an account of … sort of. There were a couple of shoots going on at the same time, and DM (this time around) only accounted for ONE of the two while still managing to get in 280 pictures and over 6,000 words. This is one of those many, many words posts, y’all, so prepare yourselves while we go look for some more of what we lost. Don’t worry too much though: We’re only looking for lost stories. We gave up looking for our minds some time ago. Call this D.Minion’s take on “Innocence and Slutty Innocence.” Oh, and there was a tie in the voting for the thumbnail to include here, so we just used them both. 7/7/05	Sometimes Lon just says it best. He had a chance to visit one of Michael’s sets a while back, and he had a camera with him (imagine that). Now we’re really not certain about what exposure methods this particular camera utilized, but there are naked girls in the pictures, so we assume Lon had some plan in mind. We do know that Long giggled a lot after this particular trip, but we really should stop talking about this now. We wouldn’t want to Wax Lon, Wax Off, after all. Lon does a bunch of that himself. 6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight. 6/10/05	We’ve been thinking a lot about this “special week” coming up, so we decided to spend a little time with our friend. 4/30/05	We counted 17 separate references to old television theme songs in D.Minion’s story of Carol’s visit to Southern California. We’d actually worry about our sanity, but we’re much too crazy for this kind of deep introspection. Fortunately, the 125 photos from Michael Ninn (who didn’t even meet Carol, by the way) can make up for a lot of blatent silliness. 4/29/05	We get to visit with a bunch of old friends today, and D.Minion’s got 180 pictures and some 3,000-odd words to prove it. She was on the set of The Devinn Lane Show, Part 3: Attack of the Divas a couple of years back, and she got to spend some time with Julia Ann, Dee, Lola and Devinn. (D.Minion should pay us for this job.) By the way, we should state for the record here that, although we haven’t always agreed with her “career” decisions, Devinn Lane has always been beautiful, innovative, daring, and extremely motivated. In short, Devinn Lane is a very good director. She also happens to be wearing one of my favortie shirts during this shoot. “I can only be nice to one person a day. Today is not your day. 4/25/05	All of us at the office blame Carol for the lateness of the latest Ninn Worx Weekend. Michael didn’t get to meet Carol, since she “allegedly” spent her time in Southern California on the beach and eating home-cooked meals, and not on the Sybian. Both Carol and Michael are very polite people. … So we don’t have any pictures or either Carol or Michael on the Sybian, but we do have some really dandy images that will hopefully distract you from that point. 4/20/05	Pretty much every day, everyone pretty much has to do something. So today we pretty much figured we’d just spend some time looking at Wanda Curtis. All in all, in our experience, this turns out to be pretty much of a fun thing to do, and so we’re encouraging you to do it too. I don’t know if any of you ever had the opportunity to see Wanda in person, but she looks like a drawing or something. When artists draw their idealized visions of the perfect female form, they generally look like Wanda, actually. If Barbie Dolls had a human incarnation, they would look like Wanda too. 4/17/05	… [DMinion wrote this. It’s not my fault.] “From Nightingale poop to human foreskin.” According to a TV show I just watched, these are some of the things people put on their faces to keep them looking young and beautiful. Anais looks beautiful without any of these, uh, interesting concoctions. (I should know. I’ve seen her without makeup and she’s stunning. It just isn’t fair.) 4/15/05	In the movie business, a “side” is a small part of the script that the director intends to record on a particular day. Generally, when the “players” show up in their really groovy (or at least ego-gratifying) trailer room, some nameless person will have placed the sides in the room — most often directly upon the only horizontal seating area in said ego-gratifying room. The point, here, being that sometimes things don’t always turn out the way they “historically” should. In our ongoing efforts to convince Juli to release some of her “owned, albeit heretofore hidden,” footage of Essentially Inari, we’re providing a peek into the past lives of, not only Inari Vachs, but Dee, Kristal Summers, a very happily endowed man, a couple of genuinely nice women from Juli’s past, and even Juli herself. We call it “Old Irony-Sides” … but we’re like that. We would also like to point out that using words like “albeit” and “heretofore” should be at least a misdemeanor in any civilized country. 4/10/05	OK. Technically it may be a little late for a Ninn Worx Weekend, but, also technically, it’s still the weekend for three more minutes in LA as we’re posting this. Besides, some days “It’s all about the Porn Star, baby.” … and what’s a little tardiness when those are your options? 4/8/05	Well we’re still plowing through Tax Hell, which wouldn’t be as bad if you didn’t have to do it every year, we’re thinking. And as it turns out, although it really, really sucks to move with a broken leg right before Christmas, it’s even worse if you didn’t think about putting all of the various tax document areas from the office and warehouse in one box so you could find it easily when you needed it. (I don’t know why they were always in various places; that was not my job.) So we decided to make up for it with a Night Calls post from Juli and Tiffany’s February Show this year. This one turned out to be extra long, as it included the soon to be more famous Justine, along with a side trip to a Dee dance gig. 4/2/05	For some reason we’re very concerned about The Learning Channel (and yesterday was April Fool’s Day). We don’t really know how to explain it better than that, other than point out that Bob Seger will be happy, and we do have the benefit of 80 (plus) pictures of Dee thinking of … probably anything but The Learning Channel.
