2/27/23	Doing the “homage” picture has a long history in the adult movie business, although admittedly with very different levels of success. You start with an already familiar cast of characters and, at least in theory, a story/scenario already built in for you. That said, one must always be careful of trademark violations. You cannot, say, use a giant splooge shot dripping down a Batman costume on your cover and hope to get away with that. Now wildly overstating the cost of a movie also has a long and inglorious history in the movie business, so now we have two things to think about as we begin our Babe Runners journey today. 2/13/23	One cannot equate the experience of all auditions equally. Most of them, for example, entail living with the fact that the odds are very stacked against you before you even begin. Everyone you see in the waiting room looks exactly like you do, and most of them have better resumés to make matters worse. A couple of them might even be related to someone on the production staff or have worked with the director before on some other project. Bottom line: It ain’t pretty, and it ain’t for the faint of heart. … On the other hand, some auditions have none of those drawbacks, as you have the job before you even show up. Dandy trick, that. 2/12/23	Apparently they scheduled a football game today in order to celebrate Rihanna’s return to the stage after a seven-year absence. Overall, that seems like a very nice thing to do, all things considered. Maybe the NFL has begun to develop a heart, after all. Folks were so excited that they even paid upward of $7 million just to air a 30-second spot during the Rihanna event. They have even set it up so that they will play 90 minutes in a pre-concert phase, and then conclude with another 90 minutes as a celebration of her greatness… Wow. Right? … We have made peace with the fact that we cannot compete with Rihanna, but maybe either before or after you will be able to enjoy a full movie supporting a different kind of female power in She’s Down to … well, y’know. 10/15/05	So the hectic pace around here lately has led to way too many episodes of fast food and pizza delivery.
