7/31/08	Did you ever do anything really dumb just because a good friend wanted you to? Yeah, well, this doesn’t exactly qualify as jumping off a cliff, or climbing up and painting the town water tower or anything, but we’re still putting up a story today that in good conscience we must simply encourage all of you not to read. For some undoubtedly deeply psychological reason, D.Minion has decided that we’re really all quite interested in a couple of aging domestic animals, and she has gone so far as to provide pictures (to our great shame). That said, we always make it easy for you to skip down to the bottom of an entry just by hitting the little camera icon at the top of the page, and you should definitely do that today. Once there you’ll find that we did manage to sneak in a bit of lesbian shower fun with Taren Steele and Juli Ashton — and there’s not a household pet in site. 7/29/08	Maverick has taken a break for rebuilding his tour to share his views of Day One of Erotica Los Angeles. 7/26/08	Blatantly bowing to peer pressure today, we’re going ahead and talking about “the men in porn” — basically because the women around here won’t stop whining. That said, we’re bringing in Alex Sanders and his more than able assistant for the day, Ms. Bree Olson, from back before she was an Adam & Eve contract player, of course. Have you ever noticed that just when you start thinking you’re without peer a bunch of pesky ones start annoying you? 7/20/08	Apparently, there has been grumbling among the ranks. Allegedly the senior member of the “team” here has been absent altogether too much as of late, causing the whiners to commence with their harmony. So the senior team member chips in today (with the aid of D.Minion who ranks third on that list, by the way) just to show the whipper-snappers how one should create a proper risqué post. What’s five videos, 130+ pictures, and some 5,400 words between friends, after all. We learn a bit about “Nymphos” and we learn a bit about “Lords of Porn” and those of us in the office learn that the boss eats all the Skittles when he’s here. 7/9/08	You’d think we’d learn. Every time we put up a “D.Minion at a convention” story we’re amazed at the amount of quirky information she manages to uncover — even when she tries to “tame” her approach. Then, naturally, as we go through the process of adding our minutiae (which sometimes turns out not to be all that “minute” if you want to be technical about it) the posts seem to take on a life of their own — typically a very weird life. … Well, you’ll be happy (or maybe sad) to know that we’ve done it again with Erotica LA, 2008. If you do nothing else in life, at least you should try to be consistent, we think. Consistently good occasionally happens as a bonus, but we always strive for that. It’s good to have a plan. 7/4/08	So we decided to make it Kristal Summers week. Although it seems unlikely we’d get much complaint on the matter, we did have some reasoning behind the decision, just so you know. 7/1/08	Reading a book the other day we realized that we don’t say “various and sundry” enough around here, particularly when you realize that this phrase pretty much sums up our lives. So we’re down shooting some more content and we stop for lunch. As we pull in to the lot for our favorite Valley-Local “Burger, Hot Dog, Chinese Food” joint, we notice a new bus stop bench out front advertising a “Topless Truck Wash” . Now presumably they don’t wash only topless trucks, but that’s still not overly odd. It’s LA, after all. Then we pop into a restroom inside and notice an expression of the quickly dying graffiti art written on the wall above the urinal. “Fuck the bitch, Suzie” it said, and it gave the anticipated phone number. Now other than obviously being less elegant than the traditional “For a good time” approach it didn’t really capture our attention until we read the last line reading, “Recommended by Ed.” … Don’t you just love style? Fortunately today we’re discussing neither men’s rooms nor Chinese restaurants that serve hot dogs. Instead we’ve unleashed even more “Dee on KSEX” entries, these being specifically from June 3rd and June 10th – of 2004. 12/29/07	We read an “Old English” saying the other day that seems particularly appropriate for our little group on occasion. “Drink is the curse of the land. It makes you fight with your neighbor. It makes you shoot at your landlord, and it makes you miss him.” … Now we have traveled all over the world, and we don’t think that this philosophy necessarily applies just to the Brits, even though today’s post does happen to involve a few of them rather substantially. 