Back when the Old Stuff was New Stuff

1/31/04	I read in a book today that someone turns 49 years old every 7½ seconds in the United States. In the process of putting together the 2004 Adult Entertainment Expo story, I was pretty sure I was going to be one of those people. The fact that this milestone happens some 5½ years from now did not disuade me from this thought. With the tallies all in we have 23 pages, somewhere over 10,154 words, 400+ pictures, and over 60 MB of video files added … today. Next time I ask for contributions from members on a story, will somebody please just shoot me? For now, this one’s in the database, and I’m making myself one serious Jack and Ginger … I also read in a book today, “There is only one boundary that limits a dreamer, and that is the boundary that he imposes on himself.” Around here, we might add … or herself …. 1/28/04	We know that Being with Juli Ashton was the last movie that Juli ever did for VCA. We also know that Georgia’s in town next week to sign her new Ninn Worx contract and talk about her new production line. We know that Dee’s on Night Calls Radio with Juli now, and we know that our good friend Juli has launched a new free site called HeyJuli.com. We want everyone to visit her and say, “Hi.” If you know all of these things, you might as well just skip to the pictures. 1/27/04	Our good friends Julia Ann and Michael Raven scored big at the most recent AVN Awards show with Beautiful winning “Best Video Feature” and “Best Screenplay” for Wicked, “Best Actress” for Julia, and “Best Director” for Mr. Julia. Now we didn’t really have anything to do with the success of this production, but that’s never stopped us from writing a story about it anyway, and it’s not about to this time. 1/26/04	There are two major newspapers in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the way out to breakfast (one of our favorite weekend events) this past Saturday we picked up a copy of each, having granted ourselves a morning break from management, web sites, and home improvement. The headlines on one of them included, “Iraq Arms Inspector Resigns, Casts Doubt on Prewar Data;” “Kerry Showing Strength Across Board in N.H.;” “Bush Seeks 7% Boost in Military Spending;” and “U.N. to Send Team to Assess Elections in Iraq.” The other paper chose these titles to hook its readers into purchase: “Phil on Kobe: It’s Shaq’s team,” and “Kids lose their Captain Kangaroo.” We’re thinking this demonstrates a fundamental difference of approach to an arena, and when D.Minion covered Kristal on a fetish shoot, it brought the idea home. My father used to tell me regularly that, “It takes all kinds to make a world,” and like most things my father used to tell me, what he meant keeps getting clearer and clearer. 1/24/04	Who could have guessed that a nation-wide shortage of “2-Disk” DVD boxes could delay the anticipated release of Anais’ first big Feature production for Ninn Worx? Who could have guessed that mainstream films would finally catch on to the benefits of including a second disk with captivating special features and heretofore unseen insights, thereby causing the shortage? Who could have guessed that Lon would have been completely bummed out by this dastardly consequence? Guess when you’ll finally be able to see the movie trailer, and even buy your own copy if you want … NOW. 1/23/04	Throughout history there have been many, many definitions of Innocence. In 12 pages and 182 pictures, D.Minion must have covered them all. Michael Ninn and Ninn Worx called these days Pure Pink and Sweet Cherry. We simply call them FINALLY COMPLETE … We’ll take two Jack Daniels and call you in the morning. Y’all just have a good weekend plowing through this. Our best estimates are that it will take you about as long to read about the shows as it did to actually shoot them. 1/16/04	We get emails all of the time asking us if the people that contribute to this site are “real” and if “the Members’ Parties really happen.” Well, we keep telling you that truth is stranger than fiction, and today we have yet another example. For some bizarre reason, Lon wanted to come to LA and work as an intern, so he could forget about no longer having any other work to do, and so we thought, “OK. Interns are free.” (We only said the first part out loud, however.) While most of the stuff was pretty boring, he did get a chance to try his hand at photographing one of Dee’s Cam Shows. 1/15/03	Sometimes one of the best things about being a member around here has to be that you can get news before anyone else does. Our business doesn’t hit the AP Wire very often, so mass dissemination sometimes fails in even the coolest of circumstances. Speaking of mass and semen, coincidentally, we’re giving you a little peek in advance of what we think history will prove to be a very successful movie, certainly the biggest ever starred in by a certain brand new player. She would be Anais, and the movie would be In the Garden of Shadows, and if you want to understand the religious and sexual references, well you’ll just have to check out the story. 