Those attempting a parody in theory have a little tighter framework within which to work, though, seeing as how the original show(s) released long ago, presumably with some success or else the whole reason behind a parody sort of fails before it begins. That said, in the adult world directors have to make concessions to accuracy for very different reasons than those helming mainstream movies, since in regular movies stars can generally just pretend to like each other if they must.
