Apparently the members’ party story the other day raised a lot of questions via email about Kristal’s “visitor” to the event. As a general principle, the more a movie budget decreases, the amount of cleverness required to make something memorable increases. If you throw a bunch of money at something, of course, that will not necessarily make it a hit — or even interesting — but at least you can get first-rate special effects and explode a bunch of stuff to distract people.
