10/31/16	In our bizarre little world, the phrase “Trick or Treat” takes on a vastly different meaning than you will likely hear at your doorstep this evening. (At least we really, really hope so, and if not, you live in a truly weird neighborhood.) Still, as the holiday season approaches most of our office sets to the task of planning for next year, having either successfully completed the schedule for this year or having decided to just scrap a bunch of it after a suitable application of tequila. 7/22/11	Many types of people end up in the “adult business” although many of them seem quite unwilling to accept it, or at least acknowledge it publicly. A quick trip through the latest “Novelty” convention has highlighted this little fact that we seem to forget, while Shayla choosing an outfit in which to attend a small-town produce “Festival” seems to demonstrate how seamlessly we adapt to the “regular” world. 7/16/11	You just know you’ve made it as a major society in the History of the World when road construction in one of your major cities makes the international news. Either that, or you know it has been an amazingly slow news day. Well, you’ve got a much less painful option to consider over the weekend, and you won’t even have to think about “Carmageddon” in LA at all. The CyCAM makes its episodic debut today, and while potentially as noteworthy as shutting down the major North/South interstate in Los Angeles, it probably won’t make the television news anywhere. 7/14/11	Possibilities abound in this business in general, and unique potential multiplies geometrically around the risque communes. For example, sometimes the people that came up with the plan for a post don’t happen to be around when the time comes for other people to actually do the work. 7/4/11	We attended a workshop at a conference once where the speaker began his talk by saying, “We only walk by continually beginning to fall forward.” While we can’t really speak to the relevance for that specific workshop to what followed in our professional careers, since none of us can even remember which one it was – or even what city we were in when we heard it – we have employed the sentiment on occasion. For example, we can see how the theory applies to the freedoms celebrated in America on July 4^th, even if many of us face $2,000 fines should we seek to create our own Rocket’s Red Glare instead of simply enjoying those of the government-sponsored variety. Perhaps most of all, however, Freedom (with a capital “F” don’t you know) allows us to voice introspection and illustrate our points with beautiful naked women. All in all that does seem safer than potentially blowing off your hand or burning the town down. 8/28/06	Hmm. Now this isn’t our best thing, that’s for sure. We’ve pretty much told it like it “is” on the inside here, but seeing as how these “New Stuff” posts end up on the free side at the end of every month, some people think we need to be more politically correct out here. And I thought we got into this business so we didn’t have to bother with pissant PC crap all the time (and that wasn’t really meant as a metaphor but it suits the mood just fine). Consequently you may consider this a nice, polite, and even fresh-smelling comment about what’s in store for today, but that’s about all we can say about it. This picture probably doesn’t help at all, but then why would it? The point of being “Politically Correct” is to obscure the point, right? 8/24/06	In the midst of all the chaos here (which pretty much could begin just about every paragraph we ever type, come to think of it) somehow, somebody (who may not work here much longer, come to think of that) discovered that we’d forgotten to put up D.Minion’s fawning coverage of Justine playing Audrey Hollander’s body double (or more accurately “out of body” double) on day one of the Catherine shoot. Then this somebody went so far as to mention it to D.Minion, who then proceeded to scream and yell and loudly complain about it. OK. D.Minion doesn’t really scream and yell, but those hurt little puppy eyes that she’s learned from the many dachshunds around here work even better. Consequently we quickly caved in our resolve to be done with the last big movie Michael shot until at least we finished talking about this latest big movie Michael shot, and so we’re righting our wrong today. 8/21/06	We figured it out. A picture is worth 1,000 words, and there are 30 pictures every second that run through a typical video moment (at least in the U.S., but let’s not overcomplicate here). Therefore D.Minion saved us over a half a million words in her Day Three post, although it may not seem like it once you’re done going through it. Oh, and this was just on the part she didn’t talk about at all. Go figure. One the upside, Day Three did include naked visions of not only the stars of Sacred Sin Heather Vuur and Jassie, but also some memorable visits from A.J. Bailey and Nevaeh. Then of course there’s the captivating scene where no one got to have sex with Dee, but we’re not bitter or anything. We are going to have to speak to the Director about this, though. 8/19/06	Perhaps “Art Theory” would best describe our timid foray into understanding the mind of Lorraine Sisco today. Actually the only words we’re completely sure of in that last sentence would be “timid” — at least upon reflections. You’ll pretty much have to judge for yourself the art vs. plain weirdness debate that could plague us (if only we cared much about it), but at least you’ll get to see some pretty darned interesting video from The Catalyst in the process. 8/17/06	So here’s the story … We happen to be talking to Lon about coming out to the Eddie Van Halen party at the end of September, and during the course of the conversation we happen to ask, “Hey, whatever happened to that Erotica LA story you said you were writing?” (We’re a lot more subtle sometimes, but not very often.) Anyway, Lon says, “I sent it to you a long time ago.” (What he left unsaid but implied was that we sometimes get a little busy and a “few” weeks go by without stories ever making actually onto the site, but we got the point.) “We never got it,” was the honest reply. “Well, I wondered why it never ran,” said a very patient Lon, “I’ll send it to you again.” (He’s nice and very helpful too, that Lon.) “Excellent!” we immediately reply, “Now we can stall some more before we have to do Day Three.” So while you won’t see 100-some-odd photos from D.Minion, you can see a bunch of porn stars hanging around a sex convention and hear about Lon and DM as a couple. 8/15/06	One of the really odd things we’ve noticed over the years is how much things seem to go in “spurts” in our business, if you’ll please pardon the pun. For example, sometimes you won’t go to a location for years, and then all of the sudden you’re there three times in a month. And sometimes you won’t have any wonderful pictures video on Dee (and Anais) for a long time, and then all the sudden everywhere you look it’s popping up, again pardon the pun. Well, this is NOT Day Three of DM’s Sacred story but that’s coming soon, and wouldn’t you know it, Dee’s on that day too. It’s a very good thing Dee’s easy on the “Ayes” … You don’t have to pardon that pun, as we did it on purpose. (You don’t have to like it though; it’s America, after all.) 8/9/06	It’s a couple of interesting tidbits with a peek into the magic and mechanics of filmmaking that we’re looking at today, but you’ll really have to read the story to see what specifically we’re talking about. Since this eventually ends up on the “free” side of the site, we can’t say too much about it where just anyone could read it some day. Suffice it to say that a wonderful collection of Dee as a nude talk show host on KSEX barely scratches the issue, and even on the free side we can point out that a naked Dee makes for a stellar beginning to just about any event we can think of. Some people might find our lives a little scary, truth be told, and we were going to spend some time trying to explain it. 4/16/06	And now for something completely depressing. … As we think about it, this might be the first time we’ve ever introduced a story with this sort of lamentation, but this is also the first time D.Minion ever wrote about her last night on Night Calls – ever. Still, we’re supposed to remain upbeat in the face of adversity, but we’ve really always thought that was an overrated concept. Heck. If you’re feeling down, you should have the right as an adult to scream, cry, kick you feet, and just generally act in a juvenile manner. Otherwise what’s the point of being an adult? Well, you can eat ice cream whenever you want, but other than that? Come to think of it, you might want some ice cream as you read about this conclusion of era.
