6/29/04	Somehow it seems fitting that one of our more colorful members can tie in a very human experience, wisdom from Juli Ashton, and a new way to look at Michael Ninn. One thing about Brother John, he’s not the type of person about whom people have no opinion. Basically, that pretty much sums up our life philosophy around here. My favorite uncle used to wear a baseball cap that said, “Let’s do something, even if it’s wrong.” After all, what if you died, and nobody noticed? That would suck … which will explain our photo selection, by the way. (This assuming you read and not just look at the 160 pictures. Right?) 6/21/04	Well, Georgia and Anais have headed off to their distant homes, as have interns Mr. Lon and Mr. Maverick. Consequently, we’re taking it out on you by posting Mav’s account covering Day Two of Becoming Georgia Adair: Self Portrait. We feel just awful about it, we really do, but think of this final installment like going to the dentist: No one really likes it, but you have to do it some time … (Besides, it’s easier to make fun of people when they’re up at 35,000 feet flying 500 mph away from you. 6/19/04	Wendy’s lingerie items have been earning some note lately, which makes a great deal of sense when you look at them. But as much as we like looking at pictures of Wendy in lingerie, it still doesn’t compare to actually seeing Wendy in person. Sadly, we’re not able to do that for this round of LA Erotica, but while the gang’s all roaming the room, compiling God knows what all, those of us not actually attending this year decided to remind everyone what a visually compelling couple Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson make. We found a D.Minion story validating the theory, and we found 75 pictures to go along with it. If you can’t go to the convention, this makes for a nice way to forget your misery. The Los Angeles Convention Center is big, but it’s not that big. Not everyone can attend, so we figure we’ll have lots of company in our misery. We love that. 6/16/04	I’ve been using “computers” since we stored data on cassette tapes. I remember when we thought a Ten Megabyte hard drive was just ridiculous. No one could ever use that much storage space. The “new” 3-1/4” floppies were almost as good as sliced bread. I know something about computers. But D.Minion can do things with electonics that baffle even folks a lot smarter than I am. She gets error messages that I’m pretty sure Microsoft just put in as a joke — knowing no one would really ever do what it would take to get that message. Why is this important? Because in today’s Night Calls Report, D.Minion has done some truly amazing things with her digital camera, although she claims she has no idea how. It doesn’t really matter, because Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath (and guests) look good, no matter how you look at them. 6/15/04	Those of you that have been looking for more Porno Manager Lessons, you’ll be quite happy today. 6/11/04	Becoming somewhat typical in her fashion, today D.Minion shows us a couple of completely unexplained photographs of cars in a parking lot, and one of what looks like an old hand-lettered piece of paper taped to an aging stainless steel wall. The other 67 pictures, however, are of Anais, Mia Smiles, and new Hungarian hunk Mario having a fine time completing Day Two of Inside Myself. All in all, then, it might be worth popping in and seeing what was up. 6/8/04	Have you ever been just beside yourself with anticipation? Well, in actuality that probably has very little to do with Inside Myself, which happens to be Anais’ next movie, just out from Ninn Worx. Still, probably some people really looked forward to it, and so we’ll stick with the intro. D.Minion was on her mark with the pictures this time around, although having Anais, Dee, Isabella, and Nikita Denise as subject matter probably didn’t hurt anything. In case you’re wondering, there are also dogs eating eggs, old mechanical equipment, motorcycles, wonderful architecture, and school-girl outfits. D.Minion died and went to Heaven. 6/7/04	You ever notice how things seem to go around in cycles? Here we hadn’t seen Lola in about a year, and then she shows up on Night Calls. And now, coincidentally, she reappears, this time playing with Kristal in D.Minion’s account of Not Another Porn Movie. Well, there will be a lot of Kristal today, but that’s OK. We do feel sorry for Maverick, however, as there are many, many pictures from which he will have to choose his new Message Board Icon. Come to think of it, maybe that serves him right.
