Back when the Old Stuff was New Stuff

1/31/04	I read in a book today that someone turns 49 years old every 7½ seconds in the United States. In the process of putting together the 2004 Adult Entertainment Expo story, I was pretty sure I was going to be one of those people. The fact that this milestone happens some 5½ years from now did not disuade me from this thought. With the tallies all in we have 23 pages, somewhere over 10,154 words, 400+ pictures, and over 60 MB of video files added … today. Next time I ask for contributions from members on a story, will somebody please just shoot me? For now, this one’s in the database, and I’m making myself one serious Jack and Ginger … I also read in a book today, “There is only one boundary that limits a dreamer, and that is the boundary that he imposes on himself.” Around here, we might add … or herself …. 1/28/04	We know that Being with Juli Ashton was the last movie that Juli ever did for VCA. We also know that Georgia’s in town next week to sign her new Ninn Worx contract and talk about her new production line. We know that Dee’s on Night Calls Radio with Juli now, and we know that our good friend Juli has launched a new free site called HeyJuli.com. We want everyone to visit her and say, “Hi.” If you know all of these things, you might as well just skip to the pictures. 1/27/04	Our good friends Julia Ann and Michael Raven scored big at the most recent AVN Awards show with Beautiful winning “Best Video Feature” and “Best Screenplay” for Wicked, “Best Actress” for Julia, and “Best Director” for Mr. Julia. Now we didn’t really have anything to do with the success of this production, but that’s never stopped us from writing a story about it anyway, and it’s not about to this time. 1/26/04	There are two major newspapers in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the way out to breakfast (one of our favorite weekend events) this past Saturday we picked up a copy of each, having granted ourselves a morning break from management, web sites, and home improvement. The headlines on one of them included, “Iraq Arms Inspector Resigns, Casts Doubt on Prewar Data;” “Kerry Showing Strength Across Board in N.H.;” “Bush Seeks 7% Boost in Military Spending;” and “U.N. to Send Team to Assess Elections in Iraq.” The other paper chose these titles to hook its readers into purchase: “Phil on Kobe: It’s Shaq’s team,” and “Kids lose their Captain Kangaroo.” We’re thinking this demonstrates a fundamental difference of approach to an arena, and when D.Minion covered Kristal on a fetish shoot, it brought the idea home. My father used to tell me regularly that, “It takes all kinds to make a world,” and like most things my father used to tell me, what he meant keeps getting clearer and clearer. 1/24/04	Who could have guessed that a nation-wide shortage of “2-Disk” DVD boxes could delay the anticipated release of Anais’ first big Feature production for Ninn Worx? Who could have guessed that mainstream films would finally catch on to the benefits of including a second disk with captivating special features and heretofore unseen insights, thereby causing the shortage? Who could have guessed that Lon would have been completely bummed out by this dastardly consequence? Guess when you’ll finally be able to see the movie trailer, and even buy your own copy if you want … NOW. 1/23/04	Throughout history there have been many, many definitions of Innocence. In 12 pages and 182 pictures, D.Minion must have covered them all. Michael Ninn and Ninn Worx called these days Pure Pink and Sweet Cherry. We simply call them FINALLY COMPLETE … We’ll take two Jack Daniels and call you in the morning. Y’all just have a good weekend plowing through this. Our best estimates are that it will take you about as long to read about the shows as it did to actually shoot them. 1/16/04	We get emails all of the time asking us if the people that contribute to this site are “real” and if “the Members’ Parties really happen.” Well, we keep telling you that truth is stranger than fiction, and today we have yet another example. For some bizarre reason, Lon wanted to come to LA and work as an intern, so he could forget about no longer having any other work to do, and so we thought, “OK. Interns are free.” (We only said the first part out loud, however.) While most of the stuff was pretty boring, he did get a chance to try his hand at photographing one of Dee’s Cam Shows. 