10/31/09	A grand thing about operating an adult web site comes up on this particular date every year. You see, we don’t have much trouble coming up with celebratory treats; in fact, we rather enjoy it. (And if you’re wondering we certainly don’t know anything about anyone turning tricks, because that would be wrong after all.) So when Maverick had an idea this year, and the idea included Juli Ashton, well, it sounded like an excellent plan. The supporting cast of Madison and Mackenzie seemed willing, and we got an excuse to flavor the event (so to speak) with Capri Anderson again — always a good time. So how far off track could this go? Yeah, well, it seems like maybe holidays are different in Europe. Still, it’s another festive day in our strange lives. 10/28/09	You don’t need to spend much time with the Members Section before you figure out that things tend to go in waves around here for some reason. (The writer had originally termed this going “in spurts” when he submitted the project, but upon proofing the text that seemed like maybe a poor way to describe something on an adult site — at least for a post that only has women in it.) We’ve been doing a good bit of Dee lately (not the fun way that sounds, sadly, though), but for whatever reason the stories have all been the “hanging around in life” sorts and not the “dressed up (or not) for work as a porn star” sorts. At the risk of too much Dee, we decided to go ahead with a collection of those “gussied-up” shots this time around. 10/26/09	Odds seem pretty good that most of you didn’t spend the weekend explaining to co-workers that a bye week in the NFL does not mean that a team takes a week off so that the players can spend a romantic weekend away together. Sigh. … Less complicated to understand, apparently, would be another installment of Dee at KSEX, although this time we’re throwing in a bonus segment of Dee in more traditional aspects of everyday life — nurturing a new puppy, demonstrating why it’s good to keep the water circulating in your swimming pool, and bopping naked around the office. 10/22/09	Age turns out to be one of those things that just remains difficult to wrap your head around. As the football savvy in the office kept trying to explain how young (the Denver Broncos new) coach Josh McDaniels happens to be to D.Minion, she just didn’t seem to really comprehend the concept. “He’s seven years younger than Julia Ann,” we explained, and then our fair Minion understood. Both DM and Lon attended Julia’s Party for 40 (years, not people) and since then D.Minion has been sleeping and Lon has been smiling. Maybe it’s a testosterone thing. 10/19/09	As a public service to those of you out there that may be Buccaneers, or Rams, or (Heaven Forbid) Tennessee Titans fans, and thus may not want to think about football too much today, we thought we’d give you a nice long typical “D.Minion on Set with the Allegedly Innocent” exercise. 10/12/09	For some people, talking the talk and walking the walk seem to be disjointed concepts at best. Actually, when it comes to sex, people generally don’t talk the talk at all, and most of us would probably remain happier if we didn’t really know how “well” we walk the walk. Normal people aside, though, Jana Jordan seems to be able to both quite well, with the predictable results we’re guessing. 10/10/09	It seemed logical that after showing off some Pretty in Pink we ought reasonably demonstrate a Beautiful in Blue segment. After all, we’re nothing around here if not colorful. True, you might be able to find those that would characterize our approach as more dubious and erratic than colorful, but some people tend toward the very narrow-minded. Have you noticed? Besides, have you ever tried to find whimsy in even a very impressive black and white image? You can find drama, certainly, but fun requires a full spectrum view, which we clearly provide around here. And we needn’t exactly tell you who’s on tap to titillate today, we just have to say that we have Georgia on our Mind, and we’re not even thinking about Willie Nelson. Works for us. 10/7/09	Two Interns actually showed up to work most of the summer this year, but sadly they’ve both now had to return to school, presumably to learn how to do much more important things than we do around here. Were we better people, we’d take this opportunity to wish them well, thank them for their efforts, and assure them that we’d keep a spot open for them next year, due (no doubt) to their sterling character and exceptional skills. Now while all of that certainly qualifies as true, we are not “better people” per se, so we’re just jumping in with Juli, Kristal, and Dee — and demonstrating definitively what book-learning can cost one. 10/3/09	Did you hear the one about the newlyweds that forgot the difference between vaseline and putty? … Their windows fell out. … That old joke, much like all of life, really comes down to one’s perspective and how you approach any situation. If you want to know the truth, that single issue really helps keep the site fun to work on, and the people in the adult industry a unique pleasure to experience. Also, having spent some significant time last month visiting with an old friend, it seemed a good time to introduce everyone to a new one. 8/31/09	This weekend we learned that “nothing is impossible when you have scaffolding” – which honestly has nothing whatsoever to do with traveling with porn stars, ostensibly the topic for today. On the other hand, it does seem like an interesting life philosophy, and those can come in handy. Specifically we consider the beauty of French Kissing in France today, along with a whole bunch of other philosophical muck you can feel free to ignore. 