6/4/04	Every time we try to get “official” with our handling of the web site by programming some functions to operate automatically, we get something wrong. We end up spending a lot of time and money, and then a stupid period or space or something is in the wrong place, and everything grinds to a halt. Consequently, many of you probably didn’t see the June 1st post (below), which was supposed to work in the fancy way, but everyone seems to have seen the June 2nd post — which we did the old fashioned way. Rather than dwell on our stupidity, however, we’ve decided to just ignore it and concentrate on Day Two of Angel Cassidy’s Sex, Money, Power shoot, which has not only a bit of Anais again, but also a whole bunch of Dee. 5/31/04	Don’t you hate it when you do stupid stuff? Somehow in all the chaos of the last couple of weeks (Michael and team are in Budapest shooting now. Well we’re making up for it today, and we’ll just have to apologize for delaying the reveal of Juli’s personal twist on chorizo con huevos, with Julian playing an important role. 5/27/04	We were pulling up to a convenience store today when we noticed a stunning, 20-something, brunette getting out of a sporty little car. The sun happened to be behind her, and it was obvious that she didn’t have a thing on under her very thin (and short) cotton dress. It was also obvious she knew how to walk to attract attention. Standing behind her in line, we observed that her key ring said, “Ye Old Tattoo Shop” on it, but she had no tattoos visible, despite the fact that there was not much of her actually covered by clothing. After paying for our purchases we exited and saw her car still parked in the lot, whereupon we also saw that she had leopard skin seat covers and a blood-red cell phone. Driving away, we ultimately took note of the fact that she had two bumper stickers on her vehicle. The first said, “White Trash,” and the second advised, “My priest fucked your honor student.” You gotta love LA. Now this all of this has nothing to do with D.Minion’s observations of Dee and The Nooner cast at a recent Spice Promotional shoot, but, then, neither do the 135 pictures from Hedonism III. 1/31/04	I read in a book today that someone turns 49 years old every 7½ seconds in the United States. In the process of putting together the 2004 Adult Entertainment Expo story, I was pretty sure I was going to be one of those people. The fact that this milestone happens some 5½ years from now did not disuade me from this thought. With the tallies all in we have 23 pages, somewhere over 10,154 words, 400+ pictures, and over 60 MB of video files added … today. Next time I ask for contributions from members on a story, will somebody please just shoot me? For now, this one’s in the database, and I’m making myself one serious Jack and Ginger … I also read in a book today, “There is only one boundary that limits a dreamer, and that is the boundary that he imposes on himself.” Around here, we might add … or herself …. 1/28/04	We know that Being with Juli Ashton was the last movie that Juli ever did for VCA. We also know that Georgia’s in town next week to sign her new Ninn Worx contract and talk about her new production line. We know that Dee’s on Night Calls Radio with Juli now, and we know that our good friend Juli has launched a new free site called HeyJuli.com. 1/27/04	Our good friends Julia Ann and Michael Raven scored big at the most recent AVN Awards show with Beautiful winning “Best Video Feature” and “Best Screenplay” for Wicked, “Best Actress” for Julia, and “Best Director” for Mr. Julia. Now we didn’t really have anything to do with the success of this production, but that’s never stopped us from writing a story about it anyway, and it’s not about to this time. 1/26/04	There are two major newspapers in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. On the way out to breakfast (one of our favorite weekend events) this past Saturday we picked up a copy of each, having granted ourselves a morning break from management, web sites, and home improvement. The headlines on one of them included, “Iraq Arms Inspector Resigns, Casts Doubt on Prewar Data;” “Kerry Showing Strength Across Board in N.H.;” “Bush Seeks 7% Boost in Military Spending;” and “U.N. to Send Team to Assess Elections in Iraq.” The other paper chose these titles to hook its readers into purchase: “Phil on Kobe: It’s Shaq’s team,” and “Kids lose their Captain Kangaroo.” We’re thinking this demonstrates a fundamental difference of approach to an arena, and when D.Minion covered Kristal on a fetish shoot, it brought the idea home. My father used to tell me regularly that, “It takes all kinds to make a world,” and like most things my father used to tell me, what he meant keeps getting clearer and clearer. 1/24/04	Who could have guessed that a nation-wide shortage of “2-Disk” DVD boxes could delay the anticipated release of Anais’ first big Feature production for Ninn Worx? Who could have guessed that mainstream films would finally catch on to the benefits of including a second disk with captivating special features and heretofore unseen insights, thereby causing the shortage? Who could have guessed that Lon would have been completely bummed out by this dastardly consequence? Guess when you’ll finally be able to see the movie trailer, and even buy your own copy if you want … NOW. 1/23/04	Throughout history there have been many, many definitions of Innocence. In 12 pages and 182 pictures, D.Minion must have covered them all. 1/16/04	We get emails all of the time asking us if the people that contribute to this site are “real” and if “the Members’ Parties really happen.” Well, we keep telling you that truth is stranger than fiction, and today we have yet another example. For some bizarre reason, Lon wanted to come to LA and work as an intern, so he could forget about no longer having any other work to do, and so we thought, “OK. Interns are free.” (We only said the first part out loud, however.) While most of the stuff was pretty boring, he did get a chance to try his hand at photographing one of Dee’s Cam Shows. 