D.Minion cannot possibly author an entire series of articles referencing the former mayor of Carmel, California, without eventually “splitting” off that discussion to the merits of caramel ice cream. You might wish that not to happen, but if you know anything about us at all, you clearly knew those hopes were in vain. On the upside, we did manage a ménage à trois illustration with a man most famous as basically a caricature of himself along with two suitably festive female companions. So be brave. 6/24/20	We finish up Planet of the Babes today with a couple of (naturally astute) observations here, lest you miss them in the update — y’know because of all the naked people and whatnot. First, should you ever be forced to try and make your way alone in the wilderness, having Asia Carrera go with you can hardly make things worse, and might actually improve your state of mind a great deal. Granted, taking Lola too might have been even better, but apparently sticking close to the original script seemed preferable to that ending. Seems like a strange place to draw the line, but whatever. 6/19/20	It seemed to us that the last day of spring in this completely and wholeheartedly bizarre year of 2020 would be the perfect day to wrap up our Lesbian Springtime look at the wildly divergent ways that different companies approach a distinctly popular niche in our strange little world. You could, of course, choose rather to try and figure out if when you go outside into the world because you must you will be mocked for wearing a mask, or perhaps mocked for not wearing a mask. You could wonder how “a million requests” to attend a campaign rally might possibly result in thousands of unused seats in an event center that holds only 19,000 people when completely packed. Our suggestion will be to consider the consenting women playing with each other, because those other things will just depress you. 6/7/20	Use a machete to whack off a guy’s head, at which point you watch it bounce down the stairs, well, that may be Grimm, but it can be on network television. Spurt too much blood, and you’ll need to be over 17 or with your parents (in the United States) to watch that same scene even in a movie theater, though. Drop a guy off a cliff and watch him splat, shoot him with a cannon ball, or hit him with a train, and that fellow best be animated if you seek a tv audience. Every country has unique rules about even specifically adult material, though, a principle we examine at some length today. To accomplish this most successfully, you should at least pretend that you have no idea what a PDF might be. In fairness, should your character also know that it will be having sex with Kaci Starr in a few minutes, that might be more than a little distracting on the method acting aspirations. 6/18/18	You can argue about the morality in adult movies. You can argue about inherent misogyny, or an industry preying on youth with hundred dollar bills as talons. You can even argue that the genre as a whole does a poor job even as educational value because it promulgates vastly unrealistic expectations in everything from “mating rituals” — so to speak — to body image. … Of course you can argue against all of those things too. … What you cannot argue, however, would be that the individuals in these movies do not share many of the same basic human characteristics as the rest of us. Well, the auction takes place this coming week, and while we remain hopeful that good things will transpire, we need to be realistic too. Honestly, we were in court last time, and we have seen slasher movies a lot less bloody than that showing by the current leadership. You have to believe creative can coexist with business, though, otherwise you’d have to pick one or the other, and that would be boring.
