1/29/06	Call it a hunch, but we’re thinking we’ve got the first of a few of the “Seen on the AEE 2006 Scene” reports here. We’re trying to start everyone off easy by not subjecting you to the feared mass of a typical D.Minion elucidation on the annual event in Las Vegas, so we figured we’d start with lil’ ol’ SteveD – a man of few words and many pictures – a man, in other words, close to the hearts of many members. So if you’re looking for Kristal Summers, Juli Ashton, Christy Canyon, Julia Ann, or anyone else that might hang out at a porn convention, well, so was Steve. And all of the women seemed very happy to pose for Steve. He must be a very kind man. In a past life, maybe SteveD was Ghandi. 1/28/06	All in all, waking up every morning to the sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean beats the heck out of waking up to the sounds and smells of millions of automobiles. Still, if you have to hang out in Los Angeles it doesn’t hurt to hang out with Miko Tan and Eva Angelina, particularly when you can make fun of the folks from the city. Out here, let’s just say we had a Fabulous time. Inside, of course, you’ll see (and read if you’re so inclined) much more … um … detail. It’s all about “d” tail around here, y’all. Speaking of tales, just when you think you’ve heard everything in this business, you realize you’re wrong. Now I’ve been in the XXX industry for 15 years now, and even I get suprised. While on this Ninn Shoot, one of the male performers looked over to the monitors and said, “She’s too tight.” Understandably confused, the young Director looked at me and asked what to do. Naturally I gave the most obvious answer that came to mind. “Give me her phone number,” I suggested. One need always maintain perspective I’ve learned. 1/23/06	It occurs to us that some people may need something to take their mind off of fumbles, interceptions, general embarrassment and overall ickiness. In our vast experience with these feelings of sadness, we’ve found that Anais can be a dandy diversion. If, for example, you have some stunning exclusive pictures of Anais practicing her modeling on a country set, and then you have visual evidence of Anais being somewhat skilled at self-satisfaction, you might be able to avoid burning everything orange and blue in your wardrobe. 1/22/06	Have you ever felt like important things just take an eternity to come to fruition? Well as it turns out a lot of things come (at least as a sort of fruition) in Wicked’s Eternity, and because we know people that know people we can tell you some things about it. For example Julia Ann’s horse didn’t really die in this movie, nor did our buddy Eric Masterson. See how important it is to keep up to date around here? 1/20/06	Sometimes the simplest things in life can make all of the difference, can’t they? Take for example a week where you get stuck doing all sorts of really un-sexy things like upgrading servers and checking php code for a new catalogue system that no one else is even going to know is there if it works right. And then say you still have like 70,000 images from the Vegas convention to go through (well, there probably aren’t that many, but there are a lot) and some of them are quite frankly just a little oogey. When you’re having a week like that, it turns out Monique Alexander can just brighten your whole day. Come to think of it, she’s always pretty much had that effect on the office. 1/16/05	Woo-Hoo! In going through some of the current “tasks” for the folks over at michaelninn.com we happened across some devilishly fun clips of our old friend Shayla LaVeaux. Naturally, we blatently coopted these little diddies for our own use as well because we Risqué are a loyal bunch … and we have historically enjoyed sexy naked women too. OK. 1/15/05	Well, we’re still going through a bazillion pictures and mpegs from the recent AEE show, and we finally took a break to let everyone know we’re still alive, despite having had to listen to all of the sportcasters across the country explaining how wonderful the Indianapolis Colts are, and how sadly overrated the Denver Broncos are. Odd, that. More to the point, however, we took some time to put together a quick set of Kristal Summers hanging around the hotel room, when she wasn’t hanging around the convention. 1/9/06	Apparently while we were gone the “New Year’s” post (below) kept appearing and disappearing. Not being sure what exactly happened, we decided to blame it on Gremlins, since we don’t want to waste all of our “Blame it on D.Minion” chits this early in the year. That said, we’re trying something different, which for us generally means we’re going to end up in a place completely different from the one we imagined we’d end up when we set out, but at least we’re used to that. 1/2/06	Consider these our New Year’s Nudity Resolutions. Now these are a lot like regular New Year’s Resolutions, but they’re a lot more fun to keep. If you factor in Juli Ashton, Nikita, Vicca, and some (close, it seems) friends of theirs, you get one dandy equation that will hopefully keep y’all busy for the week we’ll be away in Las Vegas mingling, mixing, doing interviews and taking pictures … basically doing all the fun stuff Maverick doesn’t