8/20/09	You know the best thing about summer interns? OK. They’re free, but do you know the other best thing about summer interns? … They’re always amazingly happy to go back and blow the dust off of all the things we’ve meant to do, oh, for about a decade or so now. And you know what? They find some truly wonderful and fun things some of the time. Of course they also find some truly bizarre things, some sadly uncomfortable things, and some things that make perfectly clear why we didn’t use them years and years ago when they were new. 8/16/09	Big cities certainly have their appeal, but there really is nothing like local news in a small town. Why just last night we learned that officials have authorized air support for fighting all the fires currently blazing in California “24-hours a day, during daylight hours” . You just can’t make this stuff up. And why are we mentioning this? Well, because we start off with classic Polish Literature today, meander through people disguised as oversized rodents, and then end up with adult stars happily seducing camera operators. 8/13/09	Vicca has a birthday today, and in her honor we decided to continue our celebration of Uncle Gibby’s birthday with New Anais Avenues. Well, to be 100% accurate here, Gibby has been having trouble with our new javascript system for displaying the photos, and Maverick thought it would be “wonderfully cruel” to put even more Anais material up that poor Gibby wishes he could see on his Mac. … Now if any of the rest of you seem to be having the same problem (The screen darkens, but nothing else happens when you click on a picture.), we would appreciate you letting D.Minion know. So far we’ve been unable to duplicate the problem on any operating system or browser we can find, and we can find a lot of them, actually. 8/11/09	Double, double, toil, no trouble … . And if you’re acquainted with the Bard, then you can see how one little change can really throw the whole meaning out of whack. On the upside, we did keep the meter the same, and that should count for something. … OK. So it probably doesn’t count for much, since one syllable substitutions are pretty easy, but hanging out with Dee while she’s naked certainly counts for a great deal, and sharing the day with you for even more, we’d think. 8/9/09	Traditionally one thinks of birthdays as happy occasions. Being a fan of happy occasions, then, we decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth date of our new old friend, Uncle Gibby. OK, so as a purely technical matter we’re not sure how many times now His Gibbness has celebrated this same 50th birthday, but we definitely missed the real 50th one, so we decided to just go with that. Besides, it seems a safe bet that he didn’t have Anais and Chasey Lain to help him with the original one, so we’re thinking he won’t really mind. Also, he decided to share this bit of good fortune with everyone, which demonstrates just a bit of his sterling character, and he’s not even British. It’s good to know people that know people. 8/1/09	This has been an unusual summer in that we’ve had the unanticipated pleasure of working with a very talented 19-yr-old intern, although in honesty we do spend a good bit of our time telling him he’s not allowed to make fun of his elders as he’s explaining his current geek endeavors. We also have learned that Sirius Radio has a Hip-Hop station. Who knew? On the upside we’re a lot more comfortable with music for “young people” than we used to be as one of the songs we seem to hear a lot has the title, Wetter, and includes an oft’ repeating line of, “Will you be my daddy?” … Clearly listening to songs about lonely orphans in Seattle can’t be bad for one, right? … Have any sense of how crazy today may be in the Members’ Area yet? 7/27/09	Apparently over there in London an “ISP” doesn’t seem to involve anything that actually looks like “Service” – at least if Maverick’s experiences lately has been any indication. 7/20/09	Sometimes you simply need to do things for fun. Let’s face it: In 100 years, we’ll all be dead. Consequently, our leaders (more accurately: those that have been around here the longest) set out this past week to track down Tenaya. Hey, if you’re going to do fun things, they might as well involve a Penthouse Pet if you can work that into the equation. So as you pop on inside and see what we discovered, you can be prepared to smile with the lass once again … and you can also be glad we decided against using our first inclination of the “stop and smell the roses” approach here. 7/9/09	Dear Maverick finishes up his Slanted by (Lexi) Love review of the big Los Angeles convention this year, which turned out to have the distinct advantage of taking place a couple of weeks before Michael Jackson decided to die. Otherwise, parking down at the convention center would have been a real pain, and we’d have ended up walking as much as if Lon would have been in charge. Still it is always sad when people leave this plain, and as great a talent as Michael Jackson undoubtedly was, we still mostly feel sorry for Farrah Fawcett. She spent the bulk of her career struggling to get top billing, and the poor thing didn’t even get it when she died. God has a wicked sense of humor sometimes.
