5/30/10	Can you look back at any particular group of days in your life and think, “You know, that was really, really good … “? We assume that almost all of us can do that, and if you can’t, well we’re sincerely very sorry for you. That said, you should really get about setting up one of those times for yourself, and we’ve helpfully provided some suggestions here today. 5/23/10	If you’ll pardon the potentially politically incorrect influence for a moment, we’ll tell you that although we’ve shown all manner of “chicks” around here, this might be the first time we’ve actually shown you chickens. Well, we would tell you, should we deign to answer such a reasonable question, not so much really. 4/30/10	Quite a few NFL rookie training camps opened today, as we’re certain each of you knows, since listening to anything at all that concerns either upcoming primary elections or whatever the government in Washington D.C. – and which political party thinks the other one has been taken over by morons – has long since ceased being interesting. Well, in Denver (in case you missed this vital information) they had a whopping 32 new team members present for this first day of workouts. And they had 47 members of the press in attendance to document all the vital information stemming from the day. They do like their Broncos in Colorado. … And speaking of Colorado, we have some news of our own regarding the beautiful state, and a bit of its homegrown beauty, actually. 4/28/10	Considering it has been quite difficult as of late to get a plane ride out of London, it’s probably a good thing that Maverick can find fun things to do within the city. Apparently the volcanic ash has not affected Mav’s mental capicity (yet). 4/25/10	You love Fun Facts, right? … So Yahoo, clearly one of the better-known Internet Giants has been running a very simple poll that only had one question in it: “Are you in favor of the Health Care Reform Bill?” And NFL.com, presumably not nearly such a major player in the virtual world, has been running a rather more complicated poll, theoretically attempting to determine “The Top 75 Draft Picks of All Time.” (This wording sounds a bit like we could vote for Charleton Heston in Ben Hur, but it could just be that “Time” didn’t really start until the 1960’s.) … Now as of last Friday, slightly over 39 thousand people had voted on the Yahoo poll, and somewhere over 45 million people had voted on the Pro Football question. We’re not going to try to draw any conclusions for you from that little tidbit of information, but we will tell you that Michael Ninn did not cast a vote in either arena, because he’s been rather busy being all artistic and such. 4/21/10	Clearly almost everyone finds themselves now camped in front of ESPN, waiting breathlessly for the NFL Draft to begin tomorrow. For some odd reason a few of the office people here think that it being Earth Day might be of more significance, but those people are obviously disturbed. … On the off chance that you have a computer near your television, we’re filling you in a bit more with “Knowing Cytherea” — the modern version. We’ve got a lot of the demonstrably liquid lass in the queue these days, and not one of us feels any problem with this. 4/15/10	Tax Day may seem like an odd day to tell a Love Story, but if you think about it, Love generally has no rhyme or reason, and besides most of us love it when we finally put the tax junk away for another year. 8/31/09	This weekend we learned that “nothing is impossible when you have scaffolding” – which honestly has nothing whatsoever to do with traveling with porn stars, ostensibly the topic for today. 8/20/09	You know the best thing about summer interns? OK. They’re free, but do you know the other best thing about summer interns? … They’re always amazingly happy to go back and blow the dust off of all the things we’ve meant to do, oh, for about a decade or so now. Of course they also find some truly bizarre things, some sadly uncomfortable things, and some things that make perfectly clear why we didn’t use them years and years ago when they were new. 8/16/09	Big cities certainly have their appeal, but there really is nothing like local news in a small town. Why just last night we learned that officials have authorized air support for fighting all the fires currently blazing in California “24-hours a day, during daylight hours” . So far we’ve been unable to duplicate the problem on any operating system or browser we can find, and we can find a lot of them, actually. 8/11/09	Double, double, toil, no trouble … . And if you’re acquainted with the Bard, then you can see how one little change can really throw the whole meaning out of whack. On the upside, we did keep the meter the same, and that should count for something. … OK. So it probably doesn’t count for much, since one syllable substitutions are pretty easy, but hanging out with Dee while she’s naked certainly counts for a great deal, and sharing the day with you for even more, we’d think. 8/9/09	Traditionally one thinks of birthdays as happy occasions. Being a fan of happy occasions, then, we decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth date of our new old friend, Uncle Gibby. OK, so as a purely technical matter we’re not sure how many times now His Gibbness has celebrated this same 50th birthday, but we definitely missed the real 50th one, so we decided to just go with that. Besides, it seems a safe bet that he didn’t have Anais and Chasey Lain to help him with the original one, so we’re thinking he won’t really mind. Also, he decided to share this bit of good fortune with everyone, which demonstrates just a bit of his sterling character, and he’s not even British. It’s good to know people that know people. 6/30/09	Maverick has won the intra-office race to post the debut report on Erotica LA this year, or at least the opening volley. Our posting queue still seems to be surviving in a bit of a content food processor, though, so as a favor to some of the people working diligently on this side of “the pond” we have created a special page with a not-so-subtle hint as to what’s in store for mid-summer meditation around here. As for Mav, there seems to be a rather prominent theme surrounding British Baked Beans amidst the bevy of porn performers, probably proving once and for all that we’re potentially a bad influence. 6/27/09	Part of the interest in the adult entertainment world comes from the way that even though it can get a bit plodding, just like any job, every once in awhile things just come up in this world, and you have to make adjustments to your original plan. Even forgetting that whole “Man plans. God laughs.” philosophy for the moment, sometimes you really do get a chance to do something just a little different, and so you put whatever plan you used to have on hold for a minute. When such diversions involve Tori Welles, Ginger Lynn, and Christy Canyon, well, that brings up a whole other range of unique aspects to the XXX life. For centuries the prevailing intellectual theory seems to have been that history repeats itself, what with there being “no new things under the sun … yada, yada, yada” — although we will admit that intellectual theory sometimes resembles a lot more the latter than the former. 6/23/09	How long has it been since we’ve had a leader that seems to have some actual grasp of real world knowledge? Now we’d be among the (potentially few) that would say that any successful politician must possess a level of intelligence, but we feel obligated to point out that a substantial chasm separates “smart” from “quick” on the mental scale. Those of you that were able to see President Obama’s press conference today got a chance to see one individual with both cerebral characteristics, and gosh but that’s fun. … Fortunately for all of you, we’ll leave the analysis to the plethora of newscasters that assume we all need the guidance and open instead our coverage of the just completed Erotica Los Angeles convention with our traditional “Two Days in Two Minutes” video presentation, along with a very few editorial ruminations. … All in all, even really, really smart people sometimes aren’t as interesting as a vast collection of scantily-clad women.