12/25/07	Now it wouldn’t be a typical Christmas Greeting if we didn’t have something special for the members, now would it? OK. Usually they’re attached to some really bad puns, but you’ve probably come to expect that by now. Of course this year you’re all getting a very special gift by all of us in the office … and Lon, oddly enough. And Lon didn’t even know he was getting you anything, probably. But he’s been after us for some time to pop up all of those little images on the video wall out on the free side, and we’ve finally managed to make him happy. You can now look up all those little bitty pictures and see the “full versions” along with a caption that explains it. Get yourself some eggnog, as there are 116 “pages” here, but it should make for a dandy way to spend some time after you’ve given up on your new electronics and such. 12/16/07	Having your football team only score 13 points isn’t necessarily bad – unless the opposing team happens to score 31, of course. And having all of this happen on Thursday, meaning they won’t be playing on Sunday at all really makes it worse. Of course we’ve seen the writing on the wall this year for some time and have been hoping for losses equaling better draft positions next year, but nobody seems to be listening to us about that. … So if you’re not going to listen to us either, you might as well not listen to us about Isabella Kay. 12/7/07	So we’re discussing someone who has named herself “Porn Princess Christina” today, and she’s not in the porn business. She doesn’t even intend to be, at least at this point in her young life. Still she’s a big porn fan, has lots of like-minded female friends (who bear a remarkable resemblance to an old friend of ours, actually) and she represents perhaps an updated version of the porn consumer. Of course the “Old Boys and Corporations” that primarily run this business probably won’t notice, but maybe some day they’ll become members too, and then they’ll know everything y’all do. Not to give too much away, and we’ll tell you right up front that we haven’t honestly seen the necessary sales or income reports required to be absolutely sure, but we’re thinking that The Simpsons Movie probably made more money. We don’t really have that many people working around here and everyone seems to be in the middle of one of those “Mega-Posts” that take a lot of time and organization. Consequently, if we ever make it through the queue, we’re quite certain you’ll be fascinated and intrigued … or maybe just entertained. We can live with either. Until then, we’ve taken a moment to appreciate Dee’s breasts, which if you’ve ever wondered turns out to be a dandy way to motivate people in the workplace. 7/31/07	Sometimes you just need to look at something from a different perspective to recognize the obvious. Of course usually the new “angle” on everything also brings its own myriad of confusion, but if you try to boil it down to its essence, the situation often becomes more clear. Then you can add in a little scientific analysis and that might help, and you might even consider a dash of philosophy or even a metaphysical conceit or two if you’re really brave. Very soon everything will just look even more complicated than it was before started trying to look at it clearly and so you just wing it and hope for the best. That’s what we do. 7/23/07	We’ve been working madly way behind the scenes here, and there’s a big announcement on the horizon. 7/7/07	Well, we made it through the post, but it was a weird one. Of course we can say that almost all of the time, so maybe that doesn’t mean much. Still, not all of the posts are about Erotica Los Angeles, 2007 so that’s one difference. And at first blush while all of these conventions seem pretty much the same (especially to those of us that have been to 50+ of them) they all have their own … um … uniqueness, let’s call it. Of course there seemed to be surprisingly little blushing on the show floor this year, well except from Lon and D.Minion while they were smothered on a bed by Julia Ann’s breasts right in the middle of the crowd on Saturday. 7/5/07	We’re putting on an “Innocent” front today, at least while we’re putting the final touches on the Lon/D.Minion story of Erotica LA this year. We haven’t heard from his doctors but last we saw Lon he was still gasping from rolling around on the bed with Julia Ann – which seems perfectly understandable if you think about it. So you can take a moment to ponder how this might have come about in the first place, and then you can try to figure out how these two words go together Innocence: Rebel. We figure it’s only in the world of Michael Ninn, but that’s always an OK place to be, so we’re just going to go with it. We’ve seen the pictures, though, and while “rebellious” might come to mind, we didn’t get many “innocent” vibes here. Naturally, of course, we consider this to be a very good thing.
