9/13/07	We got quite a few notably kind emails about our Russian friends Vicca and Nikita, and most went on to compliment the Mamacitas ladies as well. Some weeks are just like that. You can go days and days without any substantive emails from members and then all of the sudden something really hits home. Well, we decided that while we’re off finishing the “real movie” and trying to figure out why dismemberment is somehow more palatable to the MPAA than an erect penis, y’all might enjoy a little more of Vicca as our own Mamacita in the interim. 9/1/07	Well, the “official” remodel of the Members’ Side of the site(s) has begun, and so far we’re just intimidating all the Super-Geeks with the sheer volume of what we’ve been doing around here for the last eight years or so. It’s good to scare Geeks, though, and besides it’s fun to have a hobby. Anyway, Bijou has been compiling various lists and databases, and such, and somehow she found that we had begun D.Minion’s story about Vicca and Nikita’s photo shoot for the “novelty” company that would eventually sever the relationship with them, but never finished it. And since we just talked about the latest “novelty” convention here, and since we’ve been on the tangent of Vicca’s recent birthday in one of the Members’ Message Board threads, we decided that today would be a good day to finish the story. Occasionally we have a rhyme behind our reason. Or is that reason behind our rhyme? … But this doesn’t rhyme – all of the time. … It’s probably best to just enjoy some new looks at some old friends here, all things considered. 12/12/06	You know how we always say that truth is stranger than fiction? Consider this, and we promise that it’s true. … We were riding in a new SUV that one of the Risqué ladies happened to have picked up recently, and we couldn’t help but noticing a vast collection of “sticky notes” plastered on the dash. “I just love this new car,” the fair lass bubbled, “that little plastic screen is the perfect place to put directions for places I’m going.” … Honestly we waited as long as we could before pointing out that she was in fact using “sticky notes with directions” to cover up the vehicle GPS system. … Sometimes in life it’s best just to sit back and enjoy it. We’re trying to start everyone off easy by not subjecting you to the feared mass of a typical D.Minion elucidation on the annual event in Las Vegas, so we figured we’d start with lil’ ol’ SteveD – a man of few words and many pictures – a man, in other words, close to the hearts of many members. So if you’re looking for Kristal Summers, Juli Ashton, Christy Canyon, Julia Ann, or anyone else that might hang out at a porn convention, well, so was Steve. 1/28/06	All in all, waking up every morning to the sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean beats the heck out of waking up to the sounds and smells of millions of automobiles. Still, if you have to hang out in Los Angeles it doesn’t hurt to hang out with Miko Tan and Eva Angelina, particularly when you can make fun of the folks from the city. Speaking of tales, just when you think you’ve heard everything in this business, you realize you’re wrong. Now I’ve been in the XXX industry for 15 years now, and even I get suprised. While on this Ninn Shoot, one of the male performers looked over to the monitors and said, “She’s too tight.” Understandably confused, the young Director looked at me and asked what to do. Naturally I gave the most obvious answer that came to mind. “Give me her phone number,” I suggested. One need always maintain perspective I’ve learned. 1/23/06	It occurs to us that some people may need something to take their mind off of fumbles, interceptions, general embarrassment and overall ickiness. In our vast experience with these feelings of sadness, we’ve found that Anais can be a dandy diversion. If, for example, you have some stunning exclusive pictures of Anais practicing her modeling on a country set, and then you have visual evidence of Anais being somewhat skilled at self-satisfaction, you might be able to avoid burning everything orange and blue in your wardrobe. 1/20/06	Sometimes the simplest things in life can make all of the difference, can’t they? Take for example a week where you get stuck doing all sorts of really un-sexy things like upgrading servers and checking php code for a new catalogue system that no one else is even going to know is there if it works right. And then say you still have like 70,000 images from the Vegas convention to go through (well, there probably aren’t that many, but there are a lot) and some of them are quite frankly just a little oogey. When you’re having a week like that, it turns out Monique Alexander can just brighten your whole day. Come to think of it, she’s always pretty much had that effect on the office. 