get to this year. If you have to struggle through these tedious work exercises, at least you should be able to taunt your friends about it. Hmm. That’s another fine New Year’s Resolution, come to think of it. 11/26/05	We have, you may have noticed, perhaps a slight tendency toward the insouciant. Believing fully in the value of the irreverent, though, we’ve nonetheless somehow managed to offend sufficiently few individuals to still be around a full decade after venturing into the now antiquated BBS form of the Internet. Well, things have a tendency to keep moving along, and the value of this retrospective potential spawned the last post of our “Thanksgiving Week, 2005.” We had one remaining D.Minion story for an old compatriot, and we decided this would be a good time to use it. So we did. Hey, once we finally decide something, at least we get right with the program. By the way, if you ever hear us plan on putting up a post every day for a week, no matter what our benevolent intentions, will someone please call a doctor? Someone’s clearly very ill at the office. 11/25/05	So today’s one of those days you’re supposed to be sitting around remembering the 70’s commercial: “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.” Well, maybe that’s what you’re supposed to be doing. What you’re probably doing is sitting around remembering how many variations on a turkey theme you’re going to have to go through to get rid of all of the leftovers and swearing you’re having pizza for Christmas dinner this year. 11/24/05	Now you’ve got your basic “history” and you’ve got some ever-more-interesting “herstory” today, featuring some of the very early days of a Risqué Business. Now that wouldn’t be all that captivating perhaps, but we do get a chance to show off the early work of Alexis DeVell and Shayla LaVeaux, although I don’t recall either of them “working” too hard during this particular trip come to think of it. 11/23/05	Michael’s finally got a new home for Ninn Worx, so he’s happy. And tomorrow we get to see Santa Claus in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, so what’s not to be happy about? 11/22/05	We’re continuing our thankful ways today with a look back at Dee – before she had her own show on Playboy/Spice TV, and before she had her own show twice a week on KSEX. It’s a Night Calls sort of a post, this being rather of the Night Calls 411 variety. You know, we’re even fairly confident that we can think of at least one anonymous, but faithful, member that will be very thankful for these shots of Nikki Nova and her sidekick Crystal Knight. 11/21/05	Well, it’s the beginning of Thanksgiving Week, and so we thought we’d do some giving of thanks this week. We’ve always thought that if you can’t be clever, you can always just be literal. So we’re starting with Julia Ann because quite honestly Julia came to us near to perfect and she moved on just the same way. It would be nice to think that we had a lot to do with Julia’s success over the years, but that’s just not the case. Julia’s seriously one of the most sincere and caring individuals we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with, and the fact that she used to spend time naked over at the house just kind of worked as a bonus over the years. Now if you ever happen to see Julia Ann on tour somewhere, be sure and tell her about all of the nice things we’ve said about her, and then see if she’ll get naked for you. Now the Halloween Episode did provide its predictable wackiness, and D.Minion even got a picture of a naked band member this time around, although before you get too excited we should “note” that it happens to be a male, so his member may not be as interesting as you might imagine. We also debut the appearance of the Existential Comic in what may turn out to be his only appearance in these wonderful pages – not that he’d care much one way or the other. 7/27/05	Oh, boy … Now we’ve done it. For those of you that aren’t members of both sites, Michael (over at MichaelNinn.com obviously) recently wanted us to try putting D.Minion stories about his shoots over on his site too. Now we’ve always put them here if they inolved anyone we know and love, but a silly as it sounds Mr. Ninn sometimes does shoots that don’t include any Risqué women. I know. Crazy, huh? Anyway he loved the way it looked and the response it got, so now he wants us to do them for EVERY Ninn Worx shoot. Now it may not seem like it, but it’s a lot of work to post these stories the way we do, and since The Risqué Clan represents the major focus around here, we came up with a plan. We agreed to the task on the condition that y’all could see the “other” Ninn shoot stories too, and Michael agreed (happily, we might add). So today you get to see Porn Star which, although not technically starring anyone from our group, the movie does rather heavily relay on some personalities you may be very familiar with. That’s all we’ll say. We don’t mind helping Michael, but we’re still going to be nice about it. 7/25/05	One would think that working in the XXX Industry would be a fairly good job. Now we should probably dispell some myths here before we even get started, so “bare” [sic, we know] with us as we try not