5/31/04	Don’t you hate it when you do stupid stuff? Somehow in all the chaos of the last couple of weeks (Michael and team are in Budapest shooting now. Getting them out of town was a challenge, not that you care.) we forgot to post the Cinco de Mayo Night Calls episode. (About this you certainly care.) Well we’re making up for it today, and we’ll just have to apologize for delaying the reveal of Juli’s personal twist on chorizo con huevos, with Julian playing an important role. 5/27/04	We were pulling up to a convenience store today when we noticed a stunning, 20-something, brunette getting out of a sporty little car. The sun happened to be behind her, and it was obvious that she didn’t have a thing on under her very thin (and short) cotton dress. It was also obvious she knew how to walk to attract attention. Standing behind her in line, we observed that her key ring said, “Ye Old Tattoo Shop” on it, but she had no tattoos visible, despite the fact that there was not much of her actually covered by clothing. After paying for our purchases we exited and saw her car still parked in the lot, whereupon we also saw that she had leopard skin seat covers and a blood-red cell phone. Driving away, we ultimately took note of the fact that she had two bumper stickers on her vehicle. The first said, “White Trash,” and the second advised, “My priest fucked your honor student.” You gotta love LA. Now this all of this has nothing to do with D.Minion’s observations of Dee and The Nooner cast at a recent Spice Promotional shoot, but, then, neither do the 135 pictures from Hedonism III. By the way, if you live in Southern California, and you happen to know this stunning brunette, could you have her call us? 5/22/04	Well, it took long enough, but we finally have gotten to the point of Mav’s vacation story. Becoming Georgia Adair: Self Portrait released this week, and after a great many weeks learning about American construction methods, Maverick finally got to do something fun. We’re showing you “Day One” of his account here, and there are actually 210 pictures you might be interested in seeing. Of course you’ll be on to page four of the picture pages before the actual sex scenes begin, but there’s lots of Georgia naked before that. 5/9/04	We sailed past 3,500 pages on the web site today, and you’d think in all that time we’d at least have something important to say. 5/6/04	Driving home in the typical suburban misnomer known as “Rush Hour” the other day, I noticed a curious bumper sticker. It said, “I learned everything I needed to know in Sniper School.” You know, that’s not exactly how I remember the quaint little saying from my youth, but it does go to show that things are just a little bit unusual in LA. 5/5/04	Did y’all ever see How the Grinch Stole Christmas? Remember the little dog that the Grinch tries to make into a reindeer? Well, when the poor confused dog ends up under the sleigh, and then proceeds to jump up on the back of it, he gives the cutest little shrug and a friendly wave that at least for a moment stems the consternation evident in the Grinchy One. This wouldn’t be important here except that for as long as we’ve known Juli Ashton, she’s done this same move to signify a moment in time meaning, more or less, “I don’t know. It seemed like a good idea at the time.” So as you read about Night Calls, April 21, 2004 you might remember this thumbnail. 2/26/04	It’s officially less than a week away from the return of Night Calls from its long hiatus. If you look carefully, you can see that “hiatus” is not really all that far from “Hate Us,” and if you ask most Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath fans they’d consider those words synonyms for sure. Add in the fact that a scheduling conflict kept D.Minion from the first January show, and then you can sort of explain why Night Calls, January 21, 2004 runs about … oh … TWICE AS LONG as one of D.Minion’s usual stories. Still, it’s Juli and the gang, and we’ll likely forgive them their abscence as we usually do. 2/23/04	Well we’ve got quite the treat for you today as Maverick has continued to work his Photoshop fingers to the bone. So we’ve got Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson having torrid sex on a table, where Jessica Drake happens to be lunching, apparently oblivious, although it sounds like she snuck a little play in there secretly. Fair enough. Why then, we must ask D.Minion, was the only photo in the set, taken at the highest resolution and highest frame size (an unusual setting for us), the photo below? 