1/15/03	Sometimes one of the best things about being a member around here has to be that you can get news before anyone else does. Our business doesn’t hit the AP Wire very often, so mass dissemination sometimes fails in even the coolest of circumstances. Speaking of mass and semen, coincidentally, we’re giving you a little peek in advance of what we think history will prove to be a very successful movie, certainly the biggest ever starred in by a certain brand new player. 1/2/04	It’s mostly about polka dots today, and we have Bert to thank for it. We also wanted to pay a special tribute to someone who has been a special member over the past year, and so we’ve done that. Honestly we’re starting the new year with a bit of nuance that we don’t often employ around these parts. Fortunately, Anais and Wanda Curtis in Lost Angels: Wanda Curtis aren’t actually all that subtle. Subtlety is for wimps. 12/31/03	We had a plan. The skeleton crew that remained here over the holidays decided to post D.Minion’s “On The Scene” report from Anais’ first movie Fem: Diva in honor of the new year, what with Anais being new in 2003 and all. Thus they faithfully plodded through the processing of the 200+ pictures that D.Minion saw fit to capture. Then the editorial staff sat down (it sounds like it’s way more than one person if you say it that way) and took a look at the article. It is, in its current state, 14 pages long, utilizing 4,995 words. “Word Count” can be a daunting tool. Consequently, we came up with another plan. Today we have a nice little story about a day last summer when D.Minion was on the set for Spice TV with Julia Ann. It has a nice little collection of 10 paragraphs, most of them short, and a nice group of 37 mostly naked pictures of Julia. We liked this a lot. We will do our Fem: Diva piece in honor of the Adult Entertainment Expo that begins next week in Las Vegas, thus giving you a week to get through “The Epic That Began Anais.” You will think this is nice. The fact that D.Minion returns from vacation tonight, and will therefore be around to help with the bulk of the work that we face, has almost nothing to do with the reason that we decided to wait. 12/28/03	Sean Michaels was kind enough to lend us his little tease for Rock that Ass, 23, and since the show features Dee, we figured today would be a good day to show off a dirty couple dozen. Now there will certainly be better (and more complete) coverage as time goes on, but if you think of this as primarily a therapeutic value, it will certainly serve as a more pleasant diversion than some will find today. 12/25/03	If you ask my mother, she’ll tell you that the problem with the modern-day Christmas holiday stems from the “evil root of money.” According to her, people have forgotten the True Meaning of Christmas, and as a fine upstanding Baptist (ok, as fineand upstanding as one can be while still being a Baptist), she’ll be quick to point out that this festive season should NOT rely on gift-giving, but rather should invoke emotional, introspective, and faithfully tithing genuflection. Well, I can confidently say here that mom would be proud of this post. I can confidently say this because I’m absolutely certain mom is not a member of this site, and thus will never be able to see what’s inside. Mom always says I lack a certain reverence for tradition; my mom has always been very wise. 12/24/03	The Holiday Season is upon us, and we thought of the perfect gift for all of you. Rather than give away the secret, we’ll just tell you that we’ve decided to call it the Vachs Box. At a time of year when too many institutitions equate “value” with “cost,” we’re encouraging the simple path around here. Starting from the intrinsic premise that “It’s the thought that counts,” we’ve decided that Inari must be extremely valuable, as she stirs many thoughts … to say the least. 12/19/03	We have our relatively common use of nostalgia today, but we also have a bit of poetry, complete with literary criticism, and even a touch of a requiem. Basically it may be just a little deep for casual perusal this time around, so maybe it’s best to simply look at the pictures of Kristal Summers acting out Love Letters. Many of you probably know that a member named Maverick (and that sounds like a country song) has quite a fascination with Ms. Summers. 12/17/03	It’s Night Calls Night again, and D.Minion got in her latest coverage just under the wire. She’s been spending so much time on set of late that she’s been falling further behind in her scribely duties. We have put her mind at ease, however, when she expresses her fears that we’ll reassign her various jobs to the couple of new interns we have working here for a bit and then fire her. As you peruse Night Calls, December 3, 2003 you too can rest assured that D.Minion will be around for a long time. We have clearly explained to her that she can’t be fired, as slaves have to be sold … Do we have an opening bid, by the way? 12/16/03	In a recent FDA study, United States government doctors researching test drugs administered weekly doses of VIAGRA to an equal number of doctors and lawyers. While the majority of the doctors achieved enhanced sexual prowess, the lawyers simply grew taller. The US government researchers are at a loss to explain. That pretty much typifies today’s miscellaneous approach. Sometimes you just run across stuff you don’t know what to do with, and so you just throw it all together and see what comes out.
