| 10/18/23 |  It turns out that today happens to be “Alaska Day” which apparently celebrates the date back in 1867 when Russia formally turned over the territory to the United States. While Russia would not likely give us anything today, even for $7.2 million (nearly $150 million today, so basically the amount Congress doles out when they just don’t want to be bothered), we do love celebrating just the beauty of nature things. Consequently, we revisit Dee and Pre-emergent Tenaya today because not only do they represent natural beauty, but we’re pretty sure we had Baked Alaska with them at least a few times. One has always needed to be a bit careful when throwing terms around like Girly Thoughts — presumably as compared to Boyly ones, we suppose. Aside from the blatant sexism in the concept, it does make it seem like you actually believe that some “thoughts” my be limited to certain sexes. Honestly, beyond “wow am I glad I can pee standing up,” we’re not seeing a lot of outlier thoughts in the All Humans category. Of course at least this author grew up in a time when there were only two genders and you had to just stick with what you got, much like your family. Context makes a good deal of difference in life. For example, should you have very few calendar years under your belt, you might be a little squirt. Should you be rather uncouth and lacking in proper education, you might in fact take a little squirt. In our world, however, the term has a more controversial meaning.