1/15/03	Sometimes one of the best things about being a member around here has to be that you can get news before anyone else does. Our business doesn’t hit the AP Wire very often, so mass dissemination sometimes fails in even the coolest of circumstances. Speaking of mass and semen, coincidentally, we’re giving you a little peek in advance of what we think history will prove to be a very successful movie, certainly the biggest ever starred in by a certain brand new player. She would be Anais, and the movie would be In the Garden of Shadows, and if you want to understand the religious and sexual references, well you’ll just have to check out the story. 11/27/03	Being big fans of irony around here, we take particular pleasure in noting that our Thanksgiving Treat actually comes from a friend across the Atlantic, the place we’re being thankful we left. That said, it remains a wonderful present, and we wanted even non-members to be able to appreciate it. Being cheap, however, we took all the images and compressed them into one for the free side. You’ll actually be able to appreciate them more more if you look at our Maverick Appeal, we’re thinking. Oh, and we noticed a couple of mistakes too, and we’ll get him to correct them if you’re kind about letting us know. This was a hell of a lot of work, as are most things that seem easy at a glance. Maybe that’s the secret to the kind of happy and successful life you can be thankful for: Work hard, but don’t feel you have to make everyone around you aware of it. 11/25/03	We’re going out on a limb a bit today, as we’re giving Maverick his present a little early. In a couple of days we’ll all have a reason to be thankful for our foreign friend (Well, he’s foreign to most of us.), but in honor of all of the work that he’s put in so far we’re jumping the gun a bit. Most of you will probably already know what a kinky bunch the British are as a group, and so we thought the perfect holiday greetings sentiment would be 105 pictures of Kristal Summers in Bondage for Nina Hartley. 11/23/03	A bizarre rumor circulated through the Los Angeles paper the other day, claiming that not all people in America are football fans. See how wrong even respected newspaper like the Los Angeles Times can be? I mean, honestly, don’t they even try to check their facts before they print something so obviously ludicrous? We expected better of them. That said, however, only the really, really cool people have the NFL Direct Ticket on DirecTV, and so some you poor souls out there may have some moments when there are no football options for you today. That just makes you kind of tear up, doesn’t it? Well, we decided to be kind, and do our part for the less priviledged, and so we published yet another Ninn Worx Weekend, looking back at our lovely Georgia Adair, and the more and more omnipresent Dee. 11/15/03	Boy it’s good to see things are getting back to normal around here. Dee gets TEN for stripping; we reveal the genesis of the Dee’s relationship with KSEX, and we show off a half-dozen forgotten pictures from the bottom of a box. More noteworthy would be the fact that these photographs are of the unusually impressive Chasey Lain on her very first dance appearance ever. Oh, we also have learned that the ladies’ room apparently doesn’t generally have the “Employees Must Wash Hands” signs that men’s rooms always do, but we haven’t figured out what to think of that. 11/14/03	Having been motivated by yesterday’s interesting, but technically inferior fornication photography, we thought we’d debut a new series here (hopefully, if we can pin her down) and let you see our first “Wendy Works Weekend.” Don’t worry: We haven’t replaced the Ninn Worx (now you get the pun) variety, as they’ll return next week, but this is Wendy’s week, and we’re making sure everyone knows that. Before we begin, we thought we’d pass along some professional advice for all of you budding “Art” and “Figure” Photographers out there. It’s important to have good equipment and accessories, and it’s even more important to be able to use that equipment to its potential. However, the most important ingredient to a successful nude shoot in our opinion would be having a Devilishly Sexy model on whom to practice your wares. 11/13/03	Yesterday was Wendy’s birthday, and she had us put together a Divine present for y’all, with the help of our friends at VCA Pictures. We call it Exemplary Moral Standards, which you’ll understand if you read about D.Minion coming to the rescue, credit card in hand, but even if you just look at the pictures, you’ll notice plenty “exemplary” here. Some journalists might be put off by the fact that the “story” and the “illustrations” have actually nothing whatsoever to do with one another, but not us. We’re fine with it. All in all we have intellectual edification and a visual feast. We can’t think of a much better way to move into winter weather. Oh, and to save those of you that might have to look it up some time, a “cretin” is a person whose brain did not fully develop. This will become important later. 