6/30/09	Maverick has won the intra-office race to post the debut report on Erotica LA this year, or at least the opening volley. Our posting queue still seems to be surviving in a bit of a content food processor, though, so as a favor to some of the people working diligently on this side of “the pond” we have created a special page with a not-so-subtle hint as to what’s in store for mid-summer meditation around here. As for Mav, there seems to be a rather prominent theme surrounding British Baked Beans amidst the bevy of porn performers, probably proving once and for all that we’re potentially a bad influence. 6/27/09	Part of the interest in the adult entertainment world comes from the way that even though it can get a bit plodding, just like any job, every once in awhile things just come up in this world, and you have to make adjustments to your original plan. Even forgetting that whole “Man plans. God laughs.” philosophy for the moment, sometimes you really do get a chance to do something just a little different, and so you put whatever plan you used to have on hold for a minute. When such diversions involve Tori Welles, Ginger Lynn, and Christy Canyon, well, that brings up a whole other range of unique aspects to the XXX life. For centuries the prevailing intellectual theory seems to have been that history repeats itself, what with there being “no new things under the sun … yada, yada, yada” — although we will admit that intellectual theory sometimes resembles a lot more the latter than the former. 6/23/09	How long has it been since we’ve had a leader that seems to have some actual grasp of real world knowledge? Now we’d be among the (potentially few) that would say that any successful politician must possess a level of intelligence, but we feel obligated to point out that a substantial chasm separates “smart” from “quick” on the mental scale. Those of you that were able to see President Obama’s press conference today got a chance to see one individual with both cerebral characteristics, and gosh but that’s fun. … Fortunately for all of you, we’ll leave the analysis to the plethora of newscasters that assume we all need the guidance and open instead our coverage of the just completed Erotica Los Angeles convention with our traditional “Two Days in Two Minutes” video presentation, along with a very few editorial ruminations. … All in all, even really, really smart people sometimes aren’t as interesting as a vast collection of scantily-clad women. 6/10/09	Before Maverick set out for his next bit of travel to sunny Southern California he felt it important to polish a bit of 247AdultStars so that it would gleam in his absence as well. He decided that adding a “Dirty Bedroom Solo” of Cate Harrington would be quite the appropriate way to decorate this time around, and having seen the video clips, we really would find it difficult to disagree. In a manner of attempting a truly symbiotic assessment here, odds are pretty good that this particular polish may have several people polishing various body parts of a decidedly more personal interest. When Sting retires, will he become Stung? … Now Lon does not address this issue in his Part One coverage of the AEE this year, but seeing as how we’re all getting ready to head out to the next convention, we figured we should at least try to wrap up the last convention before we get hopelessly behind. We wouldn’t want these convention stories to pile up like we’ve got Dee at KSEX stories, after all. 2/28/09	Well, we did warn you that the 2009 Adult Entertainment Expo reports were about upon us, so at least we’re not hitting you completely out of the blue here. That said, Uncle Gibby has thoughtfully begun to burst the dam with only a trickle from Day One today. He had grander plans, truth be told, but as it turns out creating projects for your friends and creating projects for web publication happen to be completely different animals. As does our old buddy Georgia Adair, though, Gibby does hail from the often bitterly cold state of Wisconsin, and we can tell you that the “frozen brain” syndrome at least comes up in the conversation when you’re enquiring about rationale, née excuse, in these sorts of situations. Still, he has a fine sense of adventure (or else he would have run from the rest of us screaming in terror, like most sane people do) and he has an excellent serendipitous flair when it comes to providing opportunity for a dazzling intermission. After seeing his words in print here, you should know, odds are good that Gibby will then set about wondering why he couldn’t accidentally get this beautiful women in his home instead of finding himself watching her from it. And that’s what we started to do again this year. … Then, well, everybody got to talking and things changed. …Consequently we still have a holiday theme here, but we ended up with more of a serious discussion (which you can feel perfectly free to skip, also as usual). 5/30/08	We love summer time around here. It brings wonderful experiences each and every year. … Long days and warm evenings. Homemade ice cream. Picnics. Vacations, short and long. Consequently, suddenly he’s now got all kind of formats over there at 247AdultStars. Now you need to realize that he has the benefit of being able to share with us the first legitimate shower adventures of the delectable Cate Harrington, who apparently had a soiled “personal toy” because she decided it needed a shower too. 5/5/08	It’s “Cinco De Mayo” which technically means “the fifth of May” but apparently it’s a reason to celebrate. Now according to D.Minion it’s sort of a Mexican Independence Day, “but it really isn’t” … and that just goes to show that former teachers can be annoyingly precise. Still, it did seem a reason to celebrate some degree of multi-cultural happiness, not that we’ve ever really needed much of a reason to do that. Actually any reason to contact Lorraine Sisco (She’s German, you know.) pretty much works for us and we’re perfectly willing to admit that.