2/10/04	The lead-in to the local Los Angeles evening news the other night teased with, “Today the Mars Rover took its first microscopic pictures of a nearby rock.” Most of the really good copy writers around here wanted to immediately quit and get a job with “The Southland’s #1 News” if that was the best they could come up with. That really has nothing to do with another episode of D.Minion’s coverage of Dee and the Fat Men on KSEX radio, but we promised to give these wonderful people public credit so they wouldn’t run off and join the Legitimate Press. Bleh. And even though we’re in the middle of the next Innocence shoot for Ninn Worx, Dee finished an Ultimate Pictures movie and continues her twice-weekly Nooner Naughtiness, Kristal Summers continues to line up several more boys to bonk for bucks, Anais shot (yet again) for Suze Randall, and both Georgia Adair and Angel Cassidy are busy putting together budgets and shooting schedules (and those pesky contracts) for each of their respective personal lines (also for Ninn Worx) … even though all of that was taking place, we still managed to buy pizza for everyone for lunch. We think geeks like pizza better than praise. We also think we’ve probably stalled enough. Enjoy! 1/31/04	I read in a book today that someone turns 49 years old every 7½ seconds in the United States. In the process of putting together the 2004 Adult Entertainment Expo story, I was pretty sure I was going to be one of those people. The fact that this milestone happens some 5½ years from now did not disuade me from this thought. With the tallies all in we have 23 pages, somewhere over 10,154 words, 400+ pictures, and over 60 MB of video files added … today. Next time I ask for contributions from members on a story, will somebody please just shoot me? For now, this one’s in the database, and I’m making myself one serious Jack and Ginger … I also read in a book today, “There is only one boundary that limits a dreamer, and that is the boundary that he imposes on himself.” Around here, we might add … or herself …. 1/28/04	We know that Being with Juli Ashton was the last movie that Juli ever did for VCA. We also know that Georgia’s in town next week to sign her new Ninn Worx contract and talk about her new production line. We know that Dee’s on Night Calls Radio with Juli now, and we know that our good friend Juli has launched a new free site called HeyJuli.com. 1/27/04	Our good friends Julia Ann and Michael Raven scored big at the most recent AVN Awards show with Beautiful winning “Best Video Feature” and “Best Screenplay” for Wicked, “Best Actress” for Julia, and “Best Director” for Mr. Julia. Now we didn’t really have anything to do with the success of this production, but that’s never stopped us from writing a story about it anyway, and it’s not about to this time. 1/26/04	There are two major newspapers in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the way out to breakfast (one of our favorite weekend events) this past Saturday we picked up a copy of each, having granted ourselves a morning break from management, web sites, and home improvement. The headlines on one of them included, “Iraq Arms Inspector Resigns, Casts Doubt on Prewar Data;” “Kerry Showing Strength Across Board in N.H.;” “Bush Seeks 7% Boost in Military Spending;” and “U.N. to Send Team to Assess Elections in Iraq.” The other paper chose these titles to hook its readers into purchase: “Phil on Kobe: It’s Shaq’s team,” and “Kids lose their Captain Kangaroo.” We’re thinking this demonstrates a fundamental difference of approach to an arena, and when D.Minion covered Kristal on a fetish shoot, it brought the idea home. My father used to tell me regularly that, “It takes all kinds to make a world,” and like most things my father used to tell me, what he meant keeps getting clearer and clearer. 1/24/04	Who could have guessed that a nation-wide shortage of “2-Disk” DVD boxes could delay the anticipated release of Anais’ first big Feature production for Ninn Worx? Who could have guessed that mainstream films would finally catch on to the benefits of including a second disk with captivating special features and heretofore unseen insights, thereby causing the shortage? Who could have guessed that Lon would have been completely bummed out by this dastardly consequence? Guess when you’ll finally be able to see the movie trailer, and even buy your own copy if you want … NOW. 1/23/04	Throughout history there have been many, many definitions of Innocence. In 12 pages and 182 pictures, D.Minion must have covered them all. Michael