4/28/08	When the folks at the office learned that the Denver Broncos drafted guys with the names Eddie Royal, Carlton Powell, and Spencer Larson some people around here said it sounded like we’d have to start serving high tea at half time or something. … As it turns out, some people aren’t nearly as funny as they think they are. … On the other hand delving into a review of D.Minion spending time with Sean Michaels and his prodigious – um – persona on a porn set will probably be just as funny as you’d think it would be. 4/27/08	Well, we’re back from an odd combination of conventions down in L.A. again. This time the folks at “Fangoria” and the other folks at “Adult-Con” were kind enough to schedule their events at the same time, albeit at opposite ends of the Convention Center. Oddly the women at the horror gathering seemed to dress rather like the women at the porn convention, although they did seem to wear a lot more black and have a lot more holes poked in their faces – presumably for decorative purposes. We’re not sure we really understand that particular aspect of the sub-culture, but we do have D.Minion working diligently on explaining it all to us. We should mention that we’re not making any promises that this will in fact help, though. Until then (and as we’re working to wade through the “queue” here), we managed to uncover Mav’s still shoot that he somehow forgot to include with the “Cam Show” video entry, so maybe that will help. 4/20/08	Ah. Mr. U.K. seems to be poking around again, back from his sojourns getting various British women to disrobe and otherwise occupy themselves for his cameras. True, Maverick does seem a bit confused on the whole “and how does this make sense in the risqué scheme of things” approach, but he’s young yet and we have great faith in him. Of course we had great faith that Craig Morton was going to lead the Broncos to a Super Bowl Championship too, so it’s probably best if you don’t use our opinion as the barometer of reasonableness. We keep promising Dee that we’ll catch her up on her KSEX history – which seems much more important now that KSEX itself is basically history – and then she calls and mentions that … um … we don’t seem to have done that yet. … OK. Well this time we have taken the time to develop a Dee System, which beats the heck out of a regular ol’ system if you want to know the truth. At any rate, we have determined that if we faithfully post one or two “Dee on KSEX” stories a month … we’ll absolutely be done by 2050 or so. Hey, it’s good to have a plan. 4/16/08	Alicia Rhodes Well Traveled. … Hmm. Rarely do we have a title that as effectively conveys the topic being addressed as this one does. OK, so technically Maverick didn’t literally use this title, but he’s just starting to seek out his investigative journalist muse, so we’re cutting him a little slack. And if his “investigation” actually reflects much more of a “personal reflection” point of view than meetings with any sort of Deep Throat character, and his role as a “journalist” really comes down to simply writing those thoughts down, well what’s the harm in the Grand Perspective? Besides, if you think about it, you’ll see that Alicia certainly reflects one sort of deep throat character. There’s that. Also, we get to admire a refreshingly different kind of porn star, and we get to learn about European geography – maybe. Things could be worse. … Life is short. Why stress over details? 4/12/18	We interrupt our regularly scheduled chaos to bring you a bit of insight on current events in adult. Now we don’t do this very often, as there are scads of web sites out there that stake “news” as their particular niche on the web, but sometimes a situation will just throw one low and outside, and you just have to swing for the fence. (Don’t you just love a good baseball metaphor?) We could tell you the topic for today, in fact that would be a completely logical thing to do right now, but honestly we can only take so much “convention” in one sitting. We can at least tell you that we’re using the unusually beautiful “Tall Goddess” and the captivating Renee Perez to illustrate some of our finer points – all the while showing off some of theirs. (Yeah, we’re topical and funny. It’s a gift.) Also, if you point out the exact topic in an introductory area like this, people can go back and figure out when that happened, thus “dating” your post in the future. All the really smart web people say that only news sites date their posts, as membership sites want to appear more “timeless” in their appeal. 4/9/08	D.Minion must have been bored last weekend, because she apparently spent a whole bunch of time watching XXX movies. Either that, or we missed one hell of a party over at her place. Whichever the case may be, Kristal has once again caught DM’s fancy (or fantasy) as a MILF, this time along with our old friend Wendy (Maya) Divine in The MILF Chronicles. 4/8/08	Apparently, men are pigs. At least that’s the lesson we’re presumably supposed to learn from D.Minion’s review ofCheating Housewives #4. Of course people don’t usually make porn movies that try to teach actual life-lessons. That would be like trying to write a book about Christianity using an imaginary wonderland that a bunch of kids find by wandering through a secret room at the back of a closet. … Oh. … So that happens sometimes. … Still, life-lessons do not happen this time. On the other hand, you’ve got Nina Hartley, Kylie Ireland, Brittany Andrews, Lola and Kristal Summers to distract you from all the lessons you’re not learning this time around, and that helps a lot as it turns out. 4/3/08	Some video projects that we do for the web turn out to be a whole lot more “difficult” than we would have thought they’d be when we put them into the queue. That said, some projects involve a beautiful Kristal Summers and one of her Cam Shows, so that just logically seems like something worth a little extra effort. For those of you with good Internet connections, we’re getting a jump on the weekend today – even as we’re completing still details for the “Carol Faction” …. Give yourself some time on this one. 2/28/08	We’re reaping the rewards of the UK extension today with a new gallery on KazB. We thought we’d mention it here too, just in case people aren’t yet used to looking at the 247AdultStars main page yet. Maverick uses a more traditional approach with his site, that being essentially just adding new gallery (or video) links to a star’s "main" page to update. Apparently not everyone on the web talks as much as we do. Go figure. That’s hardly the only non-traditional thing about us if you really want to know the truth. 2/23/08	Granted we’re paying a not-so-subtle tribute to yet another UK influence with our "Stray Cats" references. On the upside, though, our particular bent on this musical reference involves our own friends Kristal Summers, Georgia Adair, and Dee (which is way better than a bunch of hairy, sweaty guitar players from England). If you think about it, the Web has made microculture potentially profitable enough to ensure its survival, and Cam Shows are living, breathing, sexual proof of the theory. 2/19/08	Well the Geeks around here are all abuzz about some new Flash Video player they’re designing, or working with, or modifying … or some such silliness, and the rest of us have been forced to watch our own Kristal Summers in a bunch of her recent releases as we try to come to terms with where exactly the term MILF came from and why anyone is surprised that women over 22 years old can be sexy. Well we found out that although we’ve talked a lot about Kristal’s first Award Winning MILF movie, we never actually ran D.Minion’s On the Set Piece, and we figured we should do that one before we do the next ones. … And by the way, we’re renewing our public offer to "do" Kristal any time she offers too – purely in the interests of scientific research of course. 2/16/08	We actually aim to be a little puzzling today, which stands in direct contrast to our usual method of simply being inadvertently so. 2/8/08	Big news on the horizon usually means silly amounts of code work in the office. And we can assure you that it takes a special kind of person to spend hours and hours tweaking miniscule amounts of code to the point where when people see it, they simply say, "Cool." … And the name for that special kind of person is weird in case you’re curious. Consequently while the alleged boss dude was distracted, someone from the Blue Collar Comedy writing corps obviously infiltrated our ranks as we were working on the next installment of the AEE 2008 review. Somebody better settle that writers’ strike in Hollywood pretty quick because those folks can be a bad influence on the young and impressionable it seems. On the upside, "Porn Princess" Christina and Redish will be happy, because they can finally know that all of their "stuff" will be shipping out this week. 2/3/08	We were going to post the final episode of the "Pink Makes Dee Think" Cam Show to celebrate the final day of the 2007 NFL season. … But then someone here pointed out that this is not in fact technically the last day of the season. We won’t mention whom, since that might be unnecessarily critical, but we will say that her name rhymes with "See Em" (if you note that we haven’t used an apostrophe in that second word). So we’re making it "Episode Two" and we’re trying to be nice about it. Still, has anyone actually watched a Pro Bowl in the last 15 or 20 years? … Well we haven’t either. … Basically we all know that the Pro Bowl just serves as methadone for football addicts. … Our final advice would