3/31/15	Goodness but time can get away with a situation around here. In doing just a tiny bit of looking back to “finish” a day in the box cover lives of Juli Ashton and Dee, we were more than a bit shocked to find out that we began the tale clear back in early January. Truth be told, not that much surprises us when it comes to the adult industry anymore, but looking at the same “assets” with two different mindsets can lead to some interesting results. When we started the Essentially Dee Box Cover Day we were thinking, “Dang! We gotta get ready for the convention!” whereas now we have been mainly thinking, “Dang! 9/30/10	You know how many modern cars have CD changers built into them these days, and most of those devices have six “slots” into which you may insert your various personal music selections? … Right. … So in one particular car this week we found the following options available to us: Mötly Crüe, Bobby Darin, Aretha Franklin, Ringo Starr, Human League, and The Black Crowes. Now you might expect someone with such diverse, and potentially eclectic (Let’s be honest.), music tastes to carry these “unusual” predilictions into her everyday day life, and Shayla LaVeaux certainly doesn’t disappoint today as she gives it “Ye Olde College Try” for our entertainment. 9/27/10	What if you make moccasins out of a water moccasin? Is that redundant? Well while our (significantly less than, truth be told) Illustrious Leader was off contemplating important issues such as this over the weekend, those less philosophically inclined were left behind to launch the proper celebration of Dear Maverick’s Birthday (as you can see below, actually). When His Pickiness returned, it seems that there were some very slight – hardly worth mentioning, really – variances between what happened and what was supposed to happen. Gee. Some people have no sense of humor about some things, like spending hours and hours working on a new video display method that we sort of … well … forgot. And then there was something about a whole bunch of pictures that sort of slipped through the cracks too. Oops. … Hey, if we didn’t have to spend so much time pondering the appropriate animal skins with which to make comfortable footwear, we’d have probably remembered. It’s better now, though. Whew. 9/25/10	Birthdays generally fall in the “happy occasion” category for most of us, and when Maverick has one we get to share his gift with everyone. On the upside (even for the U.K. folks out there), Georgia Adair illustrates today, so everyone can pretty much ignore the “weird” as Mav puts it. There’s a saying about a pot and a kettle, right? 9/18/10	Peeking at partying porn stars makes for a decidedly happy day, and Maverick has once again provided us just such an opportunity. Now we can’t say with certainty that the fact that these happen to be U.K. porn stars makes it even more fun, but it sure seems to. 9/13/10	Once again we’ve evidence of how unnecessarily complicated women can be. A men’s magazine would say simply: “How Do You Get What You Really Want in Bed? Pay for It.” … See? … Sometimes perspective can make all the difference, and if D.Minion’s coverage of Exxxotica LA this summer teaches us nothing else, it should teach us that. On the other hand, any excuse for scantily-clad ladies always makes us happy – even the overly complicated women around here. 9/10/10	We’re bringing in a little Brando today. OK. So technically we’re just bringing in the name, but we use it in the context of a really famous movie. 9/8/10	Continuing our traditional celebration of really funny t-shirts, we saw one at a ridiculously fancy store in L.A. this week that said, “It’s not all about winning or losing. Well, OK. 1/20/09	So almost all of us, on this inauguration day, are doing our darndest to honestly believe, "Yes. We. Can." … And, of course, St. Louis Rams fans are trying to come to grips with the fact that the quarterback they dumped for being too old has taken a different team to the Super Bowl this year. Thus we felt obligated to at least mention recent NFL news, and then completely ignore political current events. (Because that’s how we are.) We do have some atypical views of the recent AEE show decorations, and some perhaps not atypical exactly, but certainly entertaining, adult video activity. 1/12/09	As many of you probably know already, D.Minion chose to lie around eating bon-bons while watching old Beverly Hillbillies episodes while the rest of us headed off to Las Vegas for days and days of grueling exchanges with scantily-clad porn stars. (Alright, that’s not really the reason DM didn’t go with us this year, but it made for a dandy visual, didn’t it?) … Well, we happened to run in to our old friend Vicca in a casino while we were there, and it seemed a fine opportunity to call up Ms. Minion and say something subtle like, "Hey, do you think you might be able to pull some archived Vicca content we haven’t used while you’re busy letting your nails dry?" (Alright (again), while we did actually say that, we remain too stunned by DM’s response to repeat it here.) … D.Minion did uncover some wonderful new photo sets for everyone though, and, just for the record, we’re pretty sure some of those suggestions she had do in fact constitute biological impossibilities, no matter how colorful the descriptions. By the way, we did ask Vicca if she wanted to go to the convention and attend the AVN Awards show with us for old times’ sake. She said, "Um. No, thank you." And then she laughed for altogether too long a period of time it seemed to us. … At least it sounds much nicer being turned down with a Russian accent. We miss Vicca, even if she can be mean … . 1/7/09	Well it’s been rather hectic getting ready for this year’s convention, since D.Minion won’t be able to attend this time around. Turns out she does a lot of work at these gatherings, which means Maverick, and Lon, and SteveD have a lot of slack to pick up. Anxious to assume their new roles, Mav and Lon are already in Las Vegas, but Mav took time to show off his interview techniques via a topless trip with Kristal Summers. We were going to point out the irony of using D.Minion’s interview as Mav sets out to show his own skills in the area, but as far as we can tell, irony gets wasted on the Brits. 12/27/08	If you’ve been around here awhile, you know that we generally do an ostensibly festive, and usually frivolous post for Christmas Day. And that’s what we started to do again this year. … Then, well, everybody got to talking and things changed. …Consequently we still have a holiday theme here, but we ended up with more of a serious discussion (which you can feel perfectly free to skip, also as usual). Bottom line, we decided to wait a couple days to deliver you package this year, but even if you skip all the words in the Members’ Area, you can see why Taren Steele and Vicca made for a perfect present: SILVER BELLES. A few hours later we somehow ended up on the legal/moral/philosophical conundrums that the potential for actual human cloning represents. … Such is the life in a day of risqué.
