8/31/09	This weekend we learned that “nothing is impossible when you have scaffolding” – which honestly has nothing whatsoever to do with traveling with porn stars, ostensibly the topic for today. On the other hand, it does seem like an interesting life philosophy, and those can come in handy. Specifically we consider the beauty of French Kissing in France today, along with a whole bunch of other philosophical muck you can feel free to ignore. 8/20/09	You know the best thing about summer interns? OK. They’re free, but do you know the other best thing about summer interns? … They’re always amazingly happy to go back and blow the dust off of all the things we’ve meant to do, oh, for about a decade or so now. And you know what? They find some truly wonderful and fun things some of the time. Of course they also find some truly bizarre things, some sadly uncomfortable things, and some things that make perfectly clear why we didn’t use them years and years ago when they were new. 8/16/09	Big cities certainly have their appeal, but there really is nothing like local news in a small town. Why just last night we learned that officials have authorized air support for fighting all the fires currently blazing in California “24-hours a day, during daylight hours” . You just can’t make this stuff up. And why are we mentioning this? Well, because we start off with classic Polish Literature today, meander through people disguised as oversized rodents, and then end up with adult stars happily seducing camera operators. When your day starts weird, you’d best just go with it. There’s too much anxiety in life already. 8/13/09	Vicca has a birthday today, and in her honor we decided to continue our celebration of Uncle Gibby’s birthday with New Anais Avenues. Well, to be 100% accurate here, Gibby has been having trouble with our new javascript system for displaying the photos, and Maverick thought it would be “wonderfully cruel” to put even more Anais material up that poor Gibby wishes he could see on his Mac. … Now if any of the rest of you seem to be having the same problem (The screen darkens, but nothing else happens when you click on a picture.), we would appreciate you letting D.Minion know. So far we’ve been unable to duplicate the problem on any operating system or browser we can find, and we can find a lot of them, actually. 8/11/09	Double, double, toil, no trouble … . And if you’re acquainted with the Bard, then you can see how one little change can really throw the whole meaning out of whack. On the upside, we did keep the meter the same, and that should count for something. … OK. So it probably doesn’t count for much, since one syllable substitutions are pretty easy, but hanging out with Dee while she’s naked certainly counts for a great deal, and sharing the day with you for even more, we’d think. 8/9/09	Traditionally one thinks of birthdays as happy occasions. Being a fan of happy occasions, then, we decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth date of our new old friend, Uncle Gibby. OK, so as a purely technical matter we’re not sure how many times now His Gibbness has celebrated this same 50th birthday, but we definitely missed the real 50th one, so we decided to just go with that. Besides, it seems a safe bet that he didn’t have Anais and Chasey Lain to help him with the original one, so we’re thinking he won’t really mind. Also, he decided to share this bit of good fortune with everyone, which demonstrates just a bit of his sterling character, and he’s not even British. It’s good to know people that know people. 8/1/09	This has been an unusual summer in that we’ve had the unanticipated pleasure of working with a very talented 19-yr-old intern, although in honesty we do spend a good bit of our time telling him he’s not allowed to make fun of his elders as he’s explaining his current geek endeavors. We also have learned that Sirius Radio has a Hip-Hop station. Who knew? On the upside we’re a lot more comfortable with music for “young people” than we used to be as one of the songs we seem to hear a lot has the title, Wetter, and includes an oft’ repeating line of, “Will you be my daddy?” … Clearly listening to songs about lonely orphans in Seattle can’t be bad for one, right? … Have any sense of how crazy today may be in the Members’ Area yet? 10/28/08	Apparently the “business” Internet connections in the U.K. don’t function the same way as the ISPs do over here in civilization. Poor Maverick has waited almost a week to get his connection back, as they keep sending someone out to “try something” and then it doesn’t work so they just promise another technician will be by in 24-48 hours. … For our part we decided to help the chap out by posting his 247 update and telling everyone about it here. This method has the distinct benefit of allowing us to say pretty much whatever we want, and he can’t even check it to defend himself. We’re off to LA for the next “super-secret” shoot, but rumor has it that we’ll at least be able to talk about it next week, so that’s a plus. First thing we’ll do when we get back this weekend will be to make corrections to protect Mav’s reputation. … Probably. It would be wrong to title this Sandie Caine is Able, right? 