be to just wait a day or so on this and watch the Super Bowl. And if you don’t like football, just do what "DM" does: Read a book during the game and look up to watch the commercials. (OK. 1/31/08	Somehow we got all serious today, at least for a good part of D.Minion’s industry report. Still a great deal more than "fun and games" goes along with being in the XXX Industry (and a good many fewer orgies than people think if you want to know the truth). It doesn’t hurt any of us to at least consider some of the Bigger Pictures every once in awhile – particularly when you can just click the little camera icon at the top of the page and skip to the "smaller" pictures – happily involving gratuitous nudity. We have a t-shirt pinned to the bulletin board in the office that says, "Everyone should believe in something. I believe I’ll have another beer." … Insightful perhaps. 1/25/08	Apparently we’ve been slacking off on bringing Dee’s KSEX Index up to date with all of the missing days from her tenure there. And apparently some people have noticed, because we’re getting emails about this oversight. … Well, coincidentally we were working on a rather large NEW approach to Dee’s Diary and decided to fill in for a brief bit here with some of those requested posts. For what it’s worth, we’ve long been of the opinion that there’s no such thing as too much Dee – particularly if Dee happens to be naked. She’s wonderful otherwise too, but naked saves on laundry. 1/23/08	We suppose we had to start somewhere in our daunting task of covering this year’s Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. Consequently a "Best of" stills collection from Maverick, along with his "Convention Floor" video contribution seemed a nice, gentle way to begin. He’s also provided some of the "autographs" that he collected, which presumably (and hopefully) he’ll explain a bit more when he launches the 247AdultStars.com site within the risqué family. Last we heard he was "working frantically" on that task, but one can never really be sure what "frantic" means in the UK we’ve learned over the years. 1/20/08	Upon the internal review of today’s contribution we actually had an unusual bit of disagreement among a couple of the troops. D.Minion wanted an explanation "elaboration" while Maverick held firm in the opinion that, "Hey. It’s just another story in the life of risqué." … As for what we all eventually decided, well, we can’t really get into that here. There are a couple of football games going on today, and we plan on grilling out and thanking our stars that we live in Southern California and not in either Boston or Green Bay. Brrrr. 1/16/08	Well we survived again and we’re all back and kicking. OK. So most of us are not kicking like the Rockettes exactly, more like Charlie Brown if you want to know the truth. Still, we managed yet another round of kissing, hugging, over-eating, and laughing amidst enough exposed flesh to cause sensory overload – even without the whole "being in Las Vegas" part. As is our custom – and since we’re very old it’s perfectly acceptable to have a "custom" by the way – we’re not going to simply bury you with everything at once. Over some time you’ll get a true feeling of at least our perspective on The State of The Industry, but we need to start somewhere …. So we decided to start later and today show you a truly ambitious scene from Couch Tomato Isabella instead. 1/8/08	As a technical matter we’re putting up tomorrow’s post today, since tomorrow we leave for Las Vegas for a week to attend the Adult Entertainment Expo (and the Consumer Electronics Show). Of course, when we actually leave it will be today, even though this will have gone up yesterday. Still, it’s a lot better than putting up today for day before yesterday, or even last week, as sometimes happens depending upon the goings on around these parts. If you think about it, why would we put off until tomorrow what we can do today anyway? And yesterday all our troubles seemed so far away – at least the way we remember it from years ago. … Oh, it’s Day Two on the set of Sophia with D.Minion’s usual bizarre observations and many, many pictures, by the way. 1/5/08	Well, we have to confess that somehow D.Minion snuck in some more pictures of ladders, in additon to a shot she swears is snow falling in Las Vegas. (You can decide on that one.) But she also managed to shoot over 200 pictures of scantily-clad women as she finished up AEE 2007 for your scientific analysis. Of course she also captured Kristal Summers in basically no clothing for an impromptu hotel room dalliance, so that’s always good. Basically, it’s always good to see how people change (or don’t) after a mere year in the business. We’ve always said that it’s an odd planet that we live on, this one called the XXX Business in Los Angeles.