to ruin too many fantasies. … Hmm … This might be too large of a topic for a “New Stuff” lead-in, so let’s just go with the Bigee Myth: Women in the Porn Industry don’t actually have sex with anyone, anywhere, at the drop of a hat, or even trousers. OK. That’s over with. Actually this works exactly like most jobs. Everything gets old if you do it often enough. Honestly, the technical production of your favorite Adult Fare, probably wasn’t nearly as romantic as you might imagine. Put in more understandable terms, if you’re married it’s not that your spouse has “lost something” nearly so much as it is that you’re just really, really used to it. So don’t feel bad. (Do something about it, but don’t just sit around feeling bad.) More on point for the rest of us, as to today’s purposes we’ve called our wonderfully illustrated insights “Down in the Dolldrums” [still sic, we know]. 7/13/05	Well we assume that figuring out what went wrong should make us feel better, but basically it just means that we have a lot of “fixing” to do. Sigh. Still, the first lost story that surfaced from technical oblivion happened to be D.Minion’s account of the same Innocence shoot that Lon had an account of … sort of. There were a couple of shoots going on at the same time, and DM (this time around) only accounted for ONE of the two while still managing to get in 280 pictures and over 6,000 words. This is one of those many, many words posts, y’all, so prepare yourselves while we go look for some more of what we lost. Don’t worry too much though: We’re only looking for lost stories. We gave up looking for our minds some time ago. 1/31/05	We don’t know quite how to describe Mav’s MEGA Report on Internext, the AEE, and the AVN Awards show except to say it’s BIG. It’s really, really BIG. There are well over 300 pictures and 7,000 words. Heck, we had to build the mother of all index pages, just to try to help people figure out where they are in the story when they come back to it. Let’s put it this way, from within the story and picture pages there are FORTY THREE individual links back to the index page. You’re going to need a lot of beer for this one, folks. Lots of pretty girls, though, and Lon becomes a Hip Hop artist. I guess if you’re really interested there are a lot of pictures of Juli Ashton, Kristal Summers, Paola Ray and Dee, and quite a few of Inari Vachs and Alicia Rhodes, surprisingly. Even more surprising are the pictures of Chasey Lain and the fact that Maverick was able to tell us every minute detail of his trip, except where he got the DVD that Christy Canyon asked him about. As it turns out, The New Executives at Playboy TV decided that they should wait from August 25, 2005 until October 29, 2005 between episodes, and then wait another two months until December 31st for the next one. Allegedly there’s going to be another episode this Friday, so we’ll check with Juli for you. Basically today we’re just pointing out the apparent stupidity of Playboy TV executives sometimes. 1/15/05	Not taking anything away anything from Mav’s recent contribution, we felt it time to present a set of Dee in a more “professional” setting. Dee’s a particularly apropos subject today for many reasons, not the least of which is that she’s just so darned pretty that it’s just hard not to talk about her. There are actually 100 photos today, AND an underwater view of Dee that … well … you really have to see it …. 1/13/05	“Seventy-Six trombones led the big parade,” as I understand it. So that means that today’s post is better than a big parade, as it has 77 more pictures of the 2004 KSEX Awards show, this time taken by Foreign Correspondent Maverick. Now we need to explain three things. 1. We’re making no attempt to draw any correlation between trombones and photographs of partying porn stars, rather leaving to future generations of literary students an attempt to try to decipher what deep and tortured reasonings led us to this strange juxtaposition. 2. A simple fact of corporate America rejoices in giving someone a grand-sounding title like “Foreign Correspondent” rather than actual money, and 3. No. We do not think it at all strange that a straight man might know a few show tunes. I can also cook, but I can’t sew … so there. Ready to move on now? 1/8/05	If you’re reading this, well then Praise the Digital Dieties. That means you’re looking at the new server like you’re supposed to be. By the way, really, really smart people wouldn’t have chosen the end of the year … over the holidays … right before the largest annual industry convention in Las Vegas … at the same time as moving a home and office … as the perfect time to change hosting and billing companies for the two biggest sites we operate. Nope. That’s certainly not what a really, really smart person would have done. That’s just what we did. On the upside we still have many good contacts with some exceptionally beautiful women, like … let’s see … this is Kristal Summers, Becca, Dee, Inari Vachs, Cheyenne Silver, Juli Ashton, and Wendy Divine. It might be easier to just look inside the members’ area, rather than just believe us. The pictures get bigger in there. Actually a lot of things get bigger around these women. Go figure.
