6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. 6/24/05	Ah, vacation … And that’s all we have to say here on the subject, but if you’re interested, you can read way more than you want to on the subject inside. Of course if you plan on taking your weekend a little easy and you’d just rather look at a some lost shots of Shayla LaVeaux, Juli Ashton, Vicca, Nikita, and Taren Steele, and then 150 shots of some view on the horizon, Justine Joli, well then that’s OK too. We’re really trying to get into the wedding spirit here, by the way. We have something old, something new, something borrowed … but, darn it, we just can’t be blue about it. 6/17/05	It seemed appropriate that we end our first “Official Juli Ashton Week” as we began it — with a D.Minion recap of Night Calls, this time from May of 2005. Not only does it bring us up to date on Juli’s wonderful television program, but it also serves on the eve of a special day for a very special friend. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight. Now you tell me anyone else in the history of adult entertainment that can say that a network has done that for them, and then we can go ahead and discuss vague concepts like “influence” and Fame. 6/15/05	Just when you think you know everything … right? Well, the Early Ashton exposé from five days ago apparently pleased a lot of folks, and we’re thinking it’s not because of all of the pithy captioning work. Whatever the case, you asked for it, and so you get some more Juli today. 6/13/05	Well, the first Official Juli Ashton Week continues today with “Essentially” how the serious fame and money began. Like most successful people, we painstakingly mapped out her plan. We were careful when we said “No” to opportunity, and even more careful when we said “Yes.” We hoped. We dreamed. We cajoled and conspired. We remained firm in our resolve. … And then something completely out of our control and even more unexpected happened, and that’s what worked. 6/10/05	We’ve been thinking a lot about this “special week” coming up, so we decided to spend a little time with our friend. She’s really exemplary in a number of ways, but we can’t really count that high, as we keep getting distracted. To take matters gently at the first, we’re offering up Origins of Ashton as sort of a primer on one of the truly bright adult stars of all time. Granted Jenna’s undoubtedly a “bigger” name, but Jenna has also had many, many people and a big ol’ cache of bucks behind her rise in the world. 6/2/05	Today we have a Hard Drive of a different kind, although the lovely Georgia Adair may create a more typical kind of hardness in many of us. About the time we were first negotiating with Michael Ninn for Georgia, she was in town killing time at our friend Danni Ashe’s place. D.Minion was there, camera and instruction book in hand. 6/30/02	In honor of her intrepid return to her Message Board, we’ve decided to show off the earliest pictures we have of the young beauty, Georgia. Most of you probably know she’s featured in a couple of scenes in Basically Becca, and you can see, even as early as a couple of years ago, just what a special affinity she has for the camera. We’re pretty sure that’s what Juli and Becca were discussing in the few shots we snuck in and shot of them too. This “interaction” was actually not for any video release, but seemed to involve other types of release, come to think of it. 6/27/02	We seem to be on a Juli roll here, but in the grand scheme, that seems like a very good thing. We look this time at a snippet of Essentially Juli: Forbidden, and we find out that even the best “laid plans” (sorry: couldn’t resist) of the esteemed Ms. Ashton sometimes develop of their own accord. 6/26/02	Wow! We found some really old pictures of Juli, and Taren Steele, and Serenity. These were from the very first scene shot for the very first Essentially Juli. We’d go on and on about how great they are, and what fond memories they brought back, but we’re just to choked up with emotion. 6/24/02	In an atypical caving of conscious, we’ve been won over by office lobbying efforts to post some of the more “timely” stories as they’re, well, timely. D.Minion been after us to sort of bop back and forth between past and present for some time, but Dee finally won us over. For those of you that have seen the office cam shows, you’ll know just how persuasive Dee can be. Wendy’s got a new “do” and D.Minion was on set with her (and, coincidentally, Dee) just last month. Now you can read about Naked Hollywood, Wendy-style, and see her new hair too. Next task is to get Wendy over to the office to show us more of her do’s and don’ts, as they are. 6/21/02	Well, we have inane country music references. We have rare sitings of both D.Minion and some Lucky fellow. We have Kristal as a blonde, Dee as a sex object, and Devinn as her typical Diva. What’s most important, though, seems to be what we don’t have: We don’t have even one f*king picture of a koala. Good to see things are back to their usual abnormal state around here. 6/9/02 — 6/19/02	As a kind of change of pace, and because a lot of us are in Jamaica, the skeleton crew (as we affectionately call them) has the task of posting the Epic that was the Australia trip. D.Minion calls it “Going Down (under) with Devinn Lane and Sydnee Steele.” We call it bizarre to say the least. We begin with a picture of a piece of furniture and an mpeg of water going down a drain — complete with sound. (So be warned.) Then it gets weird. 6/3/02	Juli drops (by) and gives us 50! There’s been such a surge in Buried Treasure sales lately that we thought we’d put up some more stills from the scenes, as kind of a bonus for those that have seen the video. Even if you haven’t seen the video, these are some interesting tales. In addition to the 50 pictures, we have also, true to form, provided keen insight and poignant recollection–and we talk about puppies–and God. What else would you expect?