1/15/05	Well, we’re still going through a bazillion pictures and mpegs from the recent AEE show, and we finally took a break to let everyone know we’re still alive, despite having had to listen to all of the sportcasters across the country explaining how wonderful the Indianapolis Colts are, and how sadly overrated the Denver Broncos are. Odd, that. More to the point, however, we took some time to put together a quick set of Kristal Summers hanging around the hotel room, when she wasn’t hanging around the convention. 1/9/06	Apparently while we were gone the “New Year’s” post (below) kept appearing and disappearing. Not being sure what exactly happened, we decided to blame it on Gremlins, since we don’t want to waste all of our “Blame it on D.Minion” chits this early in the year. That said, we’re trying something different, which for us generally means we’re going to end up in a place completely different from the one we imagined we’d end up when we set out, but at least we’re used to that. 1/2/06	Consider these our New Year’s Nudity Resolutions. Now these are a lot like regular New Year’s Resolutions, but they’re a lot more fun to keep. If you factor in Juli Ashton, Nikita, Vicca, and some (close, it seems) friends of theirs, you get one dandy equation that will hopefully keep y’all busy for the week we’ll be away in Las Vegas mingling, mixing, doing interviews and taking pictures … basically doing all the fun stuff Maverick doesn’t get to this year. 7/27/05	Oh, boy … Now we’ve done it. For those of you that aren’t members of both sites, Michael (over at MichaelNinn.com obviously) recently wanted us to try putting D.Minion stories about his shoots over on his site too. Now we’ve always put them here if they inolved anyone we know and love, but a silly as it sounds Mr. Ninn sometimes does shoots that don’t include any Risqué women. I know. Crazy, huh? Anyway he loved the way it looked and the response it got, so now he wants us to do them for EVERY Ninn Worx shoot. Now it may not seem like it, but it’s a lot of work to post these stories the way we do, and since The Risqué Clan represents the major focus around here, we came up with a plan. We agreed to the task on the condition that y’all could see the “other” Ninn shoot stories too, and Michael agreed (happily, we might add). So today you get to see Porn Star which, although not technically starring anyone from our group, the movie does rather heavily relay on some personalities you may be very familiar with. That’s all we’ll say. We don’t mind helping Michael, but we’re still going to be nice about it. 7/25/05	One would think that working in the XXX Industry would be a fairly good job. Now we should probably dispell some myths here before we even get started, so “bare” [sic, we know] with us as we try not to ruin too many fantasies. … Hmm … This might be too large of a topic for a “New Stuff” lead-in, so let’s just go with the Bigee Myth: Women in the Porn Industry don’t actually have sex with anyone, anywhere, at the drop of a hat, or even trousers. OK. That’s over with. Actually this works exactly like most jobs. Everything gets old if you do it often enough. Honestly, the technical production of your favorite Adult Fare, probably wasn’t nearly as romantic as you might imagine. Put in more understandable terms, if you’re married it’s not that your spouse has “lost something” nearly so much as it is that you’re just really, really used to it. So don’t feel bad. (Do something about it, but don’t just sit around feeling bad.) More on point for the rest of us, as to today’s purposes we’ve called our wonderfully illustrated insights “Down in the Dolldrums” [still sic, we know]. 7/13/05	Well we assume that figuring out what went wrong should make us feel better, but basically it just means that we have a lot of “fixing” to do. Sigh. Still, the first lost story that surfaced from technical oblivion happened to be D.Minion’s account of the same Innocence shoot that Lon had an account of … sort of. There were a couple of shoots going on at the same time, and DM (this time around) only accounted for ONE of the two while still managing to get in 280 pictures and over 6,000 words. This is one of those many, many words posts, y’all, so prepare yourselves while we go look for some more of what we lost. Don’t worry too much though: We’re only looking for lost stories. We gave up looking for our minds some time ago. Call this D.Minion’s take on “Innocence and Slutty Innocence.” Oh, and there was a tie in the voting for the thumbnail to include here, so we just used them both. They both seem rather indicative of D.Minion’s various views anyway … . 7/7/05	Sometimes Lon just says it best. He had a chance to visit one of Michael’s sets a while back, and he had a camera with him (imagine that). Now we’re really not certain about what exposure methods this particular camera utilized, but there are naked girls in the pictures, so we assume Lon had some plan in mind. We do know that Long giggled a lot after this particular trip, but we really should stop talking about this now. We wouldn’t want to Wax Lon, Wax Off, after all. Lon does a bunch of that himself.
