That said, even in really fun jobs, not every day can be ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. Regardless of our chosen career, most of us have at one point or another in our lives suddenly realized the weight of some choice we have made, and nobody has ever thought, “Oh, great! More weight!” … Still, one needs to view life on balance, and given that perspective, it’s probably a lot better to look like Gemma Massey than not. One has always needed to be a bit careful when throwing terms around like Girly Thoughts — presumably as compared to Boyly ones, we suppose. Aside from the blatant sexism in the concept, it does make it seem like you actually believe that some “thoughts” my be limited to certain sexes. Honestly, beyond “wow am I glad I can pee standing up,” we’re not seeing a lot of outlier thoughts in the All Humans category. Of course at least this author grew up in a time when there were only two genders and you had to just stick with what you got, much like your family. Context makes a good deal of difference in life. For example, should you have very few calendar years under your belt, you might be a little squirt.