9/28/03	We hear tell that some people don’t like football. Of course we’ve heard of the Great Pumpkin and have even seen pictures of Jack-a-lopes, so we don’t really take much stock in old wives’ tales like these. Still, on the off chance that your team is having a really bad day, we thought we’d give you a diversion. We call it “Dee, diddle, diddle” … but this has nothing to do with any nursery rhyme that we ever heard. Although, if teachers looked like Dee, kids would pay a lot more attention. 9/27/03	We hate not to follow through on promises, and we’d like to welcome “autiger” back to the fold, so we’re going ahead with our post of a Photo Shoot Fun Day with Georgia Adair, Inari Vachs, and Kristal Summers. We’re thinking folks won’t mind too much if we interrupt the regularly scheduled Ninn Worx Weekend. Being able to look back on how the girls were when they started has to be one of the greatest benefits of membership here, and D.Minion comes through again. It was a day of PT Cruisers, naps in the sun, and problems with fast food. Girls flitted in; girls flitted out; girls ate out. 9/24/03	Some days you’re feeling just a little blue, and you could really use something to bring a smile to your face. Today, however, does not appear to be one of those days, although Dee happens to be wearing blue — at least for a bit. You’ll have to read the story to see how we came up with the concept, but no matter how you look at these 104 pictures, this is “One Fine Dee” … Hmm. 9/20/03	We have kind of a twist this weekend, as these photos didn’t actually come from Michael. We’re putting together promotional material, and we technically got these pictures from Georgia Adair herself. So rather than a simple “Ninn Worx Weekend” we’ve actually got a “Ninn Worx Girl Weekend” — which suits us just fine. In a blatent slam at our British Bud, though, all of these photographs are verticle … We decided to forgive the “real” photographer, however, because, well, they are naked pictures of Georgia after all. 9/19/03	We’ve completed the trilogy of stories on Wicked Pictures’ Turning Point, starring our own Kristal Summers, complete with pink wig. (And we’re pretty sure that’s the first time we’ve ever written that sentence, by the way.) What might make this a little more noteworth, however, would be remembering that we first started posting this story in October of 2001. Hey, what can we say? We get a little busy sometimes, and then we forget stuff. We’d probably be really depressed if we could remember all of the stuff we forget, but, well, it’s forgotten, so we’re fine with it …. 9/18/03	We don’t see any reason to stop with the “vacation” photos now, and Maverick has been diligently working (while on vacation, oddly enough) to bring you his account. 9/15/03	Carol and Mav are still in town, as some of you are aware. So we were explaining how much fun it can be to write up long stories for the web site, and go through thousands of pictures and video clips, so that you can weed them down to interesting and usable images. We told them how fascinating and emotionally satisfying an enterprise it can be, and explained that we were sorry that they too couldn’t experience the intellectual rush that accompanies a full-fledged report on an event as spectacular as the 2003 Members’ Party. They decided to tackle the task themselves; we decided to just give you a hint of what’s to come (while walking quickly out of the office). 9/14/03	Well, we’re back from the Members’ Party and Dee, Kristal Summers, Wendy Divine, Anais, and Angel Cassidy are recovering nicely. They should be good as new with only minimal psychotherapy and almost no (required) plastic surgery. We’ll start this way: We owe Maverick an apology: He did in fact spend the entire three days denouncing the demons of shyness. He was a winner! He was a charming and active participant, managing entirely to speak in complete sentences and look above people’s shoelaces, occasionally almost nearing the neck region. I feel like a louse for even thinking he couldn’t accomplish this goal. Mav, I’m sorry: Craig owes you beer. (Rank still has its privileges.) Now, what else did we learn? Well, Carol felt comfortable enough to participate in her first topless photo session and complete multiple rounds with various “Tight Snatches;” SteveD felt comfortable enough in the S60 Volvo, having had his fill of the “maxi-van,” and Lon still knows everything, managing all the while to make us feel as though we’re not total losers for failing to accomplish the same feat. Mike33 and Brian27 have now evolved into “Jake” and “Elwood” (more of this to follow for sure), with Newbie undergoing a metamorphosis into an amazingly positive “Dr. Yes.” (He was, in honesty, both shaken and stirred, and it’s really too bad about all the darkness and cold in his future. At least he doesn’t have to witness a Republican President’s re-election campaign.) As it turns out, impeccable authority tells us that Bert has the best hands with Latex in the Western United States; Berno can no longer look forward to his own gubernatorial run, and Craigs01 plans on recovering from his stint on the king-sized bed with the five naked and cuddly aforementioned ladies by beginning regular breathing again soon. Oh, and XXX, a confident and clever new friend, also happens to know the complete lyrics to Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive. We’re not completely sure what all of this means, save for the fact that everyone that didn’t attend the Members’ Party didn’t get to meet “Dee, Kristal Summers, Wendy Divine, Anais, and Angel Cassidy” — or understand much of what we just said — and it seems a darn shame, really … To paraphrase a master (or two) … And THAT was something completely different. Finally, thank you all. Without you, it would have been neither possible nor necessary, and it’s good to create your own paths — even the “Dead End” ones. 9/10/03	Who’s peeking out from under the stairway? Well, it’s not our Wendy, because her new house is actually a ranch style abode. On the plus side she continues her penchant for happiness and nudity, and she’s ever so excited to be, well, nude, with fortunate party goers this weekend. So check out her “old” red look, and look forward to her “new” blonde look, and generally just be happy to be out of the “Stormy Eyes” in a Home is now a House. 9/9/03	About a month ago, we showed you some pictures of Dee cavorting around D.Minion’s abode, and today we’re offering up the “artsy” shots in a blatent attempt to avoid “really stinky space fillers,” which you’ll understand if you bother to read Brother John today. Poets have compared a cello to a woman’s body; we don’t know about that completely, the women in our lives being rather thinner as a rule, but we do know that “Dee’s a Jolly Good Cello” … (Sorry about that, but it’s better than just saying “We’re really sorry your team sucked over the weekend XXX, and here are some pictures of Dee to help you forget your national humiliation.” See? We try to be nice and not even mention how truly horrible the Dolphins played this past weekend. It would be rude to rub salt in the gaping wound caused by losing on opening day to a team only in its second year of existence, so we’re not going to do it. 9/7/03	Well, we made it, although we must confess to resorting to catching “cat-naps” whenever we could over the past six days. Big Michael Ninn movies are exactly that: BIG. It’s been several years since we’ve seen Michael attempt a project like Anais’ Garden of Shadows, and we’ve decided that if he does them more often, well, we’re going to have to kill him. That said, come awards time next year (The movie will release too late for consideration at the 2004 AVN Awards show.) we will have probably forgotten about all of our aches, pains, and general physical anguish. Not only that, but we’ll still be able to look at this week’s gift from Michael, a Ninn Worx Weekend (technically) from Innocence: Pure Pink. We should go on record as not really minding catching cat-naps on porn sets anyway; it’s all about the pussy, right? 9/1/03	Message Board regulars know that we’re about to start the Adult Industry equivalent of Purgatory. Michael is combining a shoot for two movies, both of them starring Ninn Worx contract players. We’re pretty sure Bert can make this up to DM with copious beers at the Members’ Party in a couple of weeks, and we’re also pretty sure the rest of the members will thank Bert. 8/19/03	Honesty would actually prevent us from claiming that ALL of the Risqué clients over the years have turned out to be far along on the “human sanity” scale, but, hey, retrospect is for whiners anyway. So on a day when we received a phone call to tell us of the supposed lengthy incarceration ahead for one former client, we happen upon a little story from May of 2001 that focuses on a different one. However, while we’ll confess to not always picking the most rational, or even ethical, of clients EVERY time, we can say one thing with complete candor: Some may turn out to be wacky, but darned if they aren’t all beautiful. We’re glad we ran across this, and we hope you enjoy it too. It’s a wonder we can find anything at all around here sometimes. Then again, I lose my shoes at least once a day.