11/27/03	Being big fans of irony around here, we take particular pleasure in noting that our Thanksgiving Treat actually comes from a friend across the Atlantic, the place we’re being thankful we left. That said, it remains a wonderful present, and we wanted even non-members to be able to appreciate it. Being cheap, however, we took all the images and compressed them into one for the free side. You’ll actually be able to appreciate them more more if you look at our Maverick Appeal, we’re thinking. Oh, and we noticed a couple of mistakes too, and we’ll get him to correct them if you’re kind about letting us know. This was a hell of a lot of work, as are most things that seem easy at a glance. Maybe that’s the secret to the kind of happy and successful life you can be thankful for: Work hard, but don’t feel you have to make everyone around you aware of it. Help someone less fortunate; it’ll do wonders for your outlook on life. 11/25/03	We’re going out on a limb a bit today, as we’re giving Maverick his present a little early. In a couple of days we’ll all have a reason to be thankful for our foreign friend (Well, he’s foreign to most of us.), but in honor of all of the work that he’s put in so far we’re jumping the gun a bit. Most of you will probably already know what a kinky bunch the British are as a group, and so we thought the perfect holiday greetings sentiment would be 105 pictures of Kristal Summers in Bondage for Nina Hartley. 11/23/03	A bizarre rumor circulated through the Los Angeles paper the other day, claiming that not all people in America are football fans. See how wrong even respected newspaper like the Los Angeles Times can be? I mean, honestly, don’t they even try to check their facts before they print something so obviously ludicrous? We expected better of them. That said, however, only the really, really cool people have the NFL Direct Ticket on DirecTV, and so some you poor souls out there may have some moments when there are no football options for you today. That just makes you kind of tear up, doesn’t it? Well, we decided to be kind, and do our part for the less priviledged, and so we published yet another Ninn Worx Weekend, looking back at our lovely Georgia Adair, and the more and more omnipresent Dee. So enjoy the sets between games. As for us, we’re off to watch EVERY game today, at least for a little while. Some people are not football fans indeed! 11/15/03	Boy it’s good to see things are getting back to normal around here. Dee gets TEN for stripping; we reveal the genesis of the Dee’s relationship with KSEX, and we show off a half-dozen forgotten pictures from the bottom of a box. More noteworthy would be the fact that these photographs are of the unusually impressive Chasey Lain on her very first dance appearance ever. Oh, we also have learned that the ladies’ room apparently doesn’t generally have the “Employees Must Wash Hands” signs that men’s rooms always do, but we haven’t figured out what to think of that. We’ve also gained some insight on reptile cuisine, and sent D.Minion out fetching some worms. Boy, it’s good to see things are getting back to normal around here. 11/14/03	Having been motivated by yesterday’s interesting, but technically inferior fornication photography, we thought we’d debut a new series here (hopefully, if we can pin her down) and let you see our first “Wendy Works Weekend.” Don’t worry: We haven’t replaced the Ninn Worx (now you get the pun) variety, as they’ll return next week, but this is Wendy’s week, and we’re making sure everyone knows that. Before we begin, we thought we’d pass along some professional advice for all of you budding “Art” and “Figure” Photographers out there. It’s important to have good equipment and accessories, and it’s even more important to be able to use that equipment to its potential. However, the most important ingredient to a successful nude shoot in our opinion would be having a Devilishly Sexy model on whom to practice your wares. 11/13/03	Yesterday was Wendy’s birthday, and she had us put together a Divine present for y’all, with the help of our friends at VCA Pictures. Now, true, you’ll actually have to pay for this second present, but that would make a nice present for Wendy too, if you think about it, and if you’re patient, she’ll even autograph it for you. We call it Exemplary Moral Standards, which you’ll understand if you read about D.Minion coming to the rescue, credit card in hand, but even if you just look at the pictures, you’ll notice plenty “exemplary” here. Some journalists might be put off by the fact that the “story” and the “illustrations” have actually nothing whatsoever to do with one another, but not us. We’re fine with it. 11/1/03	We have some comforting thoughts as we begin a new month. In addition to a couple of editorials submitted by “Dear Readers,” we have a unique alarm clock method utilized by Dee on a slumbering Inari Vachs in Jamaica. All in all we have intellectual edification and a visual feast. We can’t think of a much better way to move into winter weather. Oh, and to save those of you that might have to look it up some time, a “cretin” is a person whose brain did not fully develop. This will become important later.