Ninn and Ninn Worx called these days Pure Pink and Sweet Cherry. We simply call them FINALLY COMPLETE … We’ll take two Jack Daniels and call you in the morning. Y’all just have a good weekend plowing through this. Our best estimates are that it will take you about as long to read about the shows as it did to actually shoot them. 1/16/04	We get emails all of the time asking us if the people that contribute to this site are “real” and if “the Members’ Parties really happen.” Well, we keep telling you that truth is stranger than fiction, and today we have yet another example. For some bizarre reason, Lon wanted to come to LA and work as an intern, so he could forget about no longer having any other work to do, and so we thought, “OK. Interns are free.” (We only said the first part out loud, however.) While most of the stuff was pretty boring, he did get a chance to try his hand at photographing one of Dee’s Cam Shows. 1/15/03	Sometimes one of the best things about being a member around here has to be that you can get news before anyone else does. Our business doesn’t hit the AP Wire very often, so mass dissemination sometimes fails in even the coolest of circumstances. 1/2/04	It’s mostly about polka dots today, and we have Bert to thank for it. We also wanted to pay a special tribute to someone who has been a special member over the past year, and so we’ve done that. Honestly we’re starting the new year with a bit of nuance that we don’t often employ around these parts. 10/31/03	Very little in modern life has done as much for the hallowed weenie as Playboy TV’s Night Calls. Consequently, today seemed like the perfect day to post the most recent of D.Minion’s mental mastications on Juli’s long-running series. Apparently being hit with a sausage constitutes the most terrifying thing our poor Superstar has ever experienced — and this includes working for Gregory Dark. Truth is stranger than fiction. Oh, and by the way, her keys were apparently vaporized by aliens, tested, and then replaced in the bag where they were supposed to be. If you read the story, that will make sense … probably. Like it or not, the vast majority of you will soon be battling ice storms and shoveling snow. Bleh. So we’re starting a series of reminiscent posts today from the tropical lands of Jamaica. 10/17/03	Slightly over a month ago we managed to muddle through yet another Members’ Party, and the folks that attended are still writing in. We put together three accounts here, so get ready for a lengthy ride. This encompasses 17 pages and includes 170+ pictures, 4 silly videos, and highlights the somewhat painful reality that those of us who are not professional models actually don’t look the same in pictures as those of us that in fact are. It’s a little bit like home movies, so don’t feel you have to study every nuance; you’re perfectly OK if you just want to see the 75 or so pictures of what mere mortals look like covered in beautiful naked porn stars. For our part, we’re just glad we kept our promise and didn’t mention that at one point in the weekend’s festivities Billy Glide ordered up $65 worth of coffee to the suite. Oops. Oh, and somehow this thumbnail just jumped out at us. 10/9/03	Most members probably don’t realize how much work a woman puts into having a web site of her own. That’s probably why most of them end up just letting some company do the work for them, and settle for a miniscule percentage of the “pie” … as it were. Julia Ann reigns as one of the top exceptions to this rule, and since yesterday was her birthday, we thought we’d give her a little traffic present to publicly state how much we admire her continued dedication to her site over the years. The fact that she invited Inari Vachs down to her promotional shoot day didn’t hurt our feelings either, and isn’t this just the perfect sort of present, one that you can share with your friends? 10/6/03	While many people believe that there are in fact no new things under the sun, we’re figuring technology may finally have diminished some of the accuracy in relatively aged opinions. We’re almost certain, for example, that Shakespeare never anticipated a day where thousands upon thousands of couples could play “Romeo and Juliet” each evening and broadcast the evidence to untold millions of viewers via something as Orwellian as the “World Wide Web.” Fortunately, those grander questions have no bearing on today’s post. We have some new entries into the “Dear Readers Speak” and one amazing man has been so kind as to offer a truly “one-of-a-kind” bonus for members.