10/16/08	Maverick has a bit to say about Harry’s last party today, what with him being all in the party mood again with Vegas and mucho porn partying on the horizon. For our part we bring some party favors in the form of a delicate “Pink Package” to add to the festivities. That’s said, it’s still before Halloween here and before the Presidential Election, as you certainly can’t miss hearing about unless you’re living under a rock or something. Still, according to many, many television commercials, they’re even “finding the Internet” under remote rocks these days, so who knows? We do know that the candidates ought to address the resilient “truth in advertising” issue tonight, along with the more predictable “Economy” and “War” and “Ain’t this current President sucky?” comments. Thinking about Halloween, D.Minion has already begun buying candy (because she loves any excuse for sugar), and yesterday we ate an entire bag of Smarties in the office. You know that this morning not a one of us felt appreciably more intelligent at all? Fortunately, you don’t have to be really bright to know what “Pink Package” refers to. As only DM can do, when faced with the apparent contradiction, she explained simply, “But it’s Juli.” Oh. That helps. 10/3/08	You ever meet anyone that just can’t throw anything away? To these unusual creatures “old, obscure, and useless” somehow morphs in their brains into “retro, cool, and valuable,” and most of (read: sane among) us have no idea how this happens. Well, D.Minion has been a bit ill lately, giving her an unusual amount of time wandering the recesses of her … um … unique abode. Understanding that this place boasts overflowing shelves of Sonny and Cher dolls, you can see that it always frightens us when DM spends too much time there. The brain can only take so much 70’s influence before it starts rebelling, at least that’s our theory. Now consider the “super-secret extra collection” of risqué memorabilia she unearthed recently, and you have some idea of what you’re in for today. It won’t make anything easier to “grok” (since we’re using retro terms), but sometimes just trying to figure out how you got to a place can help. At least you can try to avoid the problem in the future. For our part we’ve issued an official memo forbidding D.Minion from ever getting sick again. 5/30/08	We love summer time around here. It brings wonderful experiences each and every year. … Long days and warm evenings. Homemade ice cream. Picnics. Vacations, short and long. Consequently, suddenly he’s now got all kind of formats over there at 247AdultStars. Now you need to realize that he has the benefit of being able to share with us the first legitimate shower adventures of the delectable Cate Harrington, who apparently had a soiled “personal toy” because she decided it needed a shower too. 5/5/08	It’s “Cinco De Mayo” which technically means “the fifth of May” but apparently it’s a reason to celebrate. Now according to D.Minion it’s sort of a Mexican Independence Day, “but it really isn’t” … and that just goes to show that former teachers can be annoyingly precise. Still, it did seem a reason to celebrate some degree of multi-cultural happiness, not that we’ve ever really needed much of a reason to do that. Actually any reason to contact Lorraine Sisco (She’s German, you know.) pretty much works for us and we’re perfectly willing to admit that. 12/29/07	We read an “Old English” saying the other day that seems particularly appropriate for our little group on occasion. “Drink is the curse of the land. It makes you fight with your neighbor. It makes you shoot at your landlord, and it makes you miss him.” … Now we have traveled all over the world, and we don’t think that this philosophy necessarily applies just to the Brits, even though today’s post does happen to involve a few of them rather substantially. 12/25/07	Now it wouldn’t be a typical Christmas Greeting if we didn’t have something special for the members, now would it? OK. Usually they’re attached to some really bad puns, but you’ve probably come to expect that by now. Of course this year you’re all getting a very special gift by all of us in the office … and Lon, oddly enough. And Lon didn’t even know he was getting you anything, probably. But he’s been after us for some time to pop up all of those little images on the video wall out on the free side, and we’ve finally managed to make him happy. You can now look up all those little bitty pictures and see the “full versions” along with a caption that explains it. Get yourself some eggnog, as there are 116 “pages” here, but it should make for a dandy way to spend some time after you’ve given up on your new electronics and such. 12/16/07	Having your football team only score 13 points isn’t necessarily bad – unless the opposing team happens to score 31, of course. 12/7/07	So we’re discussing someone who has named herself “Porn Princess Christina” today, and she’s not in the porn business. She doesn’t even intend to be, at least at this point in her young life. Still she’s a big porn fan, has lots of like-minded female friends (who bear a remarkable resemblance to an old friend of ours, actually) and she represents perhaps an updated version of the porn consumer. Of course the “Old Boys and Corporations” that primarily run this business probably won’t notice, but maybe some day they’ll become members too, and then they’ll know everything y’all do.
