Whether masks, no masks, happy parents, angry parents, governors stupid or smart, you put young people together for a short amount of time, and Love Letters will begin to flow. Passed amongst friends, slipped into lockers, slid under dorm room doors, whatever, biological imperative trumps — pardon the expression — even heated politics. | 9/4/21 |  Planning has been all but impossible as anyone — well, basically alive and old enough to go outside on their own — can tell you. Back in July we were absolutely certain we’d be trekking to Las Vegas in January for the big AVN convention (the last one?). Then, gosh, this seems pretty hard to explain without getting stuck in the political muck of who’s doing or not doing what that made sailing smoothly into herd immunity a virtual certainty. So without going there, we can admit that we have found ourselves back in the world of virtual meetings, if that tells you anything. So we’re still thinking about the AEE in January, but we’re also thinking about not ending up infected by unwashed masses in an unnaturally cramped room too. (Hey, there’s a lot of drool at a porn convention.) So while we continue to think and see what happens, we thought we would revisit via remaster a particularly memorable trip from a few years ago. | 9/2/21 |  We all enjoy holidays, if not for their underlying reason for existence so much as the fact that most of us do not have to work, even though we still get paid. There are other more personal dates in a year, though, that fall into the “Personal Holiday” category. For whatever reason, when these days roll around annually, it makes us smile, if not necessarily spend a bunch of money on things that make pretty explosions in the nighttime sky. Today would be one of those days for the Risqué Commune actually, even though “work” may not be the most accurate description of what we do around here. As for the millions of not working but still getting paid people out there, well, that ends this weekend. Member requests happen weirdly, pretty much all the time. Well into our “remastering” project(s) across the entire Risqué Commune, we got favorite requests for both Risqué and Shayla — both from July of 2011 — this week. Could be that coming out of the pandemic restrictions people are thinking about a time when Republicans were sure Obama would soon stop annoying them — which was wrong — and Trump was safely ignored as a fake leader on a C-List celebrity reality tv show where he could not bother anyone — which would not last. … Whatever the case, 
Sometimes when the mood strikes a couple from just the right direction, they decide they really need to do it right away — and quickly. Oddly enough, the adult movies business does tend to highlight these relatively rare instances quite frequently. It could have something to do with the movies being intended to represent fantasy and not reality, but honestly it probably has more to do with how much money it costs to spend time talking in adult movies. Economic pressure tends to boil down all decisions to a harsh ranking of priorities, so maybe the producers here were using their decisions as a metaphor for the modern human condition. Or maybe it was just, y’know, money. Whatever the case, 
Here we are half way through May, and we have completely failed to honor National Nurses Week. We also completely skipped International Firefighters’ Day. Considering the overtime these two groups have been putting in since the last President suggested injecting bleach might be a grand way of stopping this annoying little nothing-to-worry-about virus, our oversight pains us.

Well this has been particularly exciting, even for the chaos that normally surrounds a U.S. Presidential Election. Both sides always think the other misguided and lacking in the prioritization proper for whatever issues seem important